📄 Description
A 14in Concrete Saw is a powerful cutting tool designed for slicing through concrete, asphalt, brick, and other masonry materials with speed and precision. Ideal for construction, demolition, and repair projects, it delivers clean, controlled cuts for driveways, sidewalks, slabs, and wall openings.
In this video, we’ll show you how to set up and operate a 14in concrete saw, how to choose the right blade for the job, and techniques for making straight, accurate cuts safely and efficiently.
💡 Pro Tip
Mark your cut lines clearly before starting. Let the blade do the work—avoid forcing the saw. Use water to cool the blade and minimize dust, especially on larger or deeper cuts.
⚠️ Safety Reminder
Wear safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, gloves, and a dust mask or respirator. Keep both hands on the saw at all times. Never cut without securing your work area, and ensure proper ventilation when working indoors.

00:00well welcome back here and today what we have here is a electric concrete saw this is a 14
00:18inch blade on here diamond blade and you would use this saw mostly when you would maybe want
00:24to put in a another opening down down in the basement maybe for a door since it's electric
00:30you won't have the gas to to worry about while you're using it possibly putting in the windows
00:35a lot of times in the you would use it in interior use only because you're not dealing with the fuel
00:42not saying you can't use it outside if you're not comfortable using a gas saw but there is still a
00:49fair bit of weight to one of these saws and it does have a fair bit of kick when you want to use
00:56it you can hook a garden hose up to it for water keep the dust down and you have a normal 115 outlet
01:02just remember that this does kick in and a full 15 amps so have it in a spot where you're no don't
01:10have other things on the circuit make sure you use maybe number 10 or 12 extension cord if you do need
01:15an extension cord and that way you're not getting lost in the cord you do have a reset because you're
01:24gonna have water involved so the reset would trip if there was any kind of short or anything so the
01:30easiest way to use one of these saws is if you're doing a wall don't put it to the wall and start
01:37bringing it up to speed slowly get your saw in your hand get it comfortable pull the trigger and get
01:45your saw going full speed before you start going to use it before you're gonna do cutting and none
01:49of this on and off on and off stuff you want to have the saw at full speed and then when you would
01:54hold it up and get the weight down on your on your lower arm and use your top arm as a kind of a guide
01:59the most common thing is to be twisting in the cut and that's where you start jamming a blade or
02:04possibly damaging the blade by knocking off segments so your primary concern is to get on your cut and move
02:13down and move slowly not saying you can't move upwards as well because you can see your line
02:18maybe a little better but whatever is more comfortable for you to cut with so that you're
02:22not moving the saw on sideways certainly a lot easier if you're going to use it to cut on a floor
02:29or maybe you're putting in a second bathroom and you want to run lines for the your drain pipes and
02:36everything for the shower or for the bathroom or maybe running along you're redoing the lines in
02:42the in the floor over to the the exterior of the house for for the sewer so in this case usually best
02:50to keep this arm straight the left arm have the trigger on bring it down into the cut and then move
02:55yourself backwards slowly and usually start out here move back and then you would move and then move
03:02back but try and keep your left arm straight try to keep this this type of action is what you don't
03:07want and if you're moving the trigger on and off they do have some torque to them so when you first
03:12turn it on be prepared it'll probably want to do a little that on you a little bit of a twist because
03:16of the torque in the in the motor that's why you bring it up to full speed and then you'll get past
03:22that motion and then it's easy to go down and do your cut and the water will keep the dust down and you can
03:27make a make a nice cut and go all the way down to the depth you want don't make a little cut and then
03:34a little cut and a little cut sink it down all the way down and then move the whole cut all the way
03:40across you'll be have a a lot better experience than trying to go back and forth and follow your
03:45line over and over again okay so there's a there's a tool it takes a little more to use a little more to
03:51get used to but if you're going to do that second bathroom job and you do want to cut lines or you
03:57do want to put in that that extra door maybe make a fruit cellar or something down in your basement
04:01this is the tool that you may come across and want to try so good luck with your projects
04:07this will help hopefully make it a good one and don't forget to subscribe
