Let's head to the Republic Bank CPL where curry chicken prevailed against chicken curry.   This as Trinbago Knight Riders won a record fifth title after beating Guyana Amazon Warriors in a low-scoring thriller at Providence Stadium on Sunday night.   After opting to bat first in what turned out to be a disastrous move, the Amazon Warriors were restricted to 130 for 8, Saurabh Netravalkar taking three wickets, while Kieron Pollard went past 400 catches in T20 cricket.   In reply, TKR reached 133 for 7 from 18 overs, with Guyana captain Imran Tahir taking three scalps in vain.

00:15by close infielder Karen Pollard of Andrew Russell for a duck.

00:19His opening partner Ben McDermott hit a couple sixes out in the middle.

00:47Iftikar Ahmed and Dwayne Pretorius then had a partnership of 43 for the 6th wicket.

00:54Ahmed topscored with 30 while Pretorius chipped in with 25.

01:07In so doing, the Trinidadian took his tally to 401 T20 catches.

01:13In the end, the Amazon Warriors closed on 130 for 8

01:20When TKR responded, Colin Munro and Alex Hales put on 33 for the first wicket

01:27with the southpaw being the aggressor.

01:30Pretorius had Munro caught by keeper Sheho for 23.

01:33Then Pretorius sent Puran for one, making it 39-2.

01:38Darren Bravo's fleeting stay at the crease saw him falling to Imran Tahir for 11.

01:43Sunil Narain then made a valuable 22 with two hits over the ropes.

01:50After Narain was out, Pollard then did some major damage with three hits for the maximum.

01:58Pollard went for 21 and Andrew Russell a golden duck to give Guyana captain Imran Tahir three wickets.

02:04When Alex Hales fell for a patient 26, that was Shamar Joseph's second scalp

02:10as the Amazon Warriors were fighting back.

02:13But Akeel Hossein with some top shots would see them home.

02:18He got the win in style to end on 16 not out.

02:21TKR reached 133 for 7 from 18 overs to win by three wickets.

02:27That was followed by the unbridled celebrations.

02:30Already with the most CPL titles, this was the fifth time TKR lifted the trophy.
