02:01All right, viewers, let's quickly get you up to speed with the latest news break that is coming in.
02:21Top sources say discussion of NDA parties will take place in the first week of October
02:26on seat-sharing arrangements where it comes down to Bihar.
02:29As we speak, viewers, there's a two-day meet of the NDA that is taking place in Bihar
02:34alongside the CWC that has taken place after many decades of the Congress Working Committee meeting
02:40in the state of Bihar as well.
02:42But all eyes on the NDA.
02:44There is much that has been discussed in terms of what will be the seat-sharing arrangement.
02:50Each ally of the NDA unit where it comes down to Bihar
02:54asking, demanding for the proverbial pound of flesh when it comes down to their seat-share.
03:00We've been given to understand the first week of October is when discussions will take place.
03:05The meeting will happen in Delhi.
03:07So all players where the NDA in Bihar is concerned will be in the national capital
03:12discussing the way ahead when it comes down to seat-sharing.
03:16As of now, no discussion on seat-sharing for Bihar Assembly polls has taken place.
03:32All right, viewers, let's quickly cut across now to the latest developments
03:35coming in from the state of Bihar.
03:38You have at one end the CWC, the Congress Working Committee, meeting in Bihar.
03:45The NDA has turned around and said this is all because the Congress is trying to muscle-flex,
03:50primarily wanting more number of seats in their alliance where the Mahagat Bandhan is Bihar is concerned.
03:58The Congress has turned around and said don't be scared.
04:00This is how it all played out.
04:0185 years later, Congress is back in Bihar with a Working Committee meeting.
04:12The grand old party hopes to right the success of recently concluded Vot Chori Yatra along with its allies,
04:20especially RJD.
04:22India Alliance tries to chip in the NDA unity by targeting the current Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar.
04:29Setting the tone for the Bihar poll campaign, Congress President Malik Arjun Khadge on Wednesday said,
04:36the BJP has mentally retired Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, and considers him to be a liability.
04:42The extended Congress Working Committee meeting in poll-bound Bihar is focused on SIR irregularities.
05:11Along with election transparency and independence of election commission.
05:41BJP, on the other hand, is holding today's meeting with district-level leaders to finalize a potential candidates list for the coming Assembly election.
05:52NDA leaders, meanwhile, took a dig at Congress for deciding to return to Bihar after more than eight decades,
06:00calling it a futile attempt to claim any position in the coming Bihar Assembly election.
06:04The dates for election are yet to be announced, but battle lines in Bihar are drawn
06:34and have already taken their war positions in the battleground.
06:38With more Sami Singh in Patna, Bureau Report, India Today.
06:41All right, the battleground of Bihar, wide open.
06:48What to expect?
06:49The Congress's CWC has culminated this evening.
06:53And after many, many years taking place in Bihar,
06:57the NDA practically suggesting all an attempt to muscle flex, all not well,
07:01where the Mahagat Bandhan is concerned.
07:03On the other hand, the NDA also holding a two-day meet.
07:06But word coming in, where the NDA is concerned,
07:08the first week of October is going to be crucial because Delhi will decide the seat-sharing arrangement.
07:14Meanwhile, let's cut across to our panelists this evening.
07:16Joining me, Dr. Manisha Priam, political analyst,
07:19knows a thing more or two than most of us when it comes down to the state of Bihar.
07:23Professor Nawal Kishore, spokesperson RJD.
07:26Rajiv Ranjanji, national spokesperson JDU.
07:29Dr. Saeed Zafar Islam, national spokesperson, political and economic affairs BJP.
07:34Dr. Pooja Tripathi, spokesperson, Congress.
07:37Dr. Manisha Priam, lots of doctors today on the panel.
07:40But Dr. Manisha Priam, let's begin with you.
07:44Quick assessment, Dr. Priam.
07:46At one end, the CWC of the Congress taking place,
07:49a two-day meeting parallel of NDA.
07:52In the midst of it all, Dr. Manisha Priam is Prashant Kishore,
07:56who's come up with his own chitta saying that you have usurped land,
08:00which is, of course, the NDA leaders.
08:02So you can clearly see that, you know, the battle lines are clearly aligned.
08:07It's a battle between the Mahagat Bandhan,
08:10led this time by the Congress Party, ideologically at least.
