00:00When we moved into our home a little over six years ago now we instantly
00:05inherited all of these barn cats. We've truly fallen in love with all of our new
00:09barn cats over the years and slowly it seemed that some of them wanted to come
00:14inside so we just kind of let them. We had never owned cats before this but we
00:19quickly realized that they would not only be happier but also much healthier
00:23and safer being indoors. So we've spent the past six years or so working towards
00:29this goal. When it came to our more feral cats that were more standoffish we
00:36would slowly start to encourage them to come over to the front door. One of our
00:42most hesitant kitties to come inside was our cat Macy Moo and when Macy used to
00:47live outside he allowed us to pet him just very briefly but other than that we
00:52couldn't really handle him so we knew that he would have to make the choice to
00:56come inside on his own. We eventually propped the door open and he made his
01:02way inside.
01:09Macy has allowed us to completely handle him. We can pick him up. He actually loves
01:15belly rubs. He's one of our most roly-poly kitties that we have and he just
01:20absolutely loves being inside.
01:26We are going to be building them a catio this coming spring so that they will
01:32have access to the outdoors in a safer manner.
