00:00This is unacceptable. It's so tragic. And he touched a lot of people in a lot of people's
00:06hearts. You're going to hear a lot about more about that in the next hour and in the coming
00:11hours here on Fox News. His first television hit Greg Feld was Fox Fox and Friends in 2012,
00:18believe it or not. So, we've known the young man for a long time and may he rest in peace.
00:25Yeah, he's I've known him for probably 10 years.
00:30I mean it's hard to gather your thoughts beyond just horror.
00:36He so instead I mean you know Charlie was such a force of nature.
00:42He was brilliant and he was funny but what scared people was his persuasive.
00:48The only way to take him down because he could persuade you so strongly was to kill him.
00:54You know, the shock and despair that we are feeling and I mean we as shared by everyone
00:58at home and around this table and in this building.
01:03It's a testament to the impact of Charlie's friendship and his bravery and his character.
01:11And it's so deep a wound that we all feel it's because it feels like he's one of us.
01:15He's part of his booze he was such genuinely a patriot and a great person.
01:23So how do you work through this stuff?
01:26You know, it's not about him or me.
01:29It's us the viewers.
01:30You are us.
01:32What do we do?
01:33Well, you still do what you always do, but you do more of it.
01:37You stand up, you speak up, and you share the risk.
01:39Right now you are recoiling but you have to come back and return stronger, more fortified
01:46and more resilient.
01:49What is ironic fittingly I guess is that this is a turning point.
01:54You know if you believe in Charlie you got to believe in yourself because he believed
01:58in you.
01:59You know this isn't over.
02:01This is the beginning.
02:02And Charlie's power just dropped in all of us.
02:04He's going to be bigger now than he ever was on this chaotic planet.
02:10He made us all bigger.
02:15So I think that if you're at home and you're feeling bad, don't just get through it and
02:18remember that he would want you to get stronger and not back down.
02:30Just before you can find his many books at America's favorite landfills.
02:34Friends that either he has a dove in his pants or he's happy to see you.
02:49Magician and illusion Chris Angel.
02:56I started a GoFundMe page for victims of his act.
02:59Comedian and founder of Studs.
03:01Michael and what she lacks in mass.
03:12She makes up with Sass Newt best-selling author and Dora Bree.
03:20This story must bother you on a number of levels.
03:23Number 1.
03:24Brian Stelter has your name, Brian.
03:26And he probably makes more money than you.
03:30Yeah.
03:32He probably, you know, goes to better parties than you and but at least you still have hair,
03:37right?
03:40Is that the question?
03:45Don't you when you watch these things don't you get the sense that the media is some they've
03:48lost the narrative?
03:49A couple things about this.
03:52So you know you write you want to write down a punch.
03:56You see something funny especially for your show you write down the punchline to me I wrote
04:00stuff down because they're actually the new story is the comedy.
04:03Yeah, the tragic comedy.
04:05Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk and other Trumpian figures succeeded in making this a symbol of
04:10big city crime.
04:11Yes, it's a symbol of big city crime, absolutely.
04:15And then when she this mayor comes out and says, what do you want me to do?
04:19We can't arrest our way out of this.
04:21We can't arrest every a lunatic on a train with a knife.
04:25Yes, you can.
04:27You had 14 to get him.
04:30I can't I go this cannot be happening.
04:34Great logic.
04:35So I'm just writing down what exactly they said.
04:39And that's the sad and tragic punchline.
04:42And then on top of that, people this out.
04:44Danny Penny was leading our show.
05:05Is why so many so few people did anything to help this girl.
05:16To death.
05:16Yeah, they just look the other way.
05:18Chris, did you see that?
05:20I was going to add to what you just said, which is uh perfect.
05:24But I think that us society has to the tides have to change.
05:28You know, right now people are scared to get involved.
05:31We need to let people know that if you have this type of behavior, you can't just like
05:36walking off the train and no one's going to confront the person.
05:45MV because you see something like that you got as a society and say this is not acceptable
05:49behavior.
05:56If you don't then you're going to allow this to continue and to proliferate.
