00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and you can probably tell by the markings
00:09on my nose, today we are going to treat the Pureform Fossa. Some people refer to this as the nasal
00:16base and this type of filler is really important for so many reasons to rejuvenate the aging face.
00:22As we age, not only do we lose a volume in our face with fat and muscle and everything just kind
00:29of shrinking and going south, we also have bone resorption which causes even more visible aging
00:35of the face. Treating the Pureform Fossa is a pretty easy treatment that doesn't require a lot of filler.
00:42The benefits of this are to improve the nasolabial fold, the mid-face, and even supports the lip.
00:49Overall, this gives a really nice natural looking rejuvenation to the mid-face. It is a subtle yet
00:56impactful treatment that I think so many people overlook on their anti-aging journey. Today I'm
01:02going to be using Tesoro Implant because it's a robust thicker filler that is appropriate when
01:08you're going to the bone. The treatment protocol here is going to be 0.2 to 0.25 injection down to
01:16the bone on both sides. So I'm going to clean this area of my face with alcohol, apply some topical
01:21lidocaine right in that triangular area and I will be right back. So it has been about 10 minutes with
01:27the topical lidocaine. I use the Pink Tub Lidocaine from AceCosum.com, discount code STACY10.
01:34All of these products are available at AceCosum. I'm going to go ahead and remove the topical lidocaine.
01:41I have a little alcohol on my gauze pad. It's also important when doing filler treatments to have the
01:47lipo rays on hand in case of a vascular occlusion. In the event of a vascular occlusion, the powdered
01:54formula in the lipo rays would be diluted with a couple mils of sterile saline. You would then apply
02:00it in the same area that you applied the filler. Now when done properly, I've never had to use
02:06dissolver for a vascular occlusion. I've never had one and that is why a safety focused information is
02:12so important. I have my tesoro implant and one of the included needles. This one has the gray band.
02:20It is a 27 gauge 13 millimeter needle. So I'm going to remove the top of the filler,
02:27untwist the protective cap on the needle, pop it onto the filler, and twist in a clockwise direction.
02:35I'm going to remove the protective cap. We're going to go right to the base here of the Pureform,
02:46to the bone, the needle tip touching the bone, and aspirate,
02:55watching for blood, keeping the needle tip steady to the bone.
03:11I'm going to twist just so I can see the markings,
03:15and then I'm going to ask for it again.
03:25And
03:30slowly
03:31inject. Steady pressure, not too hard.
03:50About 0.2 to 0.25.
03:52So that's about a quarter of the syringe.
04:04Calm and steady.
04:07Not wiggling, not moving.
04:09You want the needle tip to stay on the bone.
04:14And then I'm going to just take this out and it might bleed.
04:16And that's okay if it bleeds. It doesn't mean that you are in a blood vessel or vein,
04:24it just means you hit something on the way in.
04:27We're going to hold for about a minute to stop the bleeding.
04:31And then we're going to go in on the other side, right here.
04:37A little wiggle.
04:40You hear a little crunch when it first goes in.
04:46You hear a little crunch when it comes in.
04:49Making sure it's on the bone.
04:59Pulling back.
05:02Watching for flashback of blood in the face of the syringe and in the hub here.
05:12Holding steady.
05:16Nice and steady pressure.
05:43Watching the skin for signs of blanching.
05:46Gentle, steady pressure.
05:57Don't press too hard.
05:58Be patient.
06:09This will definitely help those nasolabial folds.
06:11It will help give support to the upper lip.
06:13Some people find that their lips start to fall as they age.
06:18This definitely helps that area.
06:25Slow and steady.
06:34And then pull out.
06:42You can tell the needle bent a little bit from hitting the bone.
06:46That's okay.
06:48We're going to hold pressure there for about, not super hard, but gentle pressure for about a minute.
06:53So I've used about half of the syringe.
06:54So I've used about half of the syringe.
06:56It's always better to start out under-treating than over-treating.
06:59But sometimes with major volume deficit, you may need a little bit more than that 0.2 or 0.25.
07:04It's always best to start out with a small amount.
07:08You can already see how my nasal labial folds are improved.
07:13And it just gives a beautiful restoration to the mid face.
07:17It also helps to give lift and support to the upper lip.
07:20So if you find that your lip seems to be dropping, this is something to try.
07:25Now this is not medical advice or instruction.
07:27This is education.
07:27So definitely check with a provider near you.
07:30Quick, easy, effective, affordable, and really gives a beautiful, natural result.
07:37Have you guys tried filler in the Puriform Fossa?
07:40If you have, let me know.
07:41This is something that I think is often overlooked, but such a great place to treat.
07:46Thank you so much for watching.
07:47Feel free to ask questions in the comments.
07:50I appreciate you spending a piece of your day with me.
