00:00The neonatal nest app was created in response to a need from parents of babies in the neonatal unit.
00:08As I'm sure you can appreciate, nobody really expects their baby to be admitted to the neonatal unit.
00:13So it's a shock and it's unexpected.
00:16So to try and make that journey a little bit easier, we wanted to create the app as a useful resource for practical information.
00:24So we have been thinking about it since the start of this year and we were able to develop it now.
00:33We asked a couple of the parents to give us a feedback and they are really loving it.
00:39I've just had a demonstration over there from one of the staff and it's absolutely fantastic.
00:43It's a really, really useful hub of information.
00:46It has everything you could possibly need and yeah, it's a great resource.
00:51We want it to be easily accessible. It's compatible with all phones and iPads and tablets
00:57and you just scan the QR code, it downloads the app and then everything is on your device ready to go.
01:03It's very easy to navigate as well and as you go into it you can make your way back to the homepage of it
01:08and go into the next topic as you need it.
01:10I am very happy with what we were able to achieve and I believe that the parents would be able to recommend it to others
01:19and we would be able to get a positive feedback.
01:25It's a new world, the neonatal unit and we try and make sure that you're as well informed whenever you come here
01:31but it's incredibly overwhelming so if you have things that are easy to access with this information in it
01:37then hopefully makes that journey that little bit easier.
