00:00Start on Friday night. Miami has won three of the last four against Louisville. Louisville walks in to this road matchup four and one overall. They're catching right now, coach, 13 and a half points against the Hurricanes. Miami won this game last year, 52 to 45. They got the win and cover as a four and a half point road favorite. They're now laying almost two touchdowns in this ballgame. How do you see this matchup playing out on Friday night?
00:28Well, I mean, Miami, again, as I said when we first started the show, they just seem to be getting better and better. It's Miami and who's going to be lucky and who's going to be able to play against them in the championship. Louisville has been inconsistent on offense. They have not been like they have been in their better years and they're struggling to put back-to-back games together where they play good offensively, whereas now you've got guys like Bain on defense and, of course, Carson Beck on offense.
00:58You've got them playing good on both sides of the ball at Miami. And then you've got Miami. Miami's four and one against the spread this year, and you've got Louisville one and four against the spread this year. That's because their offense isn't putting the numbers up there at Louisville that you'd like to see them put up there.
01:14So although that number is pretty high, I think Louisville's going to have to get their act. Both teams have been off. You could see some surprise offense, surprise defense. More likely you'll see something different from Louisville because they know they've got to change some things up to pull off a win.
01:29Absolutely. I think when you look at Louisville as well, from an offensive perspective, averaging 36 points per game, they're only allowing and holding opposing offenses to 21 points per game.
01:41They're very good still in run support, holding opposing offenses to 111 rushing yards on the ground, only 3.2 yards per carry, and one of the better third-down defenses.
01:51And all the FBS holding opposing offenses to 31% conversion rate, if they force Carson Beck potentially into long third-downs, shut down the run of Mark Fletcher and those running backs for the Hurricanes, potentially they could be within the number.
02:08But in order to pull out this victory, they're going to have to definitely win the turnover battle on the road and start fast to potentially dictate the tempo in this matchup.
02:18Yeah, and you've got a quarterback that's a veteran now of all the quarterbacks that should not be intimidated or be panicked if he gets into some long yardage situations.
02:29And that's if they can stop the run or stop the play of Miami's offense, which is pretty dang good.
02:36You've got a veteran quarterback that has shown nothing but poise when it comes to handling difficult situations.
02:43So not a good situation for Louisville, and buddy, you've got to think that Miami is the team that's on a roll, and Louisville is going to have to pull something out with their off week that will really catch Miami off guard.