08:15And on the other side, the NDA, led by the BJP very clearly.
08:19And you have a startup, really, in Prashant Kishore's,
08:23what should I call it, the munch.
08:25Not a political party as yet.
08:27He had to test political waters.
08:29And remember, he's a past master,
08:33having fought so many elections since 2014.
08:36His is now more than a decade-long engagement
08:39with the new format of politicizing
08:45in the social media era.
08:49And he knows how to play it well.
08:52His early degree and the Lalu Raj.
08:55Then suddenly you find that he's now switched gears
08:59because the early issues he was raising with the people,
09:03Padai, Likhai, Dawai,
09:05they were being raised by the Jan Adhikar Yatra
09:08that was led by the Congress Party and the RJD.
09:11So then he now switches gears.
09:13And now you see him frontally attack
09:15the state-level leaders of the BJP and the JDU.
09:20As yet, the top brass of the BJP in the center in Delhi,
09:24not the target of attack of Prashant Kishore.
09:27So clearly, political battle lines arraigned
09:29between two Ghatbandhans and one startup
09:32in the era of the social media.
09:34As far as the Mahagatbandhan is concerned,
09:37I think huge historic picture-making
09:40with lots of centuries behind them,
09:44the Congress Party.
09:45But I wonder whether they've been able to put up
09:47the pictures of all their chief ministers.
09:49The second or third last one, Jagannath Mishra,
09:53a dabbling candidate having been accused
09:55in the Fodder Scam case,
09:57was a Congress Party chief minister.
09:59His son is now with the BJP.
10:01So whether the Congress can claim
10:02the legacy of the entire history,
10:04that's to be seen,
10:05but a very brave step.
10:07This is an undoing of the Sitaran case.
10:09Your two-minute timer is up.
10:11I just want to remind all our panelists
10:12that each of our panelists,
10:14so they get uninterrupted time,
10:16get a two-minute timer on them.
10:18They can put their points ahead,
10:19and then we'll come and circle back to them.
10:21I want to bring in right now
10:22the Congress spokesperson,
10:24because the Congress had its CWC
10:26in the state of Bihar
10:27after many decades, Dr. Tripathi.
10:29And today was a day where,
10:31of course, at one end,
10:33the charge is that Congress only remembers
10:35a state for a CWC if an election is in order.
10:37But that aside,
10:38the charge is that you want to muscle flex
10:40in Patna, in Bihar,
10:43where Mahagadbandhan is concerned,
10:45so you can get,
10:46or at least maneuver to get more seats.
10:48So I think this is all media-created.
10:51Can I take a second and tell?
10:53I really love the gharita on Dr. Priyam.
10:56She had a very strong voice.
10:58But, you know,
10:5985 years later,
11:00after the Ramgari ICC session,
11:03where the theory of constitutional body
11:06was created,
11:07and Gandhiji,
11:08Baba-sabh,
11:09Ambedkarji,
11:10Patilhenu,
11:10everyone came up to the idea
11:12of one person,
11:13one vote.
11:13It's not a muscle flex to claim,
11:16you know,
11:16it's Mahagadbandhan is in a very strong position.
11:18Compared to NDA,
11:20where Nitish Kumar is every day
11:21losing his sleepover,
11:22he may not be a Egnash Inde too.
11:25LJP has given,
11:26Chirag Paswan has given a forthright warning,
11:28that if we don't have a seat,
11:30then we will think about it.
11:33The way that Mahanji and Chirag Paswan
11:34have dogfights every day in the open.
11:37But Mahagadbandhan is in a very safe seat,
11:40the seat sharing will be discussed.
11:42And what CWC today was historic,
11:44because post-independence,
11:45we were meeting for the first time
11:46in the same Sadakat Ashram,
11:48that has seen the whole freedom struggle
11:50in its own glory
11:51and in its own,
11:52you know,
11:53in its own heights,
11:54I'll say.
11:55And that's where we passed resolution
11:56against everything
11:57that's impacting the people of Bihar,
12:00people of India in particular,
12:02the onslaught of GST,
12:04unimaginable rates of GST.