05:59And that's what's happening because of the last four years.
06:02Yeah, you know what the thing is we have you can app if you like.
06:11They're applauding you despite your torn jeans.
06:14You know, I felt religious.
06:16I didn't go to church.
06:17I'm a holy jeans.
06:18Yes, the uh it is funny.
06:21We are living in a time, Michael, where we are kind of expected to accept things.
06:25Yeah.
06:29It's like we were going to whether it was like an open border or just a revolving door
06:33crime or a we were well during covid we had to accept people telling us how to live.
06:39Yeah.
06:40Yeah.
06:40They they yeah.
06:42Right.
06:43What is nuts?
06:45Uh Tim Waltz.
06:46Hello Tim Waltz.
06:48I set up a hotline you can rat out your neighbors.
06:50Yes.
06:51They have too many people over for a party.
06:55Call them up and let me know.
06:56But that you know what?
06:57That's a great point.
06:59Yeah.
07:10The I'm with you.
07:12These wild headlines.
07:15Miz outraged about a murder.
07:16As opposed to what?
07:21Right.
07:22It was absolutely horrifying.
07:24And if you're not outraged by this, there's something really wrong with you.
07:28This whole story just gets worse and worse.
07:30It's like looking at a menu at a vegan restaurant.
07:33You know, you're just like there's got to be something.
07:36No, there's no rock ball, kimchi nuggets.
07:40Node, node.
07:41It's all horrible.
07:43Excellent analogy.
07:45It's funny when you listen to the media and also the leaders down there.
07:49It's like they're mad when you point out they're not doing their job.
07:53It's like if you had a job review and went cat, you didn't show up for the show yesterday.
07:58You said you and somebody died and someone died.
08:01Yes.
08:01And you're like, I know, but you don't need to point it out.
08:05Yeah.
08:05I would say don't point out that I wasn't there.
08:08Yeah.
08:09I would say me not showing up for the show arguably slightly less consequential than these
08:13people's jobs in terms of great, great job.
08:17That's why you're sitting over there.
08:19Um, analogies me to this place.
08:23Um, much like a chair.
08:25Yes.
08:25I'm glad you brought up COVID booze.
08:28I think there's something that else about it that is irrelevant here, which is that with
08:32COVID that was a virus, which is something else that we all should have been together.
08:35We did that for maybe like two days where we were like, we're in this together before the virus
08:43became politicized, where if somebody said something like, I think it should be cool to
08:46go outside and go to the beach.
08:48It was like, oh, well, that makes you very, very right wing.
08:54And also you killed my grandma.
08:57And it's like, no, but it's, it turns out that it was actually.
09:01So when this, this hyper politicization of things where it's like Brian Stelter as a
09:15human should be able to look at this and say, this is disgusting.
09:28Really, really sad, horrible thing.
09:31And if I got killed and that was ruined, if that is indeed possible, I will decapitate
09:39you when I kill you.
09:46That way you have to carry your UB the first person interview, probably.
09:51No, but you know what?
09:53I'll throw them off the scent by volunteering to lead the search.
09:56Right.
09:56Absolutely.
09:57That always works on forensic files.
10:01Just don't go near the shed.
10:02She never went to the shed.
10:06The Gutfeld show had everything, including what's the host's name?
10:12Keith Morrison.
10:13Keith quick on the buzzer.
10:16The Fox show.
10:17I wish I could do him.
10:18I got to shut up and do the next tagman.
10:20I want to do an impression of Keith Morrison.
10:22Up next, reason 957 to hate the media.
10:29Media enough.
10:38Did they boo or did they cheer?
10:40Welcome to another media smear.
10:42The president attended the US Open.
10:45What's that?
10:46The US Open, the US Open, in New York, on Sunday.
10:52Media desperate tried to convince us.
10:54The crow was anti-ump roll.
10:57Car ch.
10:59Divided opinion.
11:01Is this just about 10 or is it a mirror of America's deep political divide?
11:06His arrival met by M.I. of boo and cheers from the audience.
11:09But you might not have known it if you were watching on television.
