00:00We left off talking about Florida State and Mike Norvell.

00:03They're on the road in Gainesville.

00:05Florida did not step up last week as a home underdog against their arch rival,

00:11the Tennessee Volunteers.

00:12They lost that matchup 31-11 as a 3.5-point underdog.

00:17They now open up, Coach, as a 1.5-point home favorite in-state rivalry.

00:23DJ Lagway, this offense, need to get it going.

00:26I actually like the Gators.

00:28I told you.

00:28They're going to get up for one of these games.

00:30It didn't happen last week against the Volunteers.

00:33I think it happens against the Seminoles.

00:36They step up.

00:37They got this win last year in Tallahassee.

00:39I think they knock out the Seminoles from bowl contention on Saturday afternoon.

00:45I agree with you, Joe.

00:46I just think it's pretty much of a toss-up.

00:481.5-point is the spread in the game.

00:51Florida State has not won an away game.

00:53Now, it has not won the game since 2023 against Florida,

00:58but they have not been good on the road in Florida.

01:02And I think you mentioned it last week.

01:04You know, this last week against Tennessee is a rival game.

01:08But against Florida State, it's a bigger rival game.

01:11Whether you can get up for two rivals in a row, I don't know.

01:14But I think Florida will definitely be up for this game.

01:17And I think they will play the best football they've played.

01:20Florida State has been up and down.

01:22I don't know either of these teams you can predict how they're going to play completely.

01:26You just have to have a feel for it.

01:28But I do think Florida at home, playing on their home field,

01:32where they usually do a great job and are successful,

01:36I just think they have a better day.

01:38They've got a better football team defensively than Florida State.

01:42Their quarterback, I really think Lagwe can be a better player than Tommy.

01:48Tommy just fits into their offensive scheme.

01:50People seem to have figured that out.

01:52I think Florida will figure that out as well.

01:55Their defense will come through.

01:56And I think Florida wins this one to keep FSU out of a bowl game,

02:01out of the postseason.

02:02And an interesting factor about why I can't back Florida State coach,

02:06they're 0-4 on the road this year.

02:08They lost to Stanford as a 17-and-a-half point favorite,

02:11lost to NC State as a favorite, lost to Clemson basically as a dog,

02:16did not step up in key moments.

02:18How could you buy into a program that is winless on the road,

02:23especially in conference games, right?

02:25I think the Stanford game for me was the most glaring lane,

02:2817-and-a-half to a dead-and-buried Stanford Cardinal team.

02:32They lost the game outright.

02:34Yeah, and then we go to NC State last week when it was talked about,

02:37they can't win on the road.

02:39NC State would have been one of those schools that they don't play against very well.

02:44And they go out there and they find a way to lose.

02:47And they have not won an away game since 23.

02:50And until they win an away game, I have a hard time pulling for them.

02:53Again, neither team is going to have a great season.

02:56Neither team is going to have all the answers to this football game.

03:01But I just think when it comes down to it, Florida at home,

03:04a chance to beat the Gators.

03:05Nothing more can happen good for the Florida this year than to beat Florida State.

03:10And so I really believe that they'll play good enough.

03:13I don't know if either team will play great because they've got so many blemishes.

03:17But I think Florida will play one play better than Florida State and win this game.

03:21Yeah, they've lost four games, to your point, on the road this year.

03:24It started with Virginia, Stanford, Clemson, and NC State coached by an average margin

03:29of defeat of 9.7 points per game.

03:33So to your point, until that changes, can't be back a road team.

03:37Even as a slight underdog, they're going to have to win it outright against their arch rival,

03:42Coach and I, both like the Gators, laying a short number in this matchup.
