00:11percentage, like Mike McDonald, does he stay with that percentage, or do you think with the ability of a guy
00:18like Caleb Williams being able to move like he can, that we do see them bring a little bit more

00:25It's a great question, Jared. I hesitate to say he'll change much because everybody knows in the NFL that Mike
00:33McDonald sticks to who he is, he does what he does, and you've got to figure out a way to
00:39stop it.
00:39I mean, at the end of the day, in a perfect world for Mike McDonald, his defense gets a sack,
00:44or they get a takeaway, or they just make you march down the field and play the short game because
00:51they want to keep everything in front.
00:53And, you know, I had this conversation recently with somebody who's worked within that organization for, like, the past decade
01:02who's no longer there, and Brian Flores' defense and Mike McDonald's defense achieved the same thing with almost the same
01:11result but with different looks.
01:12Brian loads you up at the line of scrimmage, he gaps you out in the run game, and Mike McDonald
01:17loads you up on the back end and gaps you out on the back end, which is not a figure,
01:23you know, that we would use, but just to emphasize the point, the things he does with his unit on
01:30the back side of the defense forces the quarterback to think, speeds the quarterback up, but then in turn makes
01:38the quarterback hold the football.
01:39And the problem for them is, if Caleb's holding the football, at a certain point, he's running.
01:46And can they chase him down is the question.
01:49So this is going to be one of the best chess matches we've had all season long, and I remind
01:53you, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs scored three points last week against this defense.
02:00If Seattle scores and their defense does what it does, it's hard to beat them, especially out there in Seattle.
