00:00Hello, good morning. I'm Marco Pitania. Here's your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:04We'll see an east-west split in our weather across the UK during the day today. Outbreaks
00:08of rain working their way north across many eastern areas, some of that rain turning quite
00:11heavy at times. It could brighten up briefly towards the far southeast, but that will also
00:15send off some heavy locally thundery showers. And during the afternoon, the rain will reach
00:19the east of Scotland, whereas towards the west and eventually down across many southern
00:23parts of the UK, we'll see some brighter skies coupled with a scattering of showers. And
00:27once again, one or two of those showers, particularly out towards the west, could be
00:30on the heavy side. Temperatures are struggling once again for the time of year. Highs no
00:35better than 12 or 13 Celsius, perhaps locally 14 at best towards the south and southeast.
00:40That's 57 in Fahrenheit. But where we've got the wind and the rain towards the northeast,
00:43it will be quite a blustery day here. Temperatures no better than 8 or 9 Celsius. Into the evening
00:49and during the overnight period, those outbreaks of rain will gradually start to pull away
00:52towards the northeast, although affecting the far northeast of Scotland right through
00:56the night into the early hours of Monday. Elsewhere, notice some clearer spells developing
00:59for a time, but further showers will work in from the west, some of those showers merging
01:03to longer spells of rain later. And again, some of those showers could turn quite heavy
01:07by Monday morning. Under the clearest slots towards the east and northeast there, it will
01:11turn quite chilly, especially in rural spots where we could see a touch of frost by Monday
01:15morning. But town and city temperatures generally holding up in the range of 3 to 7 Celsius.
01:20As for Monday, well once again there'll be an east-west split in our weather, but this
01:24time it will be the east and southeast seeing the best of the conditions. Here, plenty of
01:28bright weather around. Whereas out towards the north and west, lots of showers moving
01:31in and again some of those showers merging to give some longer spells of rain at times.
01:35Although notice it will be a milder day than it's been in recent days. Highs towards the
01:39north and northwest of 12 to 14 Celsius. Up to 15 or 16 towards the southeast. 16 is 61
01:45in Fahrenheit. That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met
01:49Office forecast by following us on social media and also by subscribing to our YouTube
01:53channel. I'll see you soon, take care for now, bye bye.