12:05And now when they should apologize
12:07for derailing the economy,
12:09destroying MSMEs
12:10and loss of livelihood and jobs,
12:11they're actually asking you
12:12to do thank you Mohdiji
12:13and do a Bachar Tutsa,
12:15the way their job,
12:16people are being thrashed,
12:17the youth is being thrashed
12:19outside the BJP office in Patna
12:21and at the streets of Uttarakhand
12:22to Uttarakhand for the paper leaks
12:24and here for the jobs.
12:25And that's how,
12:26that's how the youth
12:27is being treated in the country.
12:29They're looking at a foreign policy
12:31which is in doldrums.
12:32Thank you, Narendra.
12:33A message trumps over the
12:35almost murderous tariff charges
12:38and H-1B visa changes
12:39and our tilt to China
12:41is how they're doing it.
12:43We have no clue.
12:44And sir, exercise
12:45and then again,
12:46today we also launched
12:48the Sankal Nayar Patr
12:49for the Ateep.
12:50Dr. Patry, your time is up.
12:51I want to bring in
12:52Dr. Zafir Islam.
12:53Like I said,
12:54many doctors there,
12:55always welcome to have them.
12:56But Dr. Islam,
12:57to bring you in on this,
12:58you might say that
12:59the Congress is trying
13:00to muscle flex
13:01to try and maneuver,
13:02manipulate on more seats.
13:03You have your own partner
13:04which is Chirag Paswan
13:06who's actually challenged
13:08the Congress to go it alone.
13:09But the larger question is,
13:11when it comes down
13:12to seat sharing,
13:13it's not a conundrum
13:14that just lies
13:14with the Mahagat Bandhan.
13:16Your own alliance
13:17is torn
13:18when it comes to
13:19the number of seats.
13:20You have a Chirag Paswan
13:22who's bargaining
13:23for an X number.
13:24You have a JDU
13:25and then you also need
13:26to keep your own lot
13:27and in the midst of it
13:28are smaller players.
13:29Well, let me first tell you
13:36very candidly
13:37that when you call it
13:39Mahagat Bandhan,
13:40after a few days,
13:41you will have to call it
13:41Mahalat Bandhan.
13:43Because the infighting
13:45between this Mahagat Bandhan
13:47partners,
13:48Congress party
13:49and particularly RJD
13:50is something
13:51is now out in public.
13:54The Congress party
13:56wants more than 70 seats.
13:58Last time they fought
13:59on 70 seats.
14:00They want more than 70 seats
14:01and claiming that
14:03Padhyatra and Sadhyatra
14:04they have done
14:05and they become entitled.
14:07They are now entitled
14:08for more seats
14:09than what they have
14:10fought last time.
14:11And Tejasvi Adho,
14:12he knows very well
14:13that Congress
14:13is a liability.
14:15They are trying to
14:16piggy bank
14:18on his shoulder
14:18or his back.
14:19So he very wisely
14:21has said that
14:21we will give you
14:2225 to 30 seats
14:24and that is something
14:25which is becoming
14:26bone of contention
14:27between the two
14:28Mahat Bandhan parties
14:31and you will see
14:32that this fight
14:33will be on the street
14:34between the two
14:35alliance partners
14:36sooner than later.
14:38Because Congress
14:39party says that
14:40Rahul Gandhi
14:41is a leader
14:43which everyone
14:45understands.
