00:00The Poltergeist Phenomenon
00:07Poltergeist is a German word meaning noisy spirit.
00:15Records of paranormal activity attributed to poltergeist,
00:20such as floating or thrown objects,
00:23come from a long time, since the beginning of the 19th century.
00:28However, they always occur when a particular person is present in the environment,
00:35usually a youngster.
00:37One of the most famous and best studied cases
00:43occurred in the years 1967 and 1968 in Germany.
00:49The phenomenon was directly related to an 18-year-old girl,
00:55Anne-Marie Schaberl, who was forced to quit two jobs
