West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd made 17 and took a wicket as Royal Challengers Bangalore finally won their maiden title after 18 seasons.

RCB beat Punjab Kings by six runs in Ahmedabad, with the losing team yet to claim a trophy.

The Bangalore franchise made 190 for 9, with 43 from Virat Kohli.

In reply, Punjab were restricted to 184 for 7, with Shashank Singh scoring 61 not out.
