Rangpur Riders began their title defence in style by beating Guyana Amazon Warriors by eight runs at the Providence Stadium.

The franchise from Bangladesh made 162 for 5 from 20 overs, with Kyle Mayers scoring 44 not out.

In reply, the Amazon Warriors were bowled out for 154 in the final over, with Khaled Ahmed taking four wickets.
