00:50from Telesur Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news.
00:57Israel intercepted and boarded three Global Summon Frateria ships in international waters
01:15on Wednesday and arrested their crews. According to the Frateria organizers, the Ma, Sirius and
01:21Adara ships were illegally intercepted and boarded by the Israeli occupation forces in international
01:27waters. They also informed that the Israeli naval vessels seem to have intentionally damaged
01:34the ship's communications in an attempt to block distress signals and stop the live stream
01:40of the illegal operation. They also called on governments, world leaders and international
01:46institutions to demand the safety and release of all on board. The Global Summon Frateria is
01:52made up of 52 votes with 500 activists from 44 different countries.
02:02In this context, the Global Summon Frateria issued a statement to report on the recent aggressions
02:07and confirmed that the Frateria continues its goal of reaching Gaza. The statement begins
02:13by saying that on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, at around 8.30 pm Gaza time, multiple vessels
02:20of Global Summon Frateria, notably Alma, Sirius, Adara, were illegally intercepted and boarded
02:27by Israeli occupation forces in international waters. Prior to illegally boarding the ships,
02:34it appears as though the Israeli naval vessels intentionally damaged ship communications in an attempt to block
02:42distress signals and stop the live stream of the illegal boat boarding. In this context,
02:48the members of the peaceful mission that seeks to break the Israeli siege stated that they
02:53are diligently working to account for all participants and crew and will share updates as soon as we
03:00have confirmed information about the status of boats, detentions, injuries and potential casualties.
03:07Finally, after calling on the international community to denounce this illegal attack on international waters,
03:13they underscored that despite the interception of a few vessels, the Global Summon Frateria is 70 nautical miles
03:21away from the Gaza coastline and will continue undeterred. And activist and Frateria member,
03:32Nestor Prieto, in an exclusive interview with Telesur confirmed the Israeli interception of the Frateria
03:37before the signal cut off. We are seeing, I have visual confirmation of how the ship is
03:45aporaching the Alma vessel at this moment, the Israeli interception is taking place against the first
03:50ship of the Global Summon Flotilla, it's a violent interception. We need to cut the communication at
03:55this moment, the organization is asking us to take our positions. From the heart of the Mediterranean,
04:01this non-violent mission, Imnester Prieto Emadar, as the occupation forces start assaulting the ships of
04:07the Global Summon Flotilla, I go back to you now, please, all eyes and transmit my message,
04:12we are peaceful journalists. In this context, activist Greg Stoker reported that 32 vessels
04:20of the Global Summon Flotilla continue their mission toward Gaza, regardless of Israeli threats,
04:25with an estimated 9 to 12 hours remaining until they reach the Strip. Greg here, Flotilla Update.
04:32People have said we have been detained. The Awaila, the vet boat has not. We still have about 32,
04:38at least 32 boats still sailing. We're about 60 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza, so 9 to 12
04:46hours away. We don't know if interdictions are going to happen or what exactly is going to happen,
04:51but the pressure you put on back home has certainly, certainly moved the political dimensions of what
04:57we're doing here. Keep the pressure going, y'all. Keep those phone lines flooded, and yes, they are still
05:05spraying boats with water, but it's not deterring anything free Palestine. And thousands of people
05:12around the world have denounced the illegal interception Wednesday of three Global Summon
05:17Flotilla vessels by the Israeli occupation forces. In Italy, protesters gathered at port areas in
05:23solidarity with the Flotilla as soon as they heard about the Israeli aggression, while the country's
05:29largest trade union called for a general strike on Friday. On the other hand, Germans rallied at
05:35Berlin's capital central train station to express their support for the humanitarian organization.
05:42Demonstrations have also been reported in Spain and the Turkish cities of Istanbul and Caeseri.