11:13The US Tennis Association asking broadcast outlets to not show booing or protest.
11:18There was a mix of cheers and boo when Trump first walked.
11:30New York City, vast majority of residents, voted against him, and tennis attracts a kind
11:35of audience that might be a little more liberal than, let's say, the people who go to the UFC
11:39matches that Trump likes to attend.
11:42So even in their criticism they're admitting Trump walks right into the lion's dead.
11:47Biden would never walk into a lion's dead, although they rarely eat vegetables.
11:55But you're too kind.
12:00But it must have been really bad, right?
12:03Let's see the tape.
12:05That's what they're talking about.
12:28The way they made it out, you thought the audience was being tortured and not because
12:32they were watching tennis.
12:35But the interesting part, a lot of these outlets won't show you the tape.
12:39They just say a mix of boo and cheers, which is their way of saying mostly cheers.
12:45They claim boo were censored, but won't show you Trump signing hats for fans.
12:50Instead, the headline really should have read Trump surprisingly popular at sporting events
12:54where most of the fans have butlers.
12:56But when it comes to any Trump coverage, just use this handy truth to media conversion tip.
13:05If they say he was booed, it was maybe 5050.
13:09If they say he was booed and cheered, he entered like a hero.
13:12And if the media says he was greeting with open arms, it means the view was having a stroke.
13:17So Chris, it's kind of funny.
13:27It was like because he gets such raucous applause at these other events, the media had to take
13:31this little crumb, this little crumb at the US Open and turn it into a meal like a magic trick.
13:36Yeah, yes.
13:39All I got to tell you, it was obviously a slow news day, you know, there wasn't much going on.
13:44And by the way, whether it was 5050 or 90, whatever it is, the end of the day, you're
13:50never going to have everybody in a room that's going to go crazy for you.
13:53Not even you.
13:55Not even me.
13:57And definitely not Michael.
13:58Yes.
13:59I love you, Michael.
14:00I love you, Michael.
14:01But you know, Mother Teresa didn't have everybody.
14:04People people didn't like she was a real jerk to a lot of people.
14:07Yeah.
14:10You can't make everyone happy, you know, and that's me 50 bucks by the way.
14:15It was tennis.
14:17She said she gave it to the poor.
14:19And by the way, Trump is an alpha.
14:21Like him, you know, the last four years we didn't have someone that you know, had strength
14:26and power.
14:27Do you think like a couple people is going to affect them?
14:29He's going to go out and do something that's going to yeah, affect them.
14:32Do you know what he should do?
14:33Deport all tennis players.
14:37No, this must us stir some emotions because you often sleep on public tennis courts.
14:43Does it bother you that many of them are now have installed lights for night play which
14:47makes it do?
14:49It does.
14:51I usually I sleep on clay.
14:53Yeah.
14:54Now I'm transitioning to a lawn.
14:57It's I call it Wimbledon sleeping.
14:59It's fantastic.
15:02I love that Trump went to this event.
15:05He's a big tennis guy.
15:07He's gone for like 40 years.
15:09He's from Queens.
15:10What would I have done?
15:11And like, oh, no, oh, no.
15:13Some of the people from the wine and cheese crowd.
15:15We came all the way from Martha's Vineyard expecting to enjoy the US Open.
15:20I didn't think Trump would be there.
15:21I think he should have ice people like with facial recognition technology like whoever
15:28booed when they go home there's an immigrant family waiting for.
15:33Right.
15:33I'm freshly back from the open.
15:41Who are you?
15:46Kat, are you surprised how the media framed this?
15:50I've been trying to decide.
15:52I've been trying to decide how they decided to maybe even cover it because when you boil
15:59it down, what they're really saying is reporting live.
16:02There are people in New York who do not like Trump.
16:06Yeah, like we all knew that.
16:08Everybody knew that.
16:09He knew that.
16:09I'm sure walking in there that was going to be the case.
16:12So I don't understand how it received so much coverage.
16:15Yeah, you could actually say we're live from the US Open.
16:18There are people here.
16:19Yeah, exactly.
