00:00I'm sitting here and I'm trying not to get overly excited or cocky about the fact that the Ravens
00:07are basically like the end of the year Astros at this point. The Ravens don't have any actual
00:14major league football players on their roster. They've had to call up a bunch of dudes from
00:23Corpus Christi and Sugar Land. That's where the Ravens are right now. And I think that is
00:27baked into a line on this game, which I find a little surprise. Lamar Jackson injured his
00:35hamstring on Sunday and knowing full well that they've got a bunch of injuries along every level
00:41of the defense. I mean, they've got Nnamdi Matabike out for the year on the defensive line.
00:46Roquan Smith is dealing with a hamstring injury. He's their defensive captain and leader at linebacker.
00:51And both of their starting corners are dealing with injuries right now. I still thought the
00:57Ravens would be a small favorite in this game just based on history. It's in Baltimore. They're
01:03the Ravens. That feels like a pretty resourceful team in terms of finding solutions for things.
01:08The Texans are favored in this football game on Sunday by a point and a half. They're a one and
01:13a half point favorite. On paper, they should be. The Ravens defense has been one of the worst defenses
01:20in the league. The Texans offense has been one of the worst offenses in the league,
01:25but you go over to the other two platoons and the Ravens are likely going to be starting Cooper
01:31Rush. Nine and five is an NFL starter, but Cooper Rush and not Lamar Jackson going up against the
01:38number one scoring defense in the league. It's this feels a lot like in a lot of respects. It's like
01:43the Titans game was last year. You look at the units and the only of the four main units,
01:49the offenses and the defenses of both teams. The only one that you can feel really good about
01:53is the Texans defense. Even the Ravens offense, this is where you have to leave the paper behind.
02:02The Ravens have been, they still are, I think, the third scoring offense in the NFL.
02:08Lamar Jackson was still the highest QBR in the NFL or still is right now. Yet, there was something
02:18that just, despite the fact that they'd scored a boatload of points in their first three games,
02:23the, the, they just weren't firing on all cylinders the way you really expect out of a Ravens offense.
02:30And it's almost, if I had to make an analogy, it's kind of like if, um, if you give a guy who's a
02:36really good marksman an M16 and tell him to hit a target, he's got to be able to hit the target as
02:42long as he just presses the, that, you know, just holds the trigger down and spray bullets all over
02:47the place, but he can still be off his game a little bit. Like Lamar Jackson is an M16 and you're,
02:53you're going to hit the target, but you can be more precise. And he just hasn't looked like the,
02:58he hasn't looked like the sniper rifle version of Lamar Jackson. Both like when you tie everything
03:04in together, all with the running and the passing, and he's taken sacks against the blitz that he
03:08typically wouldn't normally take. Um, the chiefs in that game did some things to flummox him before
03:14he got injured. So I, I get what they're talking about. And now if you've gotten a Lamar Jackson,
03:19I don't think Cooper rushes, the guy that comes in and all of a sudden makes the offensive line
03:23play better than they have. Cause the Ravens offensive line has not been playing as, as well
03:27as they did last year. No, no. I mean, this is a, this is a major, major development for the Texans.
03:33Before we dig into this a little further, here was, here was John Harbaugh earlier this week
03:38in his media availability. This audio, Seth got some Texan fans that I saw upset who I think are
03:46reading into some of the things that Harbaugh is saying a little deeply here. Um, I'll,
03:51I'll let you take a listen and you tell Texan fans to feel disrespected over what John Harbaugh says
03:57right here. The, uh, Texas game on Sunday be at home and, uh, we're going to look at all the
04:03things we need to do to be the best we can be in that game. And there's a lot of factors,
04:07a lot of things we're dealing with for sure. Uh, like a lot of teams are, I'm sure. Uh,
04:12but that'll be our opportunity to get, to get going and get our momentum going a little bit.
04:16And that's a really good team. I just been watching them on tape. The Texans defense is
04:20playing at a high, high level, very aggressive, very fast, very well coached, a lot of good players,
04:26a lot of good pass rushers, good coverage guys, uh, playing good football. Then offensively,
04:31obviously young quarterback, uh, working to find their way in a little bit, running the ball,
04:36good backs, uh, trying to play complimentary football with their defense. So that's what
04:42we're looking at right now. Okay. Wait a second. All right. I, cause I had listened to that before.
04:46Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. I guess what's okay. The disrespectful part that people are perceiving,
04:52I'm guessing the, the young quarterback part lay it. Uh, it's, it's pretty early in it. So we can,
04:56we can replay this Ben and I will stop you after the part that is construed as disrespect.
05:02Let me guess one more time. Yeah. Just the, the part where he says that we've been, uh,
05:08we I've been watching film on them. No, I don't know. Like, is it like, uh,
05:11yeah, I'll take a look at these kids. Okay. We'll play one more time. It's pretty early on. Here we go.
