00:00The Rail, Maritime and Transport Union's General Secretary Eddie Dempsey has now called on London's
00:11Mayor Sir Sadie Khan to intervene in the current disputes which has left London this week with
00:18virtually no tube services, much to the misery of Londoners. He also said that there has been
00:26a total collapse of industrial relations on London Underground, which is undoubtedly a
00:34concerning statement. Mr Dempsey said that as well as strikes on the tube and DLR disputes
00:42were looming over the pay and conditions of cleaners as well as the future of ticket offices
00:49on the Elizabeth Line. However, Transport London says there are no plans to close ticket offices
00:58despite claims by the RMT that it has uncovered plans to shut them down. We've heard this week
01:06how the RMT has not ruled out further action in the future either. You'll see the effects of the tube
01:13strike is currently causing many of the minor roads here in the more central parts of London,
01:20areas which are heavily reliant on the underground network, have become clogged. Londoners have
01:28largely turned to buses, bicycles, taxis and ride-sharing apps, while the latest figures suggest
01:37the number of people travelling to normally busy districts has fallen by almost a third.
