00:02The very first day we moved into our new house, we met this cat.

00:07He loves his race. Look at that.

00:10If he doesn't see my husband, he goes and sits in front of that door and he'll wait.

00:16Is he waking up?

00:19This happened every single morning.

00:22We didn't know if he was a stray or if he belonged to somebody.

00:25Then he would disappear.

00:27Hi!

00:28This went on for a couple of months.

00:31Good morning!

00:33We finally met the neighbor.

00:35We asked them, hey, do you know whose cat this is?

00:37And they were like, well, he's our daughter's cat.

00:39We told him about everything that was going on.

00:42It's a Florida panther.

00:44We had exchanged numbers and I would text them and say, can Frank stay the night with us?

00:49They were like, sure, that's fine.

00:51Frank's spending the night.

00:53He gets stuck in the rain, so he's spending the night with us.

00:56So that ended up being the routine.

00:59It's a nightly ritual now that we text each other to say, Frank's here.

01:07He's spending the night.

01:09We were grieving pretty hard.

01:12I think Frank had picked up on that.

01:15Right before I met Frank, I had lost my father, stepfather, and my service dog all within a few weeks.

01:22That made a cat scarf.

01:25He really helped us through probably the darkest time in our lives.

01:31Look at him looking at you, babe.

01:35We look forward to waking up every morning because we're ready to see him.
