00:00Hello there welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Well
00:03we end summer on a fairly unsettled note across the UK with low pressure
00:08firmly in charge. Note the tightly packed isobars initially across the
00:12country bringing some windy conditions especially towards the west and really as
00:17we go through the next few days we'll see further areas of low pressure moving
00:21maintaining this unsettled theme with most of us seeing some further rain at
00:25times. So back to this afternoon and really it's a mixture of sunshine and
00:30scattered showers out there. Some of these showers will be quite heavy
00:32potentially thundery in places and towards the end of the afternoon they
00:36might start to merge across parts of Northern Ireland to give a longer spell
00:40of rain here. Quite windy too across the west could see some gales across Irish
00:45sea coast so if you are heading in that direction do take some extra care but in
00:49the sunnier moments across the east still feeling fairly warm out there we could
00:53see highs reaching 22 or 23 degrees in places. So into the evening hours actually a
01:00lot of the showers across the east and central areas fading away giving some
01:04clear skies here but out towards the west the showers will continue to pile in and
01:08will begin to merge into a longer spell of rain later on across Scotland. Could see
01:12some heavy rain developing for a time here could give some fairly poor driving
01:15conditions so do take note if you are planning some early journeys across
01:20Scotland during Monday morning. But for most of us it's gonna be a fairly mild
01:24night for the time of year most hands and cities staying in double figures. So we
01:29do start Monday off with some sunshine down towards the southeast but it won't
01:33last. Cloud will bubble up here as the showers across the west become quite
01:36widespread across the UK. Still got that band of heavy rain initially across
01:40Scotland but that will also ease away and really come the afternoon most of us
01:44seeing that mix of sunshine and showers. Again some of them will be quite heavy
01:47potentially thundery with a risk of hell but there's still be enough of a breeze
01:52to blow them through fairly quickly so the showers won't last long in any one
01:57place and that will be quickly replaced by some sunshine again. And in the brighter
02:02moments actually temperatures reaching the low 20s in places. Really that theme
02:07will continue as we go through the course of the week remaining unsettled as we
02:11start autumn but you can find out more about that on our social media pages but
02:15from me for now take care and I'll see you again soon.
