00:00And protecting people, Curtis brought up this morning a great question I thought about whether or not when you look at some of the quarterback injuries, Burrow, J.J. McCarthy, whatever, is that caused by a lack of snaps in the preseason?
00:19Or is that a factor in it?
00:21You know what? I'm not a big, I'm a fan of preseason, but I think you still should limit yourself.
00:30I think it's more of a strength and conditioning, you know what I mean?
00:33And putting that work in on the offseason or when you're not actually out there getting hit because you can't risk that either, you know, by putting them out there in the preseason and they don't even get a chance to play.
00:43But you have to take it upon yourself as an athlete to go out there and get and get that work in.
00:49You know what I mean? And that's all I can say is the strength and conditioning.
00:52Because how many strength coaches have been got fired because everybody getting hurt?
00:56Right. You know what I mean? That's it's the program.
00:58So I won't say put them back out there and play more preseason games.
01:03I don't think that's the way. I think it's the strength conditioning that means everything and putting the extra work in at practice.
01:10Now, when you sit there as a veteran and you feel your stuff don't stink and you ain't practicing and you ain't working out,
01:18because we all been there and seen some guy, we ain't gonna call no names, but we seen guys that ain't really putting in the work.
01:23Right. But they have a name so they get a pass.
01:25Right. You know what I mean? And I just think that you have to do more work, you know, when you're not on the field so you don't get hurt when you get on.
01:33Wiggy thinks the more fit guys get hurt more.
01:36Hmm? Yeah.
01:37Sometimes I feel like those fast dudes always pulling hamstrings.
01:41Right.
01:41The dudes that are super fast are always pulling hamstrings.
01:45Yeah. Well, you know what? The fast twitch muscles, yeah, for those guys.
01:49The smaller guys, we don't.
01:51Well, you know what? I might agree because I wasn't the fastest guy and I didn't pull my hamstring to my 15th year.
01:56Right.
01:56So I wasn't fast enough to pull no hamstring.
01:57But think about all those dudes that had hamstrings. They were lightning fast.
02:01Yeah.
02:01They all had six packs.
02:02Think about all the dudes who had like bicep muscle problems or something.
02:06They was always jacked.
02:07They pulling something.
02:08They always pulling something.
02:09You know, but some of us that might have had a little bit of that cushioning or maybe we didn't have that.
02:15Like maybe fourth gear is all we went to.
02:17Yeah.
02:17I think you're on to something.
02:19You might be on to something right there.
02:20Because I mean, I always had like my best day cocoa.
02:24I was a four pack.
02:25Four and a half.
02:26I ain't never had a six.
02:26I doubt that.
02:27That's the best you got to was a four and a half pack.
02:28Yeah.
02:29I couldn't get the whole six, man.
02:30I might have been like one and a half on a good day.
02:32With some good and with some good palmas, cocoa butter, oil.
02:36And lighting.
02:37Yes.
02:37Yeah.
02:37Lighting will help that out on a nice sweaty day.
02:40Wiggy, I have a great business idea for you.
02:42What's that?
02:42The answer to the TB12 method.
02:44Just overeat.
02:46Well, you don't overeat, but you want to have a little punch.
02:48Oh, no.
02:49You're getting that hot box though.
02:51Like now when you got to make weight, you know, we just all go down there, you know,
02:55you know, take we didn't have quarters and take a couple shots and then go get in the hot box,
02:58you know, dehydrate a little bit.
02:59I look good right there, Greg.
03:00I can just get out, come out of the mirror, make that weight.
03:02I'm like, damn.
03:03As soon as you go into breakfast, you can put that little one back right back on.
03:08That one ab came right back on.
03:09Yeah.
03:10All right.
03:11All right.
03:11Well, listen, it's great to see you.
03:13Thanks for being here.
03:14Oh, I appreciate it, man.
03:15We're going to play Hill Notes.
03:16You can hang out if you want.
03:17Oh, yeah.
03:18I'm going to hang out.
03:20I done drove all the way up.
03:21Y'all going to kick me out?
03:22Hell no.
03:22I'm going to stay here and just listen.
03:23Question about the Corvus gear.
03:25Is that available on the website?
03:27I just got to check it out.
03:27Oh, yeah.
03:28Yep.
03:28You know, CorvusVodka.com.
03:30Are you selling that?
03:31Yeah, because several people who are watching the show on Twitch are asking if they can buy that.
03:36Go to CorvusVodka.com and go to the apparel.
03:40We can send it right there to you.
03:42But I do got to say, because we was talking about 110 Grill.