16:21Any yeah.
16:21Trump Trump is controversial.
16:25Did anyone know that?
16:26It's been going on for how many years now?
16:28Yeah, it's crazy.
16:30You know, Brian, tennis is boring, so you must love it.
16:33Right.
16:33I appreciate athleticism.
16:35I would love for an American to be good like they used to be good.
16:38Are Americans bad at tennis?
16:40I don't know.
16:40We're not trying because we find it boring as a nation.
16:43We've adjusted to pickleball.
16:44Much more exciting, less movement.
16:46Yeah, and they love Trump.
16:48He's got the pickleball people in the hand.
16:50He does.
16:52And more we have to blow the commercial go into more pickleball talk.
16:56But I bring you to Stephanie R.A.
16:57Woman never been quoted on Gutfeld who's on MSNBC.
17:01She said I was there.
17:02I didn't witness him being booed.
17:04And the delay was not a big deal because I had delay 50 minutes because of secret service.
17:09Had to do the whole us stadium because the day was about great tennis.
17:12The president was there too.
17:14So you know that she would have taken a shot if she should.
17:16She was just being honest.
17:18But there's two things that stand out with me and this is going to you're going to say at the end of the show.
17:22Uh that block briarkable.
17:27He goes to New York where he's not popular.
17:29He's got 40% happily.
17:32Uh and then he is also trying to save cities who pretty much didn't vote for him.
17:36He's trying to go to the inner cities and try to bring security and bring down crime for the people who want to work and are victims of crime.
17:43Like the people who get stabbed on trains.
17:45Rich people don't stay on trains on a rush hour.
17:48They're in cars.
17:49Other in their own car or a car service.
17:51So again, Trump goes,
17:52I'm going to go.
17:53I don't care what's going to happen.
17:54I'm just going to do the right thing.
17:55He loves sports.
17:57What do you think?
18:00No.
18:00Other was nothing remarkable about that.
18:02Nothing.
18:08I mean seriously I got nothing disappointed.
18:14I'm remarkably disappointed.
18:18So thank you.
18:26Hold your applause.
18:27I like doing that after they applaud.
18:30Remember when life gives you Dawn Lemon,
18:32put arsink in your lemonade tonight.
18:34And are you as dumb as a dog?
18:36Part 2.
18:37Part-time busy.
18:38Full-time assistant.
18:39Dawn Lemon hit the streets of NYC interviewing random people and he met his match.
18:44Roll it, Phyllis.
18:45How are you doing, sir?
18:47Can we talk to you?
18:48Where are you from?
18:49Do you live in New York?
18:50Who are you?
18:51Dawnem.
18:52Your dude.
18:53So are you.
18:56Except you've never heard anything had to say and heard a whole bunch of what you watch me.
19:00No, I don't.
19:02Why?
19:03You just get clipped everywhere.
19:06I know but why don't you said you don't watch me.
19:09But you you know who I am and I get before I realize CNN and MSNBC every once in a while I watch all sorts of stuff.
19:17Yeah, why do you say CNN MSNBC?
19:19Yeah, like a smart man.
19:23Here's more.
19:26You're A, to begin with.
19:27Why would you call me A?
19:29You're A.
19:29Why would you why would you want to insult me?
19:34Because it just comes out of hand because you're big and think that you're something man just what do you mean I'm big and I think that I'm supposed to not think that I'm anything.
19:41What are you?
19:45What are you talking about?
19:46Welcome to think you're something.
19:47What do you think you are?
19:48Oh, I'm just me.
19:50You've had a platform.
19:51I'm just me.
19:52Why would you insult people like that?
19:54I wouldn't dare ever walk up to someone on the street and call them an idiot.
19:58It's really interesting that you'd say that you'd never walk up to somebody, insult them.
20:02Yeah, I walked up to you and I said, what do you think about the state of the world?
20:05And you said, you're Don Lemon.
20:06And you said, you're.
20:08Yes, you did.
20:09Did he not say that?
20:10That's exactly what you said.
20:11I said, I said, who are you?