05:15Uh, Texas game on Sunday, be at home. And, uh, we're going to look at all the things we need
05:21to do to be the best we can be in that game. And there's a lot of factors, a lot of things
05:25we're dealing with for sure. Uh, like a lot of teams are, I'm sure. Uh, but that'll be our opportunity
05:30to get, to get going a little bit. It's a really good team. I just been watching right there.

06:06enough as I like I used to be I know the best part about you the best part about that if you're
06:12watching on the YouTube was you re-listening to it and you had this thing going on where you're
06:16looking around like a dog who couldn't find where the tennis ball I'm looking for the threat yeah
06:19I'm trying to figure out what's going on here where's the tennis ball where did he throw that
06:23tennis ball yeah the thing about Harbaugh is that the where he's taking heat four up in Baltimore
06:29is I guess he's been just throwing Todd Munkin under the bus every every chance he gets the
06:34offensive coordinator for the Ravens third scoring right I know I know I know I know they're going
06:39up again they're going up again to me go couldn't be nicer to Nick Caley and he's last in scoring
06:45that's what I think I think and then at the same time he's been really really gentle with the defense
06:51and I think this is a classical scene there before the old Bear Bryant you know when everybody else
06:56wants to hug him kick him when everybody else wants to kick him you give him a hug but I think the
07:00offense I think the offense can kind of handle or at least with Lamar Jackson available they have
07:07been the good one I think the the defense he realizes oh crap we're we got a boatload of trouble
07:12we're out some of these guys he's doing a reverse D'Amico is what he's doing you know how Texan fans
07:18will say why is D'Amico being so uh nice to the offense when they're not very good and he blames the
07:25defense sometimes you know that's so it's he's doing so you're saying Harbaugh's doing the same
07:30thing but it's the offense he's doing that with I can tell people were kind of sensitive because I
07:34just uh I posted a picture from that awesome game in 2005 when Ryan Fitzpatrick entered uh
07:40just a picture of his Patrick's face when we had a when we had a 14 nothing lead and Ryan Fitzpatrick
07:46ended up um as a rookie who had never played in the NFL before let a really impressive comeback versus
07:53the Texans as I just said something like yeah I remember the last time that I remember a time
07:57the Texans caught a break yeah with uh with a backup quarterback you were there and uh man people were
08:02so quick to point out um uh excuse me Ryan Fitzpatrick ended up being a good quarterback
08:07whereas Cooper Rush is not everybody settle the hell down trying to have a little fun here on a Tuesday
08:13you know I was just uh that's all we don't have to take we don't have to turn this into a federal
08:18case I saw that it was on Twitter if you've come to Twitter for fun you've come to the wrong place
08:22I could have brought up Jacoby Brissett I could have brought up the Matt Hasselbeck deathbed game
08:29where remember he he basically had to play a game in diapers because he had extreme stomach distress
08:34uh Blaine Gabbard in week two of 2018 remember Mariota was hurt and oh it's Vrabel's a new head coach
08:41and they're the Titans are trash and then the Texans go in there and they walk out oh and two yeah
08:45Derek Henry was in that game he was he was yeah he was in that game but didn't he took a couple
08:50wildcat snaps in that game did he?
08:52he probably did I want to say after that uh after that punt uh fake punt the fake punt yeah I want
08:59to say that that same series and he did do some wildcat making the wildcat no you're right he did
09:03line yeah he lined up um so no like you gotta keep your head on a swivel my friend yeah and uh yeah I
09:09think that's I don't read anything into what Harbaugh was saying there other than that like yeah any
09:13game is an opportunity you gotta you gotta get it going you're you're one in three and you're then the
09:18Ravens one in three is different than the Texans one in three the same way the Texans oh and three
09:24was different than the Titans oh and three correct uh they are the Ravens are in a rough rough spot
09:29right now whereas the Texans you've got a little bit of a glimmer of hope and you're facing that you
09:34know after starting off on three it was still a kick in the junk that you started off only three
09:38nobody expected that yeah but it at least you showed that you can produce versus a bad defense
09:44um the Ravens are the Ravens are just dealing with so many injuries right now it is it is
09:50undeniably a massive break for the Texans that has essentially made this game a coin flip you know
09:56what I mean it's not a massive break that's handed you the game it's a massive break that has turned
10:01this into an opportunity that will probably not look like the last three times you played the Raven
10:05Ravens where they've outscored you by a combined total of 69 points right and just to say whatever
10:10you want about Cooper Rush it's a backup quarterback in the NFL and backup quarterbacks being really
10:15really genuinely good football teams all the time in the NFL yep uh so yeah there's not a there's not
10:21a single part of me that thinks like oh yeah well Cooper Rush he's trash yeah I don't think Cooper
10:25Rush is gonna have a good game if you watch the Texans offense like yeah is that the greatest show
10:31on turf right now is this game 17 to 14 there's no question about that so head on a swivel is a good
10:38way to
