Maharajganj Murder Shock: Wife, Lover Arrested for Killing Husband and Dumping Body on Road

Maharajganj (UP): Police have arrested Neha Rauniyar of Rajabari village and her lover Jitendra for the murder of Neha’s husband, Nageshwar Rauniyar. The duo strangled him to death and later dumped his body near Damki Gas Agency in Nichlaul.

According to SP Somendra Meena, Nageshwar’s body was found on September 13 around 3 am. A case was registered on the complaint of his father, Keshav Raj, and both accused were later caught near the crime spot.

Police said Neha, who was in a year-long affair with Jitendra, conspired to eliminate her husband. She first served him alcohol, tied his hands and legs with a dupatta, and then, with Jitendra’s help, strangled him. The two carried the body on a bike and abandoned it on the roadside to pass it off as an accident.

Shockingly, Neha confessed that she had also given sleeping pills to her 5-year-old son, Advik, before committing the crime. The boy has now been handed over to his grandfather.

Villagers were left stunned when Neha admitted that it was Nageshwar himself who had introduced her to Jitendra, forcing her to continue the relationship, before their affair spiraled into a deadly conspiracy.

Both accused are now in jail, and further investigation is underway.