20:13No, he I said, who are you?
20:15The GU right.
20:16You walked up to him.
20:22This might be the best work Don has ever done more.
20:27Do you have anything interesting to say to?
20:30Yeah, I think this is very interesting right now because you're not making any sense and so far you're not able to defend yourself.
20:36I'm not trying to defend myself.
20:38Yeah.
20:40I insult Lemon to make about myself.
20:52You have to insult other people.
20:54Nothing to do with me because I would never in a million years let me tell you this.
20:57I would never in a million years walk up to anybody whether I knew them or not or agreed with them politically or not and call them a before I even knew who they were or anything came out of their miles.
21:08You just called me a I never called did I call him a yes you did and you've called everybody racist from your little perch jackass.
21:19Finally a surprise you didn't see coming.
21:24I'm a racist.
21:28Yeah, don't waste your time with him.
21:29He said you're racist.
21:31Yeah, don't waste your time with me.
21:32I'm a racist.
21:33Yeah.
21:34Arr thank you.
21:35Come on.
21:36Eek here.
21:36Tell me why.
21:38Why you won.
21:40I'm not mad because Trump won.
21:42Anyway, nice to meet you.
21:44Go find a library.
21:45Go.
21:45Go find.
21:45Hey, let me tell you.
21:47Go find a light.
21:47Eek here.
21:48Go find you.
21:49Go find a library.
21:50And there's a bookstore.
21:51There's a bookstore right there.
21:52Are you kidding me?
21:53Not with somebody else's.
21:54Michael, you're a homeless guy.
22:02Yeah.
22:03I mean, if he walked up to you in the street, that guy is amazing.
22:07Yeah, that's that's how you do it.
22:10And then I am homeless, which is a bonus, which means I'm already home.
22:16When everyone else is in traffic, I'm already there.
22:21This was a this was a clinic that this guy put on.
22:25You know, that's how you calmly dismantle Don Lemon.
22:29You go at it and and really for Don Lemon, it was the most Peewee Herman thing ever.
22:34Like we lost Peewee recently, but he's living on through Don Lemon.
22:41I'm not a Yura, but I never called you a.
22:48I know you are Greg, but what am I cat?
22:50I kind of like the fact that Don Lemon thinks as an anchor that he has this thing handled.
22:58You know, and the guy just like flips it on him and he's that guy has no TV experience,
23:03I think.
23:04Yeah, I was I almost had the Keith Morrison voice in my head watching.
23:08Was like, oh, no, this is not going well for Don Lemon, but it went really well for me.
23:17And I'll tell you why, because sometimes I will interact with people who are saying hateful
23:20things to me on the Internet.
23:22I'm like, why do I do that?
23:23I wasted my time.
23:24Shouldn't have done that.
23:25But you got Don Lemon getting up, getting out of bed, putting on a collared shirt to go do it in
23:30person.
23:30That's way more embarrassing.
23:33And he didn't even do a good job.
23:35And he's doing and he thinks this is successful because it's on our show.
23:38And it's like, no, we're making we're laughing at you, Don.
23:42I will give him a compliment though because it's there's no stains at all in that shirt.
23:46Yeah, yeah.
23:48Why would you wear something so white?
23:50I thought whites were racist.
23:52I like how he says never million years insult someone.
23:56His show was nothing but just demonizing people.
23:59And that guy represents the audience who feels like for MSNBC and CNN had a point and they
24:04realized they all had an agenda.
24:06And I think that's the anger you're seeing.
24:08I'll be real quick.
24:09Bill Maher, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon.
24:11The only time they really get airtime, although Bill Maher I think is exceptional, is when they
24:15are open to a conservative point of view.
24:17That's when they get clicks.
24:18That's when they make news.
24:19And they're all three are left alone in the wilderness with one rating until they bring
24:24up something like this.
24:26So, he's willing to sacrifice his self-esteem for clicks.
24:29So, he's got paid off that.
24:31That's how he makes a living now.
24:33Well, at least he's making a living, Chris.
24:35I mean, he I mean, talk about fighting down.
