Tube strikes: Commuter misery as London Underground wiped out by RMT walkout

00:00Commuters across the capital are facing severe disruption as a tube strike has shut down nearly
00:05all London Underground services. No tubes are expected to operate on Monday as a five-day run
00:10of strikes by members of the RMT union, including drivers, signalers and maintenance workers,
00:16kicks in. The action started on Sunday with limited services running but levels of disruption
00:21are ramping up through to Friday. Walkouts are also set to bring the Docklands Light Railway
00:25to a standstill on Tuesday and Thursday. Station closures have also affected the Elizabeth Line
00:31with early morning trains not stopping at Liverpool Street while the DLR was not running
00:35between Bank and Shadwell. The Overground is running but it's expected to be much busier than usual.
