00:08the earthly human being has several casings involving his self

00:15but the main two are the physical body and what we call the soul

00:20the soul is the cloak of the spirit just as the body is the cloak of the soul

00:27the soul is simply the spirit with other mantles or garments after stripping the physical body

00:36not coincidentally the apostle Paul exhorted the Thessalonians to

00:43preserve your whole spirit and soul and body blameless

00:501 Thessalonians 5.23

00:56the same division indeed was already taught before by Plato who was equally Greek

01:04this differentiation even appears in both the New and the Old Testaments

01:11the scriptures moreover make various allusions to the pre-existence of the soul

01:18the Hebrew Old Testament texts make a clear distinction between

01:25Bazar, Body, Nepis, Soul and Hua, Spirit

01:32as well as the Greek texts of the New Testament

01:36Soma, Body, Psi, Soul and Pneuma, Spirit

01:43Historian Flavius Josephus, 1st century, says in his work Antiquities of the Jews

01:52that, quote, God took dust from the ground and formed man

01:58and inserted in him a spirit and a soul, end quote

02:04theologian Origen, 3rd century, explains in his work on the first principles

02:12written at the age of 23 that, quote, man consists of body, soul and spirit, end quote

02:23the human spirit needs, unconditionally, these two basic casings to entirely assert itself here

02:33on the visible matter

02:35without the physical body, that is, the outer gross material cloak

02:42it would not be able to act in the terrestrial environment of the same species

02:48it is like someone who wants or needs to explore the ocean floor

02:55and know what is in that environment below

02:58to be able to find what lies underneath the sea

03:03he must dive there

03:05however, before jumping in the water

03:09he should wear appropriate overalls for protection against low temperatures

03:14and, above the overalls, he still has to wear a cumbersome and waterproof deep sea diving suit

03:23that allows him to move in the aquatic environment

03:27which is denser than the air from where he came

03:31well equipped, such a person can dive to the sea bottom

03:37wander around, learn everything he needs

03:42and finally merge again to the surface

03:45where he may strip the two special casings that used in the descent

03:50until a new need for learning encourages one to prepare again for another dive

03:57likewise, these special diving suits

04:03both casings of the human spirit

04:06the body and the soul

04:08also have no autonomous life outside earth

04:12and the world we call beyond

04:14as spiritually animated instruments they are

04:18thus, the spirit is the only alive in the human being

04:24and we distinctly feel it as our inner self