14:45But fact is
14:46Tejasvi knows
14:47that no one
14:48understands
14:48and no one
14:49is able to relate
14:49with Rahul Gandhi
14:50because he has
14:52been given notes
14:52and notes
14:54I don't know
14:54who prepares the note
14:55but when he speaks
14:56to the people
14:56everyone knows
14:57that he speaks
14:58something which
14:59doesn't make sense
15:00and that's why
15:01his own party
15:02lieutenants
15:03are overly concerned
15:04and they make
15:05this kind of statement
15:06yesterday
15:06Manish Tiwari
15:08made a statement
15:09and very clearly
15:09that his entitlement
15:12is based on
15:13certain reason
15:14that reason
15:15is because
15:15it comes from
15:16the first family
15:16his caliber
15:19his stature
15:21or his contribution
15:23does not
15:24entitle him
15:25to become
15:26even a member
15:27of parliament
15:28or get a ticket
15:29for becoming
15:29member of parliament
15:30that is something
15:31which his own
15:32party lieutenants
15:32are indicating
15:33as far as
15:34NDS is concerned
15:35Dr. Islam
15:35your time is up sir
15:36I'll circle back
15:38to you
15:38you talk about
15:39sir
15:39you talk about
15:40the congress
15:41but if you go
15:41by the strike rate
15:42the congress
15:42his strike rate
15:43really wasn't bad
15:44where the Lok Sabha
15:44elections were concerned
15:45in Bihar
15:46but I'll come back
15:47to you
15:47I want to bring
15:47in our other two
15:48guests
15:48Professor Nawal Kishore
15:50and Rajiv Ranjan
15:51Professor Kishore
15:52all of this
15:54is being viewed
15:55today
15:55the congress
15:56in Patna
15:56that ultimately
15:57it's going to
15:58come down
15:58to the number
15:59of seats
15:59that the congress
16:00might want
16:01it might be
16:02a lot more
16:02than what
16:03you are comfortable
16:04with
16:04and number
16:05two
16:05it's also
16:07Nawal Kishore
16:07have not been
16:10announced
16:10in terms of
16:11the chief
16:11ministerial candidate
16:12because there
16:13has been a push
16:14by the RJD
16:14especially during
16:15the vote chori
16:16yatra of
16:17Rahul Gandhi
16:17and Tejasviji
16:19where multiple
16:20times
16:21you had
16:22Tejasvi Yadav
16:22literally pushing
16:23Rahul Gandhi
16:24to make the
16:25announcement
16:25of him being
16:26as the CM
16:27face
16:27that still
16:27hasn't happened
16:28Pritiji
16:30multiple
16:31time is not
16:32important
16:32what is
16:33important
16:33in politics
16:34is appropriate
16:34time
16:35and on
16:36appropriate
16:36time
16:37it will be
16:38announced
16:38I can tell
16:39you
16:39he is going
16:40to be the
16:41only face
16:41who can be
16:42a chief
16:42ministerial face
16:43and you can
16:44see the reflection
16:45he is chairman
16:46of coordination
16:47committee
16:47he is leader
16:49of opposition
16:49he was deputy
16:50chief minister
16:51in the past
16:51five years
16:52you can see
16:52the record
16:53this is not
16:55hidden
16:55time
16:56it is already
16:57there in the
16:57public domain
16:58what is important
16:59for us
17:00is the change
17:01of government
17:02that is going
17:03to reflect
17:04the change
17:04of the status
17:05of the people
17:06itself
17:06and the people
17:07are looking
17:07to Tejasviji
17:08because they
17:09have seen him
17:10working on the
17:11basis of delivery
17:12in the past
17:1217 months
17:14his tenure
17:15they have seen
17:16that how
17:16the appointment
17:18letter was
17:19delivered in
17:20Gandhi Madan
17:20it was a
17:21historical moment
17:22that five lakhs
17:23people got
17:24this employment
17:25and three
17:26three and a half
17:27lakhs
17:28were brought
17:29to the process
17:30there were so
17:31many things
17:31which can be
17:32said about
17:33the 17 months
17:33but if you
17:34ask them
17:35to explain
17:36what they have
17:37done
17:38in the past
17:3917 months
17:39where India
17:40is there
17:40they will have
17:41to say nothing
17:41it is only
17:43it is only
17:44they are trying
17:45to imitate
17:46whatever
17:47announcement
17:48that we are
17:49making
17:49in terms of
17:50the pension
17:51you've done
17:51in terms of
17:52the women
17:52everything
17:53being taken
17:54and grabbed
17:55by India
17:55at the last
17:56moment
17:56people understand
17:58that what
17:58is the
17:58comparison
17:59that after
18:0020 years
18:00you are
18:01raising pension
18:01from 400
18:02to 11 years
18:031100s
18:04and similar
18:05are the cases
18:06that relates
18:06to youth
18:07commission
18:07and everything
18:08that that
18:09NDA is doing
18:10so what is
18:11what is our
18:12take is that
18:13we are going
18:14to take
18:15Bihar
18:15into a new
18:16phase
18:16of economic
18:17justice
18:17having record
18:19of social
18:21justice
18:21in the past
18:22we are
18:22working for
18:23economic
18:24justice
18:24and we

20:43I think we are having a bit of a
21:13video connect issue with
21:15Dr. Manisha Priyam. The minute we have her, I'm
21:17going to go to her. But final comments
21:18from all our viewers, two minutes each. I want to
21:20begin with Dr. Pooja Tripathi.