03:45Tomorrow night, 6 to 8, I'll be there 110 Grill.
03:48We're going to hang out, do some tastings.
03:50And again...
03:50Which one?
03:52Rentham.
03:52I'm sorry.
03:53You know it.
03:53That's right.
03:54110 Grill in Rentham.
03:566 to 8 tomorrow.
03:57We're going to have some food, drink some Corvus.
04:00But now, Greg, you're going to be a judge, right?
04:03I count on you.
04:04What's the date of that thing?
04:05September the 27th, everybody.
04:07Y'all call in every day.
04:08Yes.
04:09I'll be there September 27th.
04:10All right.
04:10We got...
04:11Okay.
04:11Right.
04:12Greg is a judge.
04:12Hey, Wiggy.
04:13You down, right?
04:14I just got to see what my boys' football schedule...
04:16What time is it?
04:182 to 5.
04:182 to 5.
04:192 to 5.
04:19Okay.
04:20Patriot Place.
04:21Go to the Advantage app.
04:22Sign up.
04:22Register.
04:23You know, we get your wristbands.
04:25We can come out and have a good time.
04:26We're going to fill that thing up this year, y'all.
04:27Are you going down Saturday for Parcells, the Hall of Fame thing?
04:30Yeah, yeah, yep, yep.
04:32Parcells drafted me.
04:32I got to show respect, show love for that, man.
04:34Now, what's it?
04:34Edelman?
04:35Parcells and Edelman on Saturday?
04:36Yes.
04:36That is this Saturday.
04:38Yeah.
04:38And I think that gets underway at 3.30 or something like that.
04:41Yeah, 3.30, 4 o'clock.
04:42It starts something like that.
04:43I think it's long overdue for Bill, don't you think?
04:45Yeah.
04:46Long overdue.
04:47I think so.
04:48Should have been done a long time ago.
04:49Yeah, absolutely.
04:50You know who I'm surprised at?
04:52You know, who put out there?
04:53Ain't nobody say nothing about Lowy and Malloy.
04:55You know, I'm like, why do my boy keep getting changed?
04:57Don't you think he brought a Super Bowl here?
05:00That's a good point.
05:00He was a four-time Pro Bowler, you know, seven years here before Rodney Harrison.
05:04Didn't Rodney get one?
05:05Oh, no, Rodney got in.
05:06Yeah, yeah, Rodney.
05:06No, Rodney was an animal now.
05:08No, Rodney's not.
05:09No, Rodney.
05:09It's Hall of Fame, yeah.
05:10Is he?
05:11Yeah, I think it was a great team.
05:12Yeah, Lawyer's not in yet.
05:14Yeah, Lawyer should be in.
05:15I feel like Lawyer's one of those foundational guys.
05:18Ask Curtis.
05:18He's the savant.
05:19Yeah, Curtis, why ain't Lawyer in, man?
05:21I think Rodney Harrison being better than him hurt his career candidacy.
05:25I think Rodney did what Lawyer did better.
05:29But I'm saying for the Patriots, though, we're not talking about the pro football.
05:32No, Rodney should be in the pro football.
05:33I agree.
05:34Oh, 100%.
05:34I'm talking about the Patriots Hall of Fame.
05:36I don't think Lawyer Malloy is a, given the people that have yet to get in, like, I just,
05:40I don't think, I think Logan Mankins is a better Patriot than Lawyer Malloy.
05:43He's not in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
05:45Logan Mankins is one of the great guards in the history of the NFL.
05:48Lawyer Malloy was very good, but he happened to be next to a Hall of Famer in you.
05:51Yeah, but he won a Super Bowl, though.
05:52Yeah, he won the first one.
05:53So then why not just put all 53 from the team in?
05:55No, no, no, but I think he was like.
05:56I mean, what are we talking about?
05:57You're talking about.
05:57I think Max Lane should be in there.
05:59I mean, in the Packers Hall of Fame.
06:01He went to a Super Bowl.
06:02Wait, so, of course, you just want, so who's in, who's, who should be in, is not in?
06:07Oh, jeez, I have to look at the whole list.
06:09But, okay, well, we just got Edelman in.
06:14Right.
06:14Matt Light in?
06:16Matt Light is in.
06:18Then you got Troy Brown's in.
06:21Yeah, Troy Brown's in.
06:22Troy Brown should definitely be in, because wasn't he at the first Super Bowl II in 96?
06:26Yeah.
06:26When he parted at?
06:27Yeah.
06:28And then he played for New England for like seven or eight years.
