Belfast Giants deliver silverware and smiles to Ulster Hospital’s children ward

00:07You know, a lot of these kids here are going through a tough time

00:09and anything we can do to put a smile on their face,

00:12we view as a great honour and privilege.

00:14We would like to thank the Belfast Giants for coming to visit

00:18everybody in the paediatric unit today.

00:21It's been lovely for the children and young people to see

00:24the special trophies that they won and to celebrate with them as well.

00:29And they've had some really nice engagements with some of the families this morning

00:34and lots of good chat.

00:36Here at the Ulster Hospital we just want to bring as much joy as possible to the kids

00:40and a big part of that has been sharing the trophies with them

00:44and we've brought some colouring books and some reading books as well.

00:47Yeah, it was great to see the kids smile, you know,

00:50any time we can just bring a bit of joy to these kids' faces

00:54and also for the parents, you know, they're equally going through a tough time

00:57and so, yeah, anything we can do to put a smile on their face, we're happy to do.