21:23Dr. Tripathi, Rajiv Ranjan
21:25there giving a lesson
21:27or two, not just in political
21:28etiquette, but also political
21:31efficiency and efficacy
21:33in terms of
21:35Khadgeji attacking
21:36Nitish Kumar Ji.
21:39It's not just Khadgeji
21:41who's attacking Nitish Kumar. Look at how these
21:43panelists across
21:44your panel, the spectrum of panelists.
21:47There's everybody speaking about
21:49Bihar, but Bharti Janta Party
21:51spokesperson is obsessed about Rahul
21:53Gandhi. It's not an election
21:55for who is more obsessed about
21:56Rahul Gandhi. It's an election for Bihar.
21:59And that's what the whole question is. The Bihar
22:01youth are asking, where are the jobs?
22:03I'll go back to the Sankalma Patra
22:05of Bharti Janta Party in 2020.
22:07When you teach us political efficiency
22:09in antiquity, we don't need, we don't
22:11really need lessons on
22:12Gandhiji, on Bose, on Nehru and
22:14Patel and Baba Sabir.
22:16These are the towering jans on
22:18whose our legions he stands on.
22:20And despite all their
22:22differences, what stands them
22:24apart is, you know, they both
22:26had immense respect for
22:28Mahatma Gandhi in all his
22:29he took a lot of
22:31path, he took a different path, but
22:34every day, every day he had his
22:35utmost respect for Gandhiji
22:37and Nehruji. And that's what
22:39politics was all about.
22:40It was not about bringing your
22:41mother into politics.
22:42My mother is not
22:43in politics.
22:44My mother is not
22:44in politics.
22:45And in politics, there are
22:46issues that are happening.
22:47It was not that thing.
22:49And when we say the youth is
22:50asking, when
22:52Modi Ji said that
22:54where is the sugar mill?
22:56People are asking, when will
22:58the OPD in Darbanga aim start?
23:00When will the 192
23:01bridges that are being
23:02collapsing day in and day off,
23:04when will they be repaired?
23:05One crore self-help groups
23:06were promised in 2020.
23:07Where are they?
23:0917 lakh jobs were promised
23:10in 2020.
23:11BJP, Naya Pat,
23:12Lansakal Pat in 2020.
23:14Where are they?
23:15You know, you just
23:15bringing in things.
23:17And what Gharke Ji said
23:19is there for everyone to
23:21see.
23:21It's not just, it's there
23:22and you are also talking
23:23about.
23:24And that's why you said
23:25Nitiji is losing sleepover.
23:26He may not be turned into
23:28Egnash Inde too.
23:29And that's, and Mahatma
23:30Kathmandan is very solid.
23:31And I would really take
23:33a leaf out of
23:34Professor Nawal Kishore
23:35and I really liked
23:36how Tejaswi work
23:37actually in the round.
23:38Dr. Tupati, your time is up.
23:40I want to bring in
23:40Dr. Manisha Priyam
23:41to encapsulate for us,
23:43Dr. Priyam.
23:44Because right now
23:45where you're standing
23:45at the crossroads,
23:46elections still,
23:48over a month away,
23:49what are the issues
23:50that lie with the
23:51Mahagatbandan
23:52and those for the NDA?
23:54Can you detail that
23:55for our viewers?
23:56I think the first thing
23:57about the NDA right now
23:59is that there is
24:00no Nitish Kumar
24:02at the helm.
24:03For all the elections
24:04I have seen,
24:05it has been
24:06Bihar mein Bahaar hai,
24:08phir se Nitish Kumar hai,
24:09Nitish hai nish hai,
24:11et cetera.
24:12Now here is a silent
24:13chief minister.
24:15And I think the best
24:16cover-up of Bihari politics
24:17has been
24:18that it's a chief minister
24:19who's unwell
24:20at the sunset
24:21of his political career
24:22and very respected.
24:24For me,
24:24I have a lot of praise
24:25for a lot of things done,
24:27especially until 2015.
24:29But I don't know
24:30why political change
24:31has not been possible.
24:33So what is the leadership?
24:34Is the prime minister
24:35going to fight
24:36the election for Bihar?
