At a press briefing on Wednesday, Epstein survivors Annie Farmer and Anouska de Gorgiou were asked about Ghislaine Maxwell being moved to a minimum-security prison camp.
Transcript
00:00I wonder if any of the victims could respond to the news from recently about Ghislaine Maxwell
00:04being transferred to a lower security prison in the afternoon.
00:10You want that one?
00:11About her transfer.
00:14I'm happy to speak to that.
00:17We were horrified to learn that she had been transferred to a prison camp.
00:23She is someone who was found guilty by a jury of sex trafficking.
00:28We often hear that she procured women for Jeffrey, which I think is a very polite and minimizing term.
00:36She also participated in the abuse.
00:39She was a major architect of the scheme.
00:42And the fact that she has painted herself as a victim I think is disgusting.
00:45And it was horrifying, I think, to us that we were not told about her prison transfer.
00:50We found out about it in the news.
00:54One minute.
00:54I think Anoushka maybe has mentioned it.
00:56So, Anoushka DiGiorgio, I testified alongside Annie at the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell.
01:03Well, I was horrified when I found out not only had Ghislaine Maxwell been transferred to what's called a low security.
01:14It really is like a holiday camp.
01:18And then afterwards I got a notification from the Department of Justice telling me that this was going to happen.
01:24When it had already happened, this woman abused children.
01:32I was abused by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell for over 10 years.
01:48Ghislaine Maxwell was present for some of my abuse at the hand of Jeffrey Epstein.
01:53She was present, she was complicit, she was enabling, and it is appalling and disgusting.
01:59And it's one of my worst nightmares that she not only be transferred,
02:04but at the possibility that's very much going around that she might be pardoned.
02:08This is not okay, guys.
02:10This is not okay.
02:11And I just want to add that I think it sends a very dangerous message to our country,
02:16to the young people in our country,
02:17that someone that we all know is aware of these crimes could be given a pass.
02:20And just for the last one, but the last one,