06:30Yeah, and then he was, you know, he had a month, like, he had four Pro Bowls.
06:33Lauren Malloy?
06:34Yeah.
06:34Lauren Malloy, yeah.
06:35He was at the Super Bowl team in 96?
06:38Yeah.
06:38Yeah.
06:38And he went to a bunch of Pro Bowls.
06:40I mean, he had a bunch of Pro Bowls.
06:41That's what I'm saying.
06:42All right, I'll change my opinion.
06:43Let me just, I can't look up 65 things at once.
06:45No, but I'm saying that guys that should be in from maybe that don't have the three Super
06:51Bowls, like Logan Mankins, I think he should be in, but I don't think he won a Super Bowl.
06:55I mean, without him, there wouldn't have been a law firm, would have just been, you know,
07:00one guy doing law.
07:01Yeah, it's just a long guy.
07:02Yeah.
07:02Yeah.
07:03Would have been just you doing the law.
07:04That's a good one.
07:05I will say this, Kai, you did it.
07:06You got me convinced.
07:08I want Lawyer Malloy in the Patriots hall.
07:10Yeah.
07:10And then, you know, of course, Slater going to get in first ballot.
07:12It's going to be interesting.
07:13It's a little log jam.
07:14Right.
07:15That's, you know, coming up with the Patriots.
07:17So many great, you know, guys that contributed.
07:19Are they going to give like, if they give Randy Moss a red jacket, they definitely got
07:24to give one a lawyer.
07:26Or Wes Welker.
07:27If they give Wes Welker a red jacket.
07:29Randy Moss had the greatest season in NFL history.
07:31We're not talking about the NFL.
07:32We're talking about the Patriots organization.
07:34The Patriots and the NFL had the greatest season of all time.
07:37Randy got one here?
07:38Yeah.
07:39I'm not sure.
07:40But if, well.
07:40Damn.
07:41Did I?
07:41Yeah.
07:41I'm just going to say, I'm on it.
07:42I think.
07:43Well, I don't think Randy's in, but I think Welker might have a red jacket.
07:46No.
07:47No, I don't.
07:47You know?
07:47Also, I demand Tony Eason be given a red jacket immediately.
07:51I mean, I agree Moss should get a red jacket.
07:53Yeah.
07:53Randy Moss is not in.
07:54I agree.
07:55Moss should get one.
07:56I agree.
07:57Welker should get one.
07:58But I also agree.
07:59Oh, well.
07:59Welker.
08:00No.
08:00Welker put up some numbers.
08:01Right.
08:01And that's why.
08:02But I also agree.
08:03Lawyers should get him.
08:04Because during his heyday with the Patriots.
08:06Right.
08:07He was one of the top safeties in the league.
08:09I was a big fan of Chris Hogan.
08:11He also played lacrosse.
08:12Me too, honestly.
08:13Blacks guy.
08:14Okay.
08:15Can I tell you a guy that deserves to be an overlawyer, Malloy?
08:17Sweet feet.
08:19Yeah.
08:19Who?
08:20James White?
08:21Yeah.
08:22You don't have that comeback against the Falcons.
08:25James White, third down back.
08:26Look at the look you're getting.
08:27Thank God there's glass separating you two right now.
08:30James White was a.
08:31He was Kevin Fox in.
08:33James White was Kevin Fox the second dynasty.
08:36You know, damn.
08:37I ain't James White.
08:38I mean, no.
08:39All due respect.
08:40Right.
08:40Right.
08:40I ain't no Kevin Fox.
08:42No, come on.
08:43Come on.
08:43You done lost your football credibility card for 24 hours.
08:48You guys are living in an ancient era.
08:51Like, I'm sorry.
08:52You just.
08:53Let's pull this up, Mitch.
08:54The old days.
08:55You're stuck in the old days.
08:56How?
08:57Life has passed all of us by.
08:58I'm sorry.
08:59It's okay.
09:00Besides the Super Bowl.
09:02Who had a better career?
09:04No.
09:04Tell me the James White.
09:05Like, tell me the historical moments.
09:07Because I'm lost.
09:08Yeah.
09:08The.
09:09I'm waiting.
09:10Besides the Super Bowl.
09:11Yeah.
09:14Trying to think.
09:14Damn right.
09:15You had a lot of catches.
09:16You had a lot of catches.
09:18I mean.
09:18Had a couple of runs.
09:19Anything comes to mind great?
09:20I mean, he won three Super Bowls.
09:22He went to four.
09:22Anything come to mind.
09:23I would say.
09:24I would say this.