24:37So the JDU
24:38is particularly leaderless
24:39and any amount
24:41of speculation
24:41as to who rules the JDU,
24:43whether it's the BJP,
24:44B-team
24:45or whatever's happening,
24:46is for the JDU
24:47to tell us.
24:48But I clearly don't understand
24:49what's up there.
24:50Now for Chirag Paswan
24:51to come and make
24:52those statements,
24:53let him turn back
24:54and see how many seats
24:56they are able to fight
24:57on their own.
24:58And I think the issues
25:00of Lutbandhan, etc.,
25:02Jagdeep Chokarji is dead.
25:04Otherwise,
25:04he would have pointed out
25:05to you
25:06that how many of those
25:08are released,
25:10you know,
25:11even those who Nitish
25:12had convicted
25:13with fast-track votes
25:14on the eve of the election,
25:16even our darling NDA
25:18has released a lot of them.
25:20I as a Bihari know
25:21there is a month ahead.
25:23I will not say it today.
25:24But I think everybody
25:25must be thinking,
25:26including former
25:27Home Secretary R.K. Singh
25:28who spilled the beans.
25:30As far as the
25:30Mahagat Bandar is concerned,
25:32I think the real issue is
25:33whether the Congress
25:34will be able to pick up
25:36an organizational strength
25:37or not.
25:38I mean,
25:38the RJD remains
25:40in pole position,
25:41but didn't do so well
25:42in the Lok Sabha elections,
25:44did well in the earlier
25:45Assembly elections.
25:46So one can remain,
25:48you know,
25:49somewhere in between.
25:50The CPIML does very well
25:51on the southern banks
25:52of the Ganges.
25:53They've done very well
25:54in the Lok Sabha elections
25:55and Rahul Gandhi's
25:57Yatra has done well.
25:58He's certainly a part of it.
25:59You know,
26:00we've...
26:02Okay.
26:04Ma'am,
26:04your time is up.
26:05We'll try and give you
26:06a little bit more
26:06after the,
26:07you know,
26:07we have,
26:08if we have time.
26:09But Dr.
26:09Said Zafar Islam,
26:11as elucidated by
26:12Dr. Manisha Priam
26:14as well,
26:14you know,
26:15if there are fault lines
26:16between the Mahagat Bandar
26:17at the cost of repeating myself,
26:19there are enough fault lines
26:20that exist
26:21within the NDA camp
26:22as well.
26:23And one of those
26:24biggest ones
26:25happens to be
26:26the person
26:27who is in charge
26:28of the state of Bihar.
26:30And I'll ask the same question
26:31to Rajiv Ranjanji as well,
26:32which is Nitish Kumar.
26:37Well,
26:38there is absolutely
26:39no fault line
26:39as far as India is concerned
26:41because
26:41it's a very cohesive group.
26:43We understand
26:44what is the responsibility
26:45each party has.
26:47As a group,
26:49what is the responsibility?
26:50Together we have to deliver
26:52and serve the people
26:55of the state.
26:56We are continuously
26:57focusing on people,
27:00their expectation
27:01and our delivery.
27:03And that is something
27:03which has worked for us
27:05in every other state
27:06and in the general election
27:08as well.
27:09So we are not overly concerned
27:10rather we are not concerned
27:12at all about
27:13whether
27:13RJD
27:15and Mahagat Bandar
27:17and partners
27:18they have
27:20undertaken
27:21Yatras
27:22and they are pursuing
27:23X, Y, Z
27:25because we know exactly
27:27that
27:27despite their best effort
27:29they all know that
27:30they are the people
27:31who have actually
27:32misled
27:34the people of Bihar,
27:35mistreated
27:35the people of Bihar
27:36and did nothing
27:37for the people of Bihar.
27:39So
27:39all the
27:40blessing,
27:41the confidence,
27:42the support
27:44actually
27:44peoples of Bihar's
27:46support
27:46is for
27:47the Bharatiya Janda
27:48Party
27:49and NDA partners
27:50and we are
27:51absolutely
27:51confident
27:54that
27:54we will
27:55have
27:56not edge
27:57we will have
27:58massive edge
27:58over
27:59Mahagat Bandar
28:00parties
28:01or group.
