00:00Political analysts believe that the warring factions within Bersatu are now openly at war

00:05as their conflict is no longer hidden behind the scenes.

00:09This follows an open attack by Supreme Council Member Wan Saiful Wan Jan against Party Secretary-General Azmin Ali.

00:16Shahza Shukri of the International Islamic University Malaysia said,

00:20Bersatu's internal situation is worsening,

00:23while Azmi Hassan of Academy Nusantara believes that Party President Muhyiddin Yassin is now seen as failing to control the situation.

00:31Azmi also said,

00:32Muhyiddin's earlier claim that there was a campaign to oust him as president

00:36has triggered a chain of events that has now spiralled out of his control.

00:41Shahza added that Bersatu's open conflict only strengthens PASA's push to take over the Perikatan National Chairmanship for Muhyiddin

00:48and to name a past leader as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the next general election.

00:53Yesterday, Wan Saiful claimed that Azmin and Bersatu Information Chief Tun Faizal Ismail Aziz

00:59had threatened division leaders supposedly linked to a plot to oust Muhyiddin as Party President.
