00:00I was at the Rutgers game last week, and it was just crazy.

00:09When was the last time Iowa won a game because of the offense, right?
00:13Oh, my gosh.
00:14They scored 38 points.
00:16But, you know, I think a lot of that might have been Rutgers
00:20because they really might have the worst defense
00:22or among the worst defenses in the Big Ten.
00:24So I don't know if we want to, you know, give Iowa too much credit.
00:28But still, we've seen them play bad defenses before
00:31and not be able to score points.
00:33I mean, the last couple of years, it's been zero offense at all for them.
00:37In fact, last year they did improve the run game,
00:40still got nothing from the passing attack.
00:41And we thought we'd see a little jump with Gronowski,
00:44the winningest quarterback in FCS history coming up.
00:47But, yeah, it looks like it's more from the run game, really.
00:49I mean, he himself added something with his legs.
00:52He scored a couple of touchdowns.
00:53But it's special teams.
00:55It's timely turnovers.
00:56Rutgers, it's like it's just some kind of Iowa magic.
00:59They always come up with a turnover when it matters most.
01:01And that happened again in the Rutgers game, about five minutes left.

01:06Otherwise, it was a really, really strong effort by Kelly McManus.

01:11It looked like a pretty rowdy atmosphere for Rutgers Friday night.
01:15The Jersey Shore guys were down there.

01:19Yeah, I'm based in Pennsylvania, southeastern PA.
01:22So I try and get up to a couple of Rutgers games.
01:23And, yeah, I think they've really improved their stadium atmosphere.
01:26And they got that boardwalk thing in the pregame.
01:29So, yeah, I mean, I'm excited for Rutgers.
01:31I think they're going to be a tough out offensively going forward.
01:34But more like kind of a bowl team, fringe bowl team, not so much a contender this year.
01:39Yeah, brutal schedule, too.
01:41A lot of Bruce, a lot of Bon Jovi.
01:44I appreciate the, I appreciate the, I'm a New Yorker, but I appreciate them leaning into the Jersey.
01:48But it did, the atmosphere was unbelievable.
01:51That was the most, most Big Ten they've ever felt.
01:54You know, it didn't feel like, come on, guys, you got to step it up.
01:58You're in the Big Ten now, which at times you've gotten that feeling with them.
02:02But they really felt like they're at the level of a Big Ten program.

02:09Because can't play defense, struggling running the football, but they can throw it.

02:20They set a school record here with consecutive 30-plus point games.
02:24I think dating back to last year's finish, then the start this year, it broke a school record.
02:28Yeah, KJ Doff, Sheffield, they got, they got targets, that receiver.
02:32And Caliak Maness, to his credit, is putting it on him.
02:35So, yeah, I'm excited to see them continue to grow.
02:37But, yeah, and that does raise concern for Iowa's defense.
02:41I know we're saying it's a good passing offense with Rutgers, but they're going to continue to face.
02:45I mean, look at Iowa's schedule, too.
02:47I mean, there are no breaks in this thing, and they're going to have to improve on defense.
