00:00You always feel better after half a night's sleep, quarter of a night's sleep, I can't figure it out, but it's the morning after deadline day, which went right to the very deadline and well beyond for Hibs, and obviously the headline was missing out on Lyndon Dykes over, it seems to be Birmingham's demands that Hibs pay a fair old chunk of his massive wages.
00:30But let's take a look at the transfer window as a whole for Hibs, they did a lot of their business early, they broke the club record to bring in Thiebaud Cleeje, they signed a couple of absolute obvious good and right from the start, Josh Mulligan, Miguel Chaiwa, Jamie McGrath when fit, has looked outstanding, already scored in Europe.
00:56So I think as a whole, I can see why a lot of people feel that Hibs have probably been, if not the best, then one of the best teams in this transfer market.
01:10It's been very active, very proactive, and they say they've brought in quality players, I think Chaiwa already looks a superstar, young, hungry, goal forward, good on the ball, scores a goal the other night as well.
01:26Josh Mulligan is potentially, I put my hands up on that one, when they signed Josh Mulligan, just having seen him at Dundee last year, I was like, yeah, I can see that makes sense.
01:37He's, he's a perfect fit for the Hibs team, so hats off to David Gray and his scouting team for just spotting how he would fit in.
01:48Overall, I think Cleeje looks as if he's got the potential to be a proper striker.
01:53The issue with not getting Dykes, of course, is that Cleeje will have to be now, because it's pretty much Bowie and Boyle was your first choice, Cleeje competing in there.
02:01Eli Yuan, who's still at the club, although there are transfer windows open elsewhere.
02:06I don't know if you could let him go now, because you probably need four competing for two up there.
02:12So, yeah, it's going to be interesting to see if it pans out, and it's always, you know, you can make a snap judgment on September 2nd, is that the date?
02:24And say, oh, this team's done well, that team's done well, and you just never know how some of the signings are going to pan out.
02:30Because I think everyone could say that Celtic have done better than, no, sorry, Hibs have done better than Celtic, rather.
02:40I was trying to find a way of comparing them. I think everyone's done better than Celtic at the moment.
02:46Hibs could probably feel pretty pleased. I think just getting Dykes in would have been the, not the cherry on top, it would have been just that, it would have been a transformative signing.
02:53It would have given you another full Scotland international to compete and contend and change games up front.
03:02But overall, I think Hibs have got out of the window what they wanted. Would they have liked one more? Yes.
03:08Would they have liked to send another one or two out? Probably, yes.
03:11But Malcolm Mackay spent a lot of the summer just convincing guys to move on rather than seeing out their contracts.
03:18So, you can't complain about that either.
03:21Into the international break now.
03:23Plenty of time to mull over who did what, who didn't do what, how it's all going to pan out.
03:29And then we'll be back for Dundee United at home.
03:34God, it seems like forever away, but it'll bounce up on us.
03:38Hopefully, hopefully with Kieran Bowie having contributed and potentially scored for Scotland in a couple of famous World Cup wins, that would be brilliant.
03:50Don't think he's going to start. I think we can all argue that he should start.
03:54I think Che Adams is probably going to start that one.
03:57Certainly the first one, but listen, Steve Clark, don't second guess him.
04:01We're not allowed to.
04:03Right. I'm going to go have a nap.
04:06See you all soon.
