00:00In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins, we acknowledge the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:25Loving God, you are with us in our struggles and challenges. Lord, have mercy.
00:32You are with us in our joys and celebrations. Christ, have mercy.
00:36And you turn all things to good for us. Lord, have mercy.
00:41May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:48Let us pray.
00:50O God, who founded all the commandments of your sacred law upon love of you and our neighbor,
00:56granted by keeping your precepts, we may merit to attain eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
01:04who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
01:09Amen.
01:09A reading from the Prophet Haggai
01:21In the second year of King Darius, on the twenty-first day of the seventh month,
01:29the word of the Lord was addressed through the Prophet Haggai as follows.
01:34You are to speak to Zerubbabel, son of Shaltheo, the High Commissioner of Judah,
01:41to Joshua, son of Zehozadak, the High Priest, and to all the remnant of the people.
01:48Say this.
01:50Who is there left among you that saw this temple in its former glory?
01:54And how does it look to you now?
01:57Does it seem nothing to you?
01:59But take courage now, dear Babel, it is the Lord who speaks.
02:05Courage, High Priest Joshua, son of Zehozadak.
02:09Courage, all you people of the country, it is the Lord who speaks.
02:15Do work, I am with you.
02:18It is the Lord of hosts who speaks.
02:21And my spirit remains among you.
02:23Do not be afraid, for the Lord of hosts says this.
02:27A little while now, and I am going to shake the heavens and the earth,
02:32the sea and the dry land.
02:34I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations shall flow in,
02:39and I will fill this temple with glory, says the Lord of hosts.
02:44Mine is the silver, mine is the gold.
02:47It is the Lord of hosts who speaks.
02:49The new glory of this temple is going to surpass the old, says the Lord of hosts.
02:54And in this place I will give peace.
02:56It is the Lord of hosts who speaks.
02:59The word of the Lord.
03:04Thanks be to God.
03:07Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
03:12Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
03:16Defend me, O God, and plead my cause against a godless nation from deceitful and cunning men.
03:22Rescue me, O God.
03:24Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
03:30Since you, O God, are my stronghold, why have you rejected me?
03:34Why do I go mourning, oppressed by the foe?
03:38Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
03:43For send forth your light and your truth.
03:46Let these be my guides.
03:48Let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
03:52Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
03:58And I will come to the altar of God, the God of my joy.
04:01My Redeemer, I will thank you on the harp.
04:04O God, my God.
04:06Hope in God, I will praise Him, my Saviour and my God.
04:11Hallelujah, hallelujah.
04:13The Son of Man came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for all.
04:18Hallelujah.
04:19Hallelujah.
04:22The Lord be with you.
04:29And with your spirit.
04:30A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
04:34Glory to you, O Lord.
04:36One day, when Jesus was praying alone in the presence of His disciples,
04:41He put this question to them,
04:44Who do the crowds say I am?
04:46And they answered, John the Baptist, others Elijah, others say one of the ancient prophets come back to life.
04:55But you, He said, who do you say I am?
04:59It was Peter who spoke up, the Christ of God, He said.
05:05But He gave them strict orders not to tell anyone anything about this.
05:09The Son of Man, He said, is destined to suffer grievously, to be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be put to death, and to be raised up on the third day.
05:23The gospel of the Lord.
05:29Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
05:31You are the Christ, the Anointed One of God.
05:38And then He tells them He is going to suffer and die and reject it by the whole establishment.
05:43It appears like an anticlimax.
05:47And yet it's true this, that He will bring salvation by confronting, facing the challenges, the serious challenges of life.
05:57By confronting them, He actually grows Himself into resurrection, moves into resurrection.
06:04So the reminder for us, in our own journey, when we face our own challenges, that the risen Christ, our God incarnate, is with us.
06:15And not to be crushed or dismayed by the challenges that we have to face.
06:26Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given, human hands have made.
06:33Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands,
07:03it will become a spiritual drink.
07:05Blessed be God forever.
07:15Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Almighty Father.
07:23May the Lord sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of God's name, for our good and good of all God's Holy Church.
07:31Receive with favour, O Lord, we pray, the offerings of your people, that what they profess with devotion and faith, may be theirs through their heavenly mysteries.
07:39Through Christ our Lord.
07:41Amen.
07:44The Lord be with you.
07:46And with your spirit.
07:48Lift up your hearts.
07:49Lift them up to the Lord.
07:50Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:52It is right and just.
07:53It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Father most holy, to your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your word, through whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
08:13Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people, he stretched out his hands as he endured his passion, so as to break the bonds of death and manifest the resurrection.
08:24And so, with the angels and all the saints, we declare your glory, as with one voice, we acclaim,
08:31Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:38Hosanna in the highest.
08:40Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:44Hosanna in the highest.
08:46You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
08:51Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the youthful, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:01At the time he was betrayed, and ended willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:12Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
09:19In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:33Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:42which will be pulled out for you, and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.
09:48Do this in memory of me.
09:56The mystery of faith.
09:59When we eat this bread, and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
10:07Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
10:12we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:16giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:22Humbly we pray, that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:26we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:30Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world,
10:33and bring her to the fullness of charity.
10:36Together with Leo Alpo, me, your unworthy servant, and all the clergy,
10:42remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
10:49and all who have died in your mercy.
10:54Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:56Have mercy on us all, we pray,
11:01that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:05with the blessed apostles,
11:07and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:11we may, through your grace, merit, to be coerced to eternal life,
11:15and may praise and glorify you,
11:18through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:20Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, almighty Father,
11:27in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:29all glory and honor is yours forever and ever.
11:33Amen.
11:35At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching,
11:38we dare to say,
11:38Our Father, who art in heaven,
11:42hallowed be thy name.
11:44Thy kingdom come,
11:45thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11:49Give us this day our daily bread,
11:52and forgive us our trespasses,
11:55as we forgive those who trespass against us.
11:59And lead us not into temptation,
12:01but deliver us from evil.
12:03Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
12:05Lord, graciously grant peace in our days,
12:09that by the help of your mercy,
12:11we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
12:14as we await the blessed hope
12:16and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
12:19For the kingdom, the power, and the glory
12:21are yours now and forever.
12:23Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
12:26Peace I leave you,
12:27my peace I give you.
12:29Look not on our sins,
12:30but on the faith of your church,
12:33and graciously grant her peace and unity
12:35in accordance with your will.
12:37For live and reign forever and ever.
12:39Amen.
12:40The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
12:42And with your spirit.
12:43Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:48Lamb of God.
12:49If you take away the sins of the world,
12:51have mercy on us.
12:52Lamb of God.
12:53If you take away the sins of the world,
12:55have mercy on us.
12:57Lamb of God.
12:58If you take away the sins of the world,
13:00grant us peace.
13:05Behold the Lamb of God,
13:11who takes away the sins of the world,
13:13happy at those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
13:16Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
13:20but only say the word,
13:22and my soul shall be healed.
13:24My Jesus,
13:25I believe that you are present
13:27in the most blessed sacrament.
13:28I love you above all things,
13:31and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:34Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
13:37come at least spiritually into my heart.
13:40I embrace you as if you were already there,
13:42and unite myself wholly to you.
13:45Never permit me to be separated from you.
13:48Amen.
13:50Let us pray.
13:52Graciously raise up, O Lord,
13:57those who renew with this sacrament,
13:59that we may come to possess your redemption,
14:02both in mystery and in the manner of our life.
14:04Through Christ our Lord.
14:06Amen.
14:06The Lord be with you.
14:07And with your spirit.
14:09And may the peace and the blessing of the Father,
