00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Lord be with you.
00:21Today, dear friends, we celebrate the feast day of the Holy Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael.
00:27We continue to give thanks to God for the protection, and the healing, and also the encouragement that we continue to receive from God through the help of the Holy Angels.
00:38We also pray for continued protection for ourselves and our families, those we love and those we care.
00:45And also to ask for the great gift of peace throughout the whole world.
00:48Seeing that it was, of course, you know, one of the main songs of the angels in the scriptures is that of peace on earth upon the birth of our Lord.
00:58Dear brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
01:03You were sent to heal the contrite of heart, Lord, have mercy.
01:10You came to call sinners, Christ, have mercy.
01:14You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us, Lord, have mercy.
01:20May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
01:26Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of goodwill.
01:31We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory.
01:39Lord God, Heavenly King, O God, Almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father.
01:49You take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
01:53You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
01:57You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
02:01For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father.
02:11Amen.
02:12Dear friends, we pause for a few moments to give you an opportunity to offer your own intentions into the hands of God.
02:19And of course, as usual, feel free to put your intentions in our comment section so we can pray with you.
02:31Let us pray.
02:32O God who disposes in marvelous order ministries both angelic and human, graciously grant that our life on earth may be defended by those who watch over us as they minister perpetually to you in heaven.
02:47Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
02:56Amen.
02:57A reading from the prophet Daniel.
03:00As I watched, thrones were set in place, and one of great age took his seat.
03:07His robe was white as snow, the hair of his head as pure as wool.
03:12His throne was a blaze of flames, its wheels were a burning fire.
03:16A stream of fire poured out, issuing from his presence.
03:21A thousand thousand waited on him, ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
03:28A court was held, and the books were opened.
03:31I gazed into the visions of the night, and I saw coming on the clouds of heaven, one like a son of man.
03:39He came to the one of great age, and was led into his presence.
03:44On him was conferred sovereignty, glory, and kingship.
03:48And men of all peoples, nations, and languages became his servants.
03:53His sovereignty is an everlasting sovereignty, which shall never pass away, nor will his empire ever be destroyed.
04:02The word of the Lord.
04:07In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:11In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:15I thank you, Lord, with all my heart.
04:17You have heard the words of my mouth.
04:19In the presence of the angels, I will bless you.
04:22I will adore before your holy temple.
04:25In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:29I thank you for your faithfulness and love, which excel all we ever knew of you.
04:35On the day I called, you answered.
04:37You increased the strength of my soul.
04:40In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:44All the earth's kings shall thank you when they hear the words of your mouth.
04:49They shall sing of the Lord's ways.
04:51How great is the glory of the Lord.
04:54In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:58Alleluia, alleluia.
05:02Bless the Lord, all you his angels, his ministers who do his will.
05:08Alleluia.
05:09The Lord be with you.
05:12A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.
05:15When Jesus saw Nathanael coming, he said of him,
05:22There is an Israelite who deserves the name, incapable of deceit.
05:28How do you know me?
05:29Said Nathanael.
05:31Before Philip came to call you, said Jesus, I saw you under the fig tree.
05:37Nathanael answered, Rabbi, you are the son of God.
05:41You are the king of Israel.
05:42Jesus replied, You believe that just because I said, I saw you under the fig tree.
05:50You will see greater things than that.
05:53And then he added, I tell you most solemnly,
05:56You will see heaven laid open and above the son of man,
06:02The angels of God ascending and descending.
06:05The gospel of the Lord.
06:38Pray brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
07:08Amen.
07:38It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God, and to praise you without end in your archangels and angels.
07:54For the honor we pay the angelic creatures in whom you delight, redounds to your own surpassing glory, and by their great dignity and splendor, you show how infinitely great you are to be exalted above all things through Christ our Lord.
08:09Through him the multitude of angels extols your majesty, and we are united with them in exultant adoration, as in one voice of praise we acclaim.
08:20Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:27Hosanna in the highest.
08:29Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:32Hosanna in the highest.
08:39You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
08:43Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewful, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:53At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:05Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
09:23In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:43Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:52which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
09:57Do this in memory of me.
10:13The mystery of faith.
10:28We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection until you come again.
10:35Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:42giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:48Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:56Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity,
11:02together with Leo, our Pope, and Charles, our Bishop, and all the clergy.
11:07Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
11:12and all who have died in your mercy.
11:15Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:18Have mercy on us all.
11:19We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:24with the blessed apostles and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:30we may marry to be co-heirs to eternal life and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:36Through him and with him and in him, O God Almighty, Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:44all glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen.
11:49At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
11:56Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
12:00Thy kingdom come.
12:02Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
12:05Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
12:10as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
12:17Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously, grant peace in our days,
12:23that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
12:29as we await the blessed hope in the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
12:37Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
12:40Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
12:42Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church,
12:45and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will,
12:50who live and reign forever and ever.
12:53The peace of the Lord be with you always.
12:57Let's offer each other the sign of peace.
12:59Peace be with you.
12:59Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
13:21Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
13:26Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
13:31Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world,
13:48blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
13:51Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
13:56but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
13:59My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
14:06I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:10Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:14come at least spiritually into my heart.
14:16I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:18and unite myself wholly to you.
14:22Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:24Let us pray.
14:29Having been nourished with heavenly bread, we beseech you humbly, O Lord,
14:33that drawing from it new strength, under the faithful protection of your angels,
14:38we may advance boldly along the way of salvation,
14:42through Christ our Lord.
14:44Amen.
14:44Friends, thank you again for your prayerful company today across the internet,
