Trinbego Knight Riders won the toss and told Ghana Amazon Warriors to bat first in their
00:04
Republic Bank CPL match in Taruba.
00:07
And it was a poor start with the openers gone cheaply.
00:13
Shea Hope would try to bring some respectability to the innings.
00:22
It soon became 29-3 inside the power play, with Terence Hines sending Mohen Ali back
00:27
to the dugout.
00:28
That's 70-for-5 as Akhil Hussain ended with three wickets to put pressure on the opposition
00:33
and Andrew Russell held on to three catches.
00:36
Hope was out, hit wicket to Hines for 39, giving the bowler his second scalp, 109-7.
00:42
Quentin Samson smashed three sixes in his 25.
00:50
There was plenty of action in the final over, with the Amazon Warriors losing two wickets.
00:55
And then captain Imran Tahir hit the final ball for a maximum, to take his side to 163-9.
01:07
When TKR responded, they got off to a flyer courtesy Colin Munro and Alex Hales.
01:13
The two were in a hurry to get home and were mainly dealing in boundaries.
01:16
They brought up the 100 partnership in just nine overs.
01:23
Their stand was worth 116 in 10.3 overs, which set the foundation for another two points.
01:29
Imran Tahir got rid of Munro for 52 of 30 balls.
01:35
Then he sent captain Nicholas Puran and Casey Carty both for no score in the same over.
01:40
How about a fourth for Tahir later on, as Hales went for 74 of 43 deliveries.
01:47
But Andre Mussel Russell provided the fireworks to see them home.
01:53
He made an unbeaten 27, as TKR reached 169-4 in 17.2 overs to win by six wickets.
02:01
Winner with Nawaani, keep 6-4.
