00:00A Bursatu youth leader has criticized the party's recently concluded General Assembly,

00:05describing it as a disappointment.

00:07In a Facebook post, Miro Nakyuddin said a General Assembly should outline the party's

00:12aspirations, policies and targets, but this year's meeting only showcased apple-polishing

00:18of leaders.

00:19He said that in 2023, the resolution was for Muhyiddin Yassin to reverse his decision

00:24not to defend his presidency, in 2024, it was for him to remain until GE16, and this

00:29year it was to name him as the Prime Minister candidate.

00:33He questioned Bursatu's focus, saying economic and social concerns, including the cost of

00:38living, were drowned out by a drama-filled resolution.

00:41On Sunday, the Assembly unanimously resolved to nominate Muhyiddin as Prime Minister candidate,

00:46even after a commotion when he revealed attempts to oust him.

00:50Miro asked whether naming Muhyiddin would inspire voters, pointing out Bursatu's poor results

00:55in the 2021 Melaka and 2022 Johor state polls.

00:59He said Bursatu must stop dwelling in the past and quarreling, warning not to let people
