01:21better than that so we'll need to you know need to work on those things and and show it on saturday

01:27and turn around but um you know give tcu credit they came in and did a good job and um they were

01:34clearly a better team tonight you know they deserved to win and uh they did it decisively

01:38um yeah which i mean you said that we got to do a better job of tackling there's no doubt about that

01:43and so we're just gonna have to work harder on it tackle better i mean there's no secret to it

01:48there's no no pill you can take you just gotta you know tackle better fundamentally and get more guys

01:54around the ball so we're not you know so many tackles in space big weekend in the state of florida

02:08the university of miami who beat notre dame on sunday night 27 to 24 carson beck threw 205 yards

02:16in his debut for the hurricanes he also threw two touchdowns head coach mario cristobal of course has

02:23had some issues in the past closing out games and almost couldn't close this one out too as

02:28notre dame came storming back in the fourth but cristobal talking about in the end getting the job done

02:33you know we uh we started well had the the issue with the field goal and then the middle eight

02:38it was awesome course scored at the end of the half scored on the way out and then we stalled you

02:42know and uh big play by the defense getting the turnover ruben returns it we didn't get a touchdown

02:47we settled for a field goal a lot of confidence there carter and uh you know after that i just uh

02:53we all felt that you know in practice he hits him at 55 plus actually hit 263 yarders you know um

03:00so we have a lot of confidence in him we have a lot of confidence to snapper the holder and the guys

03:04protecting so it was uh it's what we practice you know our practice and preparation became game

03:10reality the biggest upset of the weekend in tallahassee number eight alabama visit its doke

03:17campbell stadium 31 to 17 the final alabama was almost 14 point favorites in this game and it was

03:25not close from start to finish looked very much like florida state could be a different team this

03:31year than they were a year ago unfortunately for kaylin deborah when that poll comes out later

03:37today alabama will drop significantly had some opportunities to get back in the game there um

03:43name of the game is that we can't we can't be hesitant early on okay we got to start faster

03:49uh in all ways yes i know we went down and scored first drive piece and plays together uh and and found a

03:57way to put in the end zone uh but just the the the next couple series both sides of the balls ball we

04:03got to do a better job we got to do a better job and um we had opportunities uh there in the second

04:09half um but we gave them life we gave them life we gave them hope and confidence in the first half

04:14there and uh then what it does is it puts you in a spot where you got to be perfect you know you're

04:19playing from behind and uh you got to be perfect and you know the the stress on the guys to make

04:25every play um becomes greater and greater and uh you know i choose to believe we got a good football

04:31team um but you know we can't play on our heels like we're not going to be what we think we can be

04:37uh what we want to be uh if that's the case and the battle of one versus three goes to number three

04:44ohio state takes care of business at home saturday afternoon defeating texas 14 to 7 in the game it was

04:51all the buckeyes defense dominating this one from start to finish arch manning was the heisman

04:58favorite going into the game no longer the case after he was 17 of 30 for just 170 yards

05:04ryan day talked about getting the little things done especially on defense to get the win

05:09you know in week one we can't beat ourselves we wanted to let them beat us and you know for a

05:16first-time starter you just don't want to put them in that situation um you know so hindsight says

05:21we did the right thing but you know you're just you're never too sure um but i thought that the

05:26drive that the offense had there in the first half i think we ate up over eight minutes off the clock

05:30was which was part of the game plan um because you know we wanted to keep you know keep their

05:34offense off the field and then to finish it with that fourth and one was big and then the play by

05:39carnell but you know the story of the game was the defense you know matt i thought put a good game

05:44plan together the coaches put a good game plan together but i just the grittiness of our guys

05:49running around um there's a lot we can build on here a lot we have to improve on the team you see

05:54right now will not even be close to the team you see halfway through the season uh or at the end of

05:59the year but uh it certainly makes the corrections a lot easier to make after a win against you know

06:04a top five opponent like this great environment in clemson south carolina on saturday night but the

06:10end result not as good lsu defeats clemson 17 to 10 to come back to win that game expect lsu to move

06:17way up in the poll this week announcement yesterday pretty big one by the way from

06:22sean mcveigh matthew stafford who didn't play at all in the preseason or practice at all is going to

06:27start this week stafford is back at quarterback for the los angeles rams as they open up coming up

06:32this weekend so good news for them uh on the flip side the packers are being a little cagey with

06:37micah parsons as of right now his status still uncertain he of course did not practice

06:43uh or play at all in the preseason and they're saying that he could play in week one but they're

06:48not entirely sure which is kind of funny that stafford will play but parsons will not okay the

06:54steelers have extended by the way jalen warren they're running back two years 12 million dollars

06:59ahead of their weekend opener so stay tuned for that when they take on of course the new york jets

07:04naji harris cleared for contact good news for him he'll play friday night devon a chain will play for

07:10the dolphins against the colts he's expected to practice this week and also good news for the 49ers

07:14as juan jennings practiced for the first time in more than a month he has a calf issue looking for

07:20a contract extension or a trade by the way as the 49ers get ready to play their first game of the

07:25season the number two quarterback for the giants is still uncertain and it looks like it could be

07:29jackson dart it could be jamis winston brian dable says he'll make his announcement ahead of the game