05:48In this context, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemned in a statement the attack
05:59perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against the Freedom Flotilla that was heading towards Gaza.
06:05The communique state, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, denounces and condemns in the strongest term
06:12the cowardly act of piracy committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Freedom Flotilla
06:18on October 1st, 2025. The statement declares, this military attack in international waters exposes
06:27once again the criminal nature of the Zionist regime which attacks a civilian and peaceful nation whose
06:33sole purpose was to deliver 5,500 tons of humanitarian aid to a Palestinian people subjected to starvation
06:42and extermination. It is miserable and grotesque that those who perpetrate televised ethnic cleansing dare
06:50to describe ships loaded with food and hope as a threat to security. It concludes our own wavering
06:57solidarity is with the heroic Palestinian people and with the courageous men and women who risking their
07:04own safety keep the flame of humanity alive in the face of Nazi fascist darkness.
07:14And Colombian President Gustavo Petro denounced Wednesday the arrest by the Israeli regime of two
07:19Colombian women who were part of the Global Sumul Flotilla. The Colombian President wrote on social
07:25media that if this information is true, Neranyahu has committed a new international crime. Two Colombian
07:33citizens who were engaged in humanitarian activities in solidarity with Palestine have been detained in
07:39international waters. The foreign ministry must file all the relevant complaints including in the
07:46Israeli courts. I invite international lawyers to join our lawyers in serving Colombia. The free trade
07:53agreement with Israel must be terminated immediately. The entire Israeli diplomatic delegation in Colombia must
08:01leave. The presidential guard battalion in accordance with its function will provide security for the Casa
08:08de Nariño. The US has decided to take back the weapons that according to them were provided on loan. This
08:16must be immediately replaced by Colombian security forces. That was their so-called aid to subjugate the peoples.
08:23However, Colombia will help any people who require our collaboration to control the entry of drugs into their
08:30country. Anna Arendt, the philosopher who analyzed totalitarianism, pointed out in the 1950s that the
08:37Nazi were still alive. Hitler is alive in world politics. Arendt was right. Hopefully the people will not be anesthetized.
08:47For his part, Bolivian President Ulizarse condemned the Israeli attack on the Sumo Flotilla. The head of state turned to his
08:59Telegram account to denounce how this unacceptable act of violence carried out under the responsibility of Prime Minister
09:07Benjamin Netanyahu constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and an affront to human dignity.
09:15Adding that no excuse can justify the attack against on our people whose only mission was to bring food and medicine to the
09:22Palestinian people. Arce called on the international community, multilateral organizations and the free peoples of the world to rise a strong voice of
09:32condemnation and mobilization against this new barbarity. Concluding his message by assuring that Bolivia reaffirms itself
09:40as a state of peace committed to the defense of human rights and the self-determination of peoples and demands an immediate
09:48end to Israeli hostilities against Palestine. Silence is complicity. Today, more than ever, humanity must stand on the side of justice and life.
10:02And in Palestine, Gaza's health ministry announced on Wednesday the death of two people, one of them a child,
10:08due to malnutrition and famine in the enclave, bringing the death toll from starvation to 455
10:15amid the ongoing Israeli aid blockade. The authority added that 17,000 children are suffering from severe
10:22malnutrition while patients are also being treated for stress and memory loss resulting from acute hunger.
10:30In this context, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees warned that
10:36malnutrition among children under the age of five doubled between March and June as a result of the
10:42tight Israeli aid and food blockade on the Palestinian enclave. These developments unfold as Israeli
10:49airstrikes continue across Gaza killing at least the 61 Palestinians in the last 24 hours according to medical sources.