24:38Yeah, of course I'm talking about the guy that called Lemon.
24:43Yes, obviously.
24:47He's very desperate for attention.
24:48He needs to be on God Show.
24:50Yeah, um, would you ever have him on as a guest?
24:54I don't know.
24:55Would we have Curious?
24:56I don't even think we know what his name is.
24:59Yeah.
25:04Oh, the guy on the guy on the know.
25:06He's done.
25:07I definitely have that guy.
25:15That guy's great and he has an accent.
25:17Yeah.
25:18All right.
25:25That guy would be a perfect host for Fox and friends when they get when they clean house.
25:29Really?
25:32Is that a mental?
25:33No.
25:33Because you said it out loud.
25:35Yes.
25:35All right.
25:36Hollow's advice for black people.
25:41Hell tells blacks no boo.
25:45Checks are coming out soon.
25:47Watch the mail.
25:48Okay.
25:49Okay.
25:50Don't spend it all one day.
25:51Get something you really need.
25:55Okay.
25:56Don't stop by the liquor store.
26:01Buy something for the kids.
26:03Be you them some food.
26:07Wow.
26:08Sometimes I have to stop by the liquor store to I understand.
26:11It's all right.
26:11It's all right.
26:12Cat.
26:13Don't you just love it how she had to add that?
26:15I go to lore too.
26:16I didn't mean you guys are a bunch of drunken black people.
26:20Yeah.
26:22I never do this cuz I feel like it can be like kind of a boring argument, whatever, blah blah blah blah.
26:27But this is just the perfect example that I cannot say of like imagine if a republican did this.
26:33Like truly imagine if this would be wall to wall news like demands for resignation.
26:43Yes.
26:46Imagine that sentence ever needed to be said.
26:49It's right now.
26:49You're absolutely right.
26:52She's kind of like Brie the Michael Scott of governors, right?
26:55Like when she thinks she's being thoughtful, she stereotypes you.
26:58Absolutely.
26:59Yeah.
27:00And she also pointed out too.
27:01I think it was last year when she went to high school.
27:03She goes, do you guys do to a black student?
27:05Don't you know what computer is?
27:07Do anyone know where the computer is?
27:08Yeah.
27:09Of course we do.
27:09But I also you cut it off a little bit early.
27:11I also saw that she told the Italians, don't spend it all on spaghetti.
27:15Told the Germans it's not all about and told the Swedes, don't blow on a futon in Ikea.
27:22Nice.
27:24You know, thank you.
27:25We have to apply for.
27:30Yes, not remarkable.
27:31You get the most spirited trophy, Chris.
27:35Every now and then a liberal tells you what they think and then you realize everything they accuse you of is projection.
27:40One hundred percent.
27:41Where's Al Sharp by the way?
27:43Yeah.
27:43Yes.
27:44Right.
27:44Like if it were anyone else that was a conservative or Republican, like to Kat's point, be all over it.
27:53Resignation, you know, get protesting and but uh she manages to do it a couple times and get away with it so condescending.
28:01It's so offensive, pathetic.
28:04It's why would anyone vote for her?
28:06I don't understand.
28:07Do you know what?
28:08She kind of rose to the top without getting voted, right?
28:10Didn't know, yeah, she got it because scandal and and now everyone's desperate to make the next mayor.
28:15What kind of country are we living in?
28:19It's it's it's New York City.
28:21Yeah.
28:23Uh Brian, you know, uh, uh Michael.
28:27Ouch.
28:27Ouch.
28:31You were great on the block by the way.
28:36As a homeless person assumes you're on the sauce but you're not.
28:40The governor would you be upset if people stereotyped you?
28:43Right.
28:44Sometimes it's crack Greg.
28:50Yeah, my favorite part of this is when she just keeps going, you know, and she doesn't put down the shovel to keeps digging.
28:57I go to the liquor store.
28:58I do.
29:00And then I stop by and get some fried chicken and and then I get my hot sauce out of my purse and I go go.
29:06It's horrible, it's inexcusable, it's hilarious.
29:11Thank you, Kathy.