28:02As far as
28:03Nitish Kumar is concerned
28:04I mean
28:04his stature
28:05his
28:06approach
28:07his
28:08acceptability
28:09his
28:10vision
28:11everything
28:12has worked
28:12for Bihar
28:13and the people
28:14of Bihar
28:14are extremely
28:15happy
28:15seeing him
28:16as the leader
28:17of the
28:18government
28:20and we are
28:21fighting this
28:22election
28:23under his
28:23leadership
28:24and
28:25from the
28:27state
28:27and the
28:27center
28:28it is the
28:30honorable
28:30prime minister
28:31so together
28:31two

31:57which is the people who talk about anti-incumbency,
32:00who have been with this mandate for this day,
32:02first of all.
32:04And Nitis Kumar ji is a visionary leader,
32:07who has not seen university's position.
32:12Now, the people of the party who say that Nitis Kumar ji copy.
32:17It doesn't matter.
32:19The fact that these flyovers,

32:25So, I want to tell you,

33:24Thank you very much.
33:54Thank you all our guests for joining us on this debate
34:02because it's only going to heat up in times to come
34:04and to the point we'll be covering every aspect, every facet
34:08of this election very closely from the ground and also from the studio.
34:12We're going to ship focus right now to Hong Kong and southern China
34:17which has been hit by one of the most catastrophic typhoons ever.
34:22Typhoon Ragasa has unleashed one of the fiercest storm and winds
34:28where China and Hong Kong is concerned.
34:32Rescue teams are racing against time where entire neighborhoods,
34:36colonies are completely inundated.
34:38Devastating visuals coming in.
34:52The fiercest storm of the year unleashed its wrath on South China and Hong Kong.
35:04Typhoon Ragasa bringing relentless winds, devastating floods and deadly landslides.
35:10As millions face the storm's fury, entire communities have been submerged,
35:16shattered and fighting for survival.
35:20Typhoon Ragasa, the most powerful tropical cyclone of the year,
35:25tore through southern China leaving destruction in its wake.
35:31Hong Kong faced ferocious winds and surging floodwaters that broke hotels
35:37and swept into city streets, forcing emergency shutdowns and widespread evacuations.
35:50A massive landslide ripped open a city street,
35:54swallowing vehicles and creating a dangerous chasm.
35:57While Taiwan's Guangfu township prepared for fresh delusions,
36:04with residents rushing to safety as sirens bled.
36:08Most of the typhoons, when they develop in the western Pacific,
36:13then they move towards the west.
36:16And the typhoon can continue to develop
36:21if it doesn't get impeded by land or by other dry air and so on.
36:26And so this time, Ragasa developed in the western Pacific
36:29and then moved through the Luzon Strait
36:32over very warm waters and under favorable atmospheric conditions.
36:38And so therefore, it gets unimpeded
36:41as it goes through the Luzon Strait
36:43and goes right straight into the South China Sea.
36:45And because of that, it can continue to develop
36:48and therefore became the strongest typhoon this year to hit China.
36:56China's marine authorities issued the highest red wave warning,
37:02forecasting storm surges up to nine feet
37:05in the populous Pearl River Delta.
37:07Authorities are facing against time to protect millions.
37:11Now there's almost no wind.
37:16Mangkut in 2018 was much stronger.
37:18I could feel the difference,
37:19but now I feel like everything is as usual.
37:25Businesses suffered heavy losses
37:27as floodwaters swept through markets and homes.
37:31In Shenzhen, clean-up efforts have begun,
37:34but damage is extensive.
37:35The government told us to evacuate vertically,
37:40just to stay on the second or the third floor
37:42for those of us who were not directly in the path of the water.
37:49Typhoon Ragasa's fury is a stark reminder
37:52of nature's power.
37:54As floodwaters recede and skies begin to clear,
37:58the true cause of Ragasa's destruction
38:00comes into focus.
38:02Homes lost, lives appended,
38:05and a long road to recovery ahead.
38:08But in the face of nature's fury,
38:10resilience shines the brightest.
38:13Bureau Report, India Today.
38:15Keep a keen eye on all developments
38:17coming in from China and Hong Kong viewers.
38:20But that's the end of To The Point,
38:21but I'm going to leave you with a very special interview
38:23that was done by my colleague, Maria Shakil,
38:26with the latest National Award winner,
38:29Vikrant Massey.
38:37After having received National Film Award,
38:41Vikrant, has it sunk in?
