Transcript
00:00Members of the RMT Union are set to walk out from 12pm on Tuesday until 12pm on Wednesday
00:05and again on Thursday at 12 until midday Friday.
00:09Here's how you can beat the strikes.
00:14The RMT Union represents just under half of London Underground drivers
00:18and as only its members are taking strike action,
00:21the disruption is expected to result in severe delays and targeted line closures
00:26rather than a complete city-wide shutdown.
00:28No service is expected on the Circle or Piccadilly lines,
00:32while the Metropolitan line will not run between Baker Street and Aldgate
00:36and the Central line will be suspended between White City and Liverpool Street.
00:40Disruption and reduced services are also expected on the Bakerloo,
00:44Northern, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, District and Victoria lines.
00:51Well, the Elizabeth line, DLR and the entire London Underground will be operating as usual,
00:56but be warned, services will be busier than normal.
01:00National Rail may be a better alternate route.
01:03Thameslink covers parts of central London and other operators offer services to most areas of Greater London.
01:09Buses are also running as usual, but they too will be busy, especially during peak hours.
01:15Use the TFL Go or CityMapper app to track live bus arrivals and disruption.
01:19If you want a more scenic route around London, why not get an e-bike?
01:23Or a slightly more unorthodox option is to commute by boat,
01:27if of course your destination is near the Thames.
01:30Wherever you're heading this week, just be sure to leave extra time to travel.