09:25Lawyer at his position.
09:28Was viewed in the league as a better player than James White.
09:31Right.
09:32Exactly.
09:32It's about.
09:33It's about the Patriots.
09:34Exactly.
09:35And that's my point.
09:36For the Patriots.
09:36More impactful for the Patriots.
09:38Lawyer my lawyer.
09:39James White.
09:39Like I said.
09:40I don't say nothing.
09:41James White.
09:42Right.
09:42No great player.
09:43But come on, man.
09:44What about.
09:44How many Pro Bowls he mentioned?
09:46What about AB?
09:47AB probably deserves one.
09:48I'm sure Robert will throw him in.
09:50Hey, Ty, can you answer this question?
09:52Yeah.
09:52Because it was the biggest story in the world.
09:55You guys release Lawyer Malloy.
09:56He goes to the Bills.
09:57They beat the Patriots 31-0 in week one.
09:59Yeah.
10:00Tom Jackson goes on ESPN and says the Patriots hate their coach.
10:05I remember that.
10:06What was that week like behind the scenes?
10:09Bill must have been.
10:10To this day, Bill won't talk to Tom Jackson.
10:13I respect that.
10:14And Lawyer first team all pro.
10:17Yeah.
10:17In 1999.
10:21Wiggy's about to get to his lead.
10:22For Pro Bowls.
10:23Curtis had just asked a question.
10:24Yeah, but we're talking.
10:26What's the question again?
10:29You want to go?
10:29Hey, let's go to Lawyer Malloy's pro football reference page and read the stats.
10:33And I got to say, Lawyer was an Iron Man, too.
10:37He didn't miss no games in like 15 years.
10:40I don't think he missed like one game or something like that.
10:42It was crazy.
10:43But no, I hated Bill for a hot second.
10:47You know, I mean, really, because Lawyer, that was, you know, one of my best friends
10:51on the team.
10:51So, you know, it was the firm that we was together at that time for, was it six years, six or
10:56seven years?
10:56We together, you know, and we were two guys back there.
11:00You know, we bring Rodney Harrison in, which he made everybody step their game up.
11:04But at the time when they brought him in, we didn't really know him other than all the
11:09praise that Belichick was.
11:10And it kind of put us like, he ain't on our team.
11:12I was like, you know, F Rodney.
11:13And that's my dog.
11:14Yeah.
11:14You know what I mean?
11:15Like, Rodney was the best defensive player that I ever played with.
11:19You know, I mean, hands down.
11:20But when he came in, Lawyer was my guy.
11:23You was the enemy.
11:23You was San Diego Chargers.
11:25He had to earn the respect, which he did.
11:27But when they let Lawyer go, it just made it kind of like.
11:31He was the best defensive player you ever played with.
11:33Yes.
11:34I mean, he's the real deal.
11:37He's supposed to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
11:40Great.
11:40I'm really, he was that damn good.
11:41And I'm not taking any weight.
11:43You're talking about your Richard Seymours and all that.
11:45But being in the, back in the secondary, you know, I played with, you know, Brian Dawkins.
11:51A great player.
11:52I didn't play with him in his prime.
11:53We were both, you know, on the tail end.
11:55And, you know, I've been in the Pro Bowls with other guys.
11:58Rodney Harrison, man, he's the best I done seen.
12:03You know what I mean?
12:03Because he can do everything.
12:05You know, he can cover.
12:06He can hit you.
12:07He going to fight you.
12:08He'll spit on him.
12:08He'll do whatever he got to do to win.
12:11And I said, if I'm going to go down in the foxhole and got to get out, damn it, I want to go with Rodney.
12:15You know what I mean?
12:16Ty Law's here.
12:17We got a take on Drake May.
12:18I think Drake May had his best game so far of his career.
12:24And that's including last year.
12:25He was, what, 19 for 23.
12:28You know, no interceptions.
12:29Two touchdowns.
12:30He managed the game.
12:31He spread the ball around.
12:33So I was very impressed.
12:34That was Tom Brady-esque type of performance that he did because the way he spread the ball.
12:40He wasn't just looking for one guy.
12:42So I love the way he played.
12:44Do you have the asterisk, though, because it was Miami?
12:47You know what?
12:47He's young.
12:48So we're going to give him a pass.
12:49You know what I mean?
12:49We got to give him that pass.
12:50But I think he had a great performance.
12:52And that was his best game to date.
12:54Okay?
12:55Most inter-
12:56I don't know.
12:56I don't know.
12:57I don't know.
12:57I don't know.
