00:08These hands belong to a 72-year-old woman
00:13who has shown them at her work picking tomatoes
00:16in the Tambo Valley in Arequipa, Peru.
00:21The image reminded me of a passage from the book
00:25In the Light of Truth, the Grail message,
00:28in which Abdurashin states that
00:31the precious gem shines with greater purity and brilliance
00:36in a rugged hand discolored by sweat and dirt
00:40than in the well-cared-for fingers of a lazy idler
00:45who spends his time on earth only in contemplation.
00:50Abdurashin makes use of this metaphor
00:52to highlight the difference in effect
00:55between those who verily use daily
00:59the teachings of a message from God
01:02in other actions and thoughts
01:04and those who merely contemplate and listen to it
01:08at predetermined hours and days
01:11or seek refuge in it
01:13when affliction knocks at the door.
01:16Even when a person finally finds the truth of life
01:22it won't help him if he does not incorporate it
01:26into his life as something natural and ingrained
01:30so singular that he does not even need to reflect
01:35on how to act in a given situation
01:38since it is no longer possible for him
01:41to do anything different from his Creator's will.
01:47Only those who reach this point
01:50will have indeed acquired, for themselves,
01:53a message from the Almighty
01:55which will always shine pure in their hands
01:58calloused by unceasing daily activity.
02:04Finding, recognizing, and, mainly,
02:08living within the truth
02:10must be the supreme goal of every sincere seeker
02:14who moves spiritually by himself
02:16free of any dogmas.
02:19The more he advances towards this goal
02:23by his self-effort
02:25and the closer he gets to it
02:27the more aid he will receive
02:30from the laws in force in creation
02:34in an entirely automatic way.