38:43Not yet.
38:44Hasn't sunk in yet.
38:45Yeh kal ki hi baat hai.
38:47And here we are chatting about it.
38:50And abhi tak sinkin huwa niya thoda samayir lagega mire khayal se.
38:54A long, a long-awaited dream has been fulfilled.
38:59But as I always say,
39:01that the journey has only just begun now.
39:05Would you say that this is a dual recognition,
39:08first for you personally,
39:10because it's the best actor,
39:12and also for the film, 12th fame?
39:15Yes.
39:17It's a great honor.
39:18I think I've said this before as well,
39:19that winning the National Award,
39:22or even being considered for the National Film Awards,
39:25I think is an achievement in itself.
39:28In such a large country,
39:30we know we speak about the Hindi film industry,
39:33but today the lines have blurred.
39:35We talk about regional cinema as well.
39:37The amount of films we make,
39:39we're making more than 5,000 films in 365 days.
39:42And to be conferred with the best actor award,
39:45and also the best film.
39:47I mean, out of 5,000,
39:48or more than 5,000 films,
39:50to be recognized by the Honorable Government,
39:52I think it's an achievement that everyone dreams of.
39:56Would you say that this is a validation,
39:58but also a responsibility?
40:00Absolutely.
40:01Absolutely.
40:03You know, Binot sir and I were chatting the other day,
40:05in fact,
40:06that it's going to be more challenging
40:10to go out there and represent the common man,
40:13be the voice for the voiceless,
40:15after this recognition.
40:16He's won six National Awards.
40:17My journey's only just begun.
40:19But even,
40:20you know,
40:22sort of the fact that you've been conferred
40:24with the National Film Award,
40:26there is a certain privilege.
40:29There is that pedestal you've been put on
40:31by the people of your country,
40:33and you have to go out there,
40:35represent them,
40:36and there is,
40:37with great power comes great responsibility.
40:40And,
40:41yeah,
40:43so once this sinks in,
40:44once I'm able to sort of,
40:45you know,
40:46go back to ground zero after this,
40:48the idea is to,
40:49is to continue the journey,
40:51is to go out there and represent the common man.
40:53And a 20-year-old boy's dream has come true,
40:57and it's a privilege
40:58that your first National Award
41:01is with an icon.
41:03Those are your words.
41:04Yes.
41:04And you were sitting next to Shah Rukh Khan,
41:06Rani Mukherjee.
41:07And I remember all of you looking at the medal,
41:11and looking at it with great admiration and rightly so.
41:15Yeah,
41:16I mean,
41:16it definitely is an honor to be sharing
41:18the Best Actor Award with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.
41:21He's a once-in-a-lifetime legend.
41:26To be seated next to him,
41:28to be mentioned
41:30in the same breath as him
41:31for the National Film Award this year
41:33was something which
41:35you can only dream of.
41:38And,
41:39while we were seated there,
41:41it was,
41:41it was
41:42our first National Film Award,
41:44even Rani ma'am,
41:45Shah Rukh sir and me.
41:47And the moment we got back,
41:48and Shah Rukh sir was like,
41:49I want to wear this.
41:50And he immediately,
41:52he has that childlike quality within him,
41:54and that's probably what keeps him going
41:56day in, day out.
41:57And all of us
41:58really wanted to touch it and feel it,
42:00and we took it out,
42:01we wore it,
42:02and yeah,
42:03I mean,
42:03it was something we wanted to sort of cherish
42:05there and then at that point in time.
42:07National Film Award,
42:15Vikrant,
42:15has it sunk in?
42:16Winning the National Award
42:18or even being considered
42:19for the National Film Awards,
42:21I think,
42:21is an achievement in itself.
42:23You were sitting next to
42:24Shah Rukh Khan,
42:25Rani Mukherjee.
42:26It definitely is an honor
42:27to be sharing the Best Actor Award
42:29with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.
42:30What happened to
42:33that public statement
42:34that you had put out?
42:36Is there some character
42:37that you're really itching to play?
42:39Vikrant Messi has to prioritize
42:41an offer which has come in
42:43from South India
42:44versus Bollywood,
42:45what will you do?
42:46It's often said that perhaps
42:47South's storytelling ethos
42:50is better than Bollywood.
42:51I disagree.