11:13Welcome back to From the South. In Indonesia, rescue efforts continue after the partial collapse of a
11:29school on the island of Java near the capital of Jakarta. Rescue teams continue the search for at least
11:3591 people who have been trapped under the rubble since the incident occurred on Monday. The National Agency
11:42for Disaster Mitigation has reported four deaths and one survivor rescued in guarded condition. Meanwhile,
11:49the agency's director Mohamed Sijafi emphasized that they are using all possible means to find the victims
11:56alive such as thermal sensors, drones to locate the victims as a 72-hour so-called golden period for best
12:05survival chances. Now the news in the United Nations, the United Nations stabilization mission in the
12:16Democratic Republic of the Congo has recorded 1,087 civilian deaths in violent incidents in Nitori and
12:24North Kibu provinces since June 2025. The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in
12:30the country being told Keita reported on the growing violence in the region. Keita explained that the
12:37current situation is marked by violence from hundreds of armed groups and the occupation of
12:43territories by the Congolese River Alliance March 23rd Movement. The United Nations Representative asserted
12:50that despite the decisions of the Security Council and the progress represented by the agreements between
12:56the Congo and the Congo and Rwanda, there is no real ceasefire.

13:58known as Generation C-212, which in a statement on its Facebook page expressed its regret for the riots and
14:05vandalism against public and vandalism against public and private property. The Moroccan Prosecutor's Office
14:10announced that 37 people will be prosecuted for their participation in the protests, including 34 who were
14:17released on bail and whose trial will begin on October 7th. The protests began on September 27th in a context of

15:42In the Philippines, authorities reported at least 69 dead and 147 injured after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake
15:50that struck the Cebu province on Tuesday. The earthquake occurred off the coast of Pogo City,
15:55causing power outages and damage to roads, bridges, buildings, schools and a historic church
16:02over 100 years old. In this context, the number of victims and injured is expected to increase as the
16:08situation is assessed. Under these circumstances, the authorities have requested the help of volunteer
16:15doctors to assist in the rescue efforts, given the possibility of more victims under the rubble.
16:21Over 370 aftershocks have hindered search efforts.
16:31Weather authorities reported that Hurricane Umberto and the newly formed Hurricane Imelda continue to
16:37advance through the Caribbean, making landfall in the United States. The U.S. National Park Service
16:43reported that the weather events caused the collapse of at least five homes and outer banks in North Carolina.
16:51In view of the possibility of other collapses, the agency urged visitors to stay away from the area.
16:57Previously, the outlying storms of Hurricane Umberto hit the island of Bermuda,
17:02following by what is now Hurricane Imelda, as it moves towards the United States.

17:26From the south, Argentinian police repressed once a rally in front of the National Congress,
17:42whose participants were demanding the respect of their social rights by the government of Javier
17:47Mele. The demonstrators were expressing the rejection of the executive vetoes on laws aimed at
17:53guaranteeing funding to the Garrahan hospital, public universities and people with disabilities.
17:59According to witnesses, the police used tear gas, water canyons and rubber bullets against the
18:05demonstrators injured more than 20 people.
18:08On Tuesday, the Peruvian police arrested the main suspect in the femicide of three Argentinian
18:23young women on September. The detained, 20 years old Peruvian citizen Tony Valverde, nicknamed Little
18:30Junior, allegedly operates a drug trafficking gang in the Zabaleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
18:37Argentinian authorities have reportedly started the extradition procedures for Valverde, who denied
18:44authorship for the triple femicide upon his capture. The murders of Morena Verde, Brenda del Castello and
18:52Lara Morena Gutierrez have sparked nationwide outrage in the South American nation, triggering
18:58demonstrations over the weekend. Nine people have been detained in relation to the case so far as citizens
19:05demand justice for the victims. A recent study conducted in Panama revealed that more than 70 percent
19:16of the population disapproves of President José Raúl Molino's administration. The results of the
19:21Veo Panama survey conducted by Prodigio Consulting showed that 76.3 percent of citizens disapprove of
19:30Molino's administration since 2024. The poll, which has a margin of error of 2.5 percent, also showed that
19:3962.1 percent of Panamanians distrusted the head of state. Likewise, 77 percent of citizens consider that
19:48Molino's government is on the wrong track. Now we head to Mexico, where President Claudia Sheinbaum,
19:58the first woman to hold his disposition, marks her one-year anniversary in office. Recent polls show that
20:05Sheinbaum has a 73 percent approval rating among Mexicans after one year, 66 percent have a favorable opinion of
20:14her leadership and 58 percent believe she is doing a good job managing the country's economy. Additionally,
20:2275 percent of citizens support her social policies.
20:32Her achievements include constitutional and judicial reforms regarding the rights of indigenous peoples,
20:38as well as the recovery of public companies. Other notable achievements include reversing the energy reform,
20:46rescuing Pemex, reducing international homicides by 32 percent, deploying more than 130 000 security
20:54personnel throughout the country, and implementing comprehensive education reform.
20:59We go to China, where a flag-rising ceremony took place at Tiananmen Square in Beijing to mark the 76th
21:14anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Thousands of spectators from all over the
21:20country gathered in the square from early in the morning to witness the event while singing the national anthem.

21:34country's national day. In this context, President Xi Jinping gave a speech in which he prized the
