00:12Pejuang President Mukhris Mahathir has ruled out returning to UMNO,

00:16saying the party is no longer what it once was.

00:19Mukhris noted that many of Pejuang's members previously belonged to UMNO,

00:24adding that they champion the same cause the party once fought for.

00:28His remarks come after former UMNO Youth Chief Khairi Jamaluddin

00:33recently expressed interest in returning to the party

00:35after its President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the doors were open to former members

00:41who had been sacked or suspended.

00:43Khairi, a former health minister, said on his Keluar Sekejap podcast

00:47he viewed the announcement as a positive development

00:50and an opportunity to reapply for membership.

00:54Other former UMNO members, such as Senior Past Leader Anwar Moussa

00:58and former UMNO Supreme Council Member Isham Jalil,

01:02have stated that they will not consider returning to the party.
