00:00Have a look at this cheeky marketing at the Motor Show for the Mustang GTD.
00:04The top part translated says, don't let tariffs steal your dreams.
00:08G'day, I'm Paul. We're at the Shanghai Motor Show.
00:10Sorry, I'm in my Formula tie. We did a live cross for telly back home.
00:14I'm going to take you through the Motor Show today to give you an idea of the scale of the Chinese car market
00:20and some of the stuff we do have coming to Australia.
00:22Just as a high level, China sells over 30 million new cars a year, just here domestically.
00:26There's 150 car brands, so it is a mammoth, mammoth car market.
00:31And I'll take you inside, run you through some of the cool stuff that's here,
00:34some of the brands you've never heard of that might come to Australia.
00:37And probably one that I'm a bit excited about is a plug-in hybrid dual-cab ute from Nissan
00:41that could be the next Novara, so we'll go check that out as well.
00:44There are chapters below if you do want to skip ahead to other parts of the video
00:46because this is going to be a bit of a long one.
00:48So let's go inside and see what it's all about.
00:50Okay, so we're inside the Motor Show now.
00:57This is all going to be a bit ad hoc.
00:58I'm going to run you through as much as I can, so bear with me.
01:02But remember, you can skip ahead if you want to.
01:04I thought we'd start at the GWM stand because, have a look at this,
01:07you don't hear this happening all that often.
01:09A brand launching a new V8 engine.
01:12Have a look at it.
01:13So, a 4-litre V8.
01:14They haven't really talked about specs or outputs,
01:16but this is going to be mated to plug-in hybrid drivetrain
01:19and potentially will just sit on its own in a vehicle.
01:22And have a look at the concept car they've released for this.
01:26So, it's a Tank 300.
01:27It's called the Hook.
01:28But live front axle.
01:30They've got the V8 wedged under there.
01:32It looks absolutely unreal.
01:34And we spoke with a bloke that's basically...
01:36Don't worry, they're not clapping for me.
01:38A bloke that's basically in charge of right-hand drive development for GWM.
01:43And what he said is that this engine might be rolled out
01:45to a number of different vehicles in their range.
01:48So, this is a 300 concept, but they're talking about 500, 700.
01:52They're also talking about developing a bigger ute than the Canon Alpha
01:55to take on stuff like F-150.
01:57So, this would be the perfect engine for that.
01:59They want to mate it with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain as well
02:01to give it that extra kick that it needs.
02:03And this looks like a serious off-roader.
02:04I mean, you look at that axle.
02:06That is insane.
02:07It's got a front diff there.
02:08You've got the V8 wedged in underneath that as well.
02:10Like, it is an absolute beast of a thing.
02:13So, I cannot wait to drive that.
02:14And I hope it sounds good as well, because that is going to be the important part.
02:18Okay, so, outside of V8 for this special edition here, GWM is a brand.
02:23When you look at what we get in Australia,
02:25it is a small snippet of what's available for the Chinese market.
02:29They have stuff I've never heard or seen here on the stand.
02:32So, brands like Way, which is like a subdivision.
02:34They have different four-wheel drives with just crazy off-road accessories.
02:37So, there's a lot of stuff that we don't get in Australia that they have here on the Chinese market.
02:42One of the things they're doing here as well is looking at how they can evolve plug-in hybrid technology.
02:47So, I'll show you a new setup they have that removes the driveline,
02:51which is one of their big advantages when it comes to off-road.
02:53Now, this is something else that's interesting.
02:55So, this is basically a move away from the existing technology that GWM uses with its hybrids,
03:02with a sort of drivetrain that would normally run from an internal combustion engine
03:06to a standard differential, but have an electric motor in between.
03:10This is more akin to what we see in the BYD Shark,
03:13where you've got an internal combustion engine and then a set of electric motors,
03:16but no driveline between the middle.
03:19And that allows you to have a battery in the centre.
03:21So, it means you're moving the battery away from the rear of the vehicle,
03:24and that is something that can affect performance characteristics as well.
03:27So, it'll be interesting to see if this takes off.
03:29We have spoken to them about whether they'll implement this in stuff like dual-cab utes,
03:35and they're confident that if they do,
03:37they won't market it as being off-road capable like they do in the Shark,
03:40which, as we know, isn't entirely off-road capable.
03:43Okay, so you've seen V8 for Tank 300.
03:46This is, I think, pretty much coming to Australia.
03:48It's called the Tank 400.
03:50Have a look at some of the accessories on it.
03:51So, it's got a big roof pod there.
03:52You've got a ladder on the side here, these meaty wheel arches as well.
03:56And, Sean, if you jump around over there, I'll show you what the inside looks like.
03:59You've got side steps that fold out on the side.
04:02Have a look at this screen.
04:03That is absolutely enormous.
04:04So, GWM's talked about a new, I think they've called it Coffee Intelligence,
04:09bit of a funny name, but it's basically a new infotainment system
04:12and operating system for them.
04:14And, I mean, you look at this.
04:16Again, I kind of always talk about this when we talk about Chinese cars for the Australian market.
04:20You are getting so much value for money when you look at this interior.
04:24It is like high-end luxury, but won't come with a high-end luxury price tag.
04:27Okay, so this is the NIO stem.
04:29These guys are basically the masters of battery swapping.
04:32And, I don't know, when I think about EV charging and the challenges there,
04:35you've got to wait for it to charge.
04:36This kind of solves that.
04:38You can roll into what is an existing petrol station,
04:40have a battery swapped out, have a new one put in there.
04:42Only challenge with it is that you might be getting someone's old battery
04:45and given it's a commodity, it's quite expensive.
04:48But have a look at this over here.
04:49This is, what are we, the ET7.
04:53So, LiDAR, big news over here in China.
04:55And this is the technology that we don't really get in Australia,
04:58but really gives you better vision on the road.
05:01It does a 3D scan of what's happening out there.
05:03So, they combine LiDAR with radar and it gives you ultimate visibility over the road
05:07and enables things like autonomous driving for the future.
05:10This is an executive edition.
05:12So, you can see here the seats have been pushed all the way forward.
05:14Have a look at how much room you have in the back row there.
05:17That is just insane.
05:18Let me open that for you, Sean.
05:20So, you can literally hop in here and just kick back and relax.
05:24Two big screens there as well.
05:27Panoramic roof too.
05:28So, very nice setup.
05:30But I'll show you how the battery swapping tech works.
05:32They've got a demo just over here.
05:34Okay.
05:34So, here's a demo of the battery swapping.
05:37It's not on at the moment, but we'll overlay some footage of it actually working.
05:40It's quite an intuitive setup because all you'll do is pull into, you know, a garage like this.
05:45And then beneath the vehicle, you basically have this whole automated system that comes up,
05:49takes your existing battery out.
05:51Here we go.
05:52It's going in action.
05:54So, it'll come up, take the existing battery out.
05:56It will take that battery away to do a health check.
05:59So, it basically makes sure that your battery is still okay.
06:01And then it swaps in a fully charged battery.
06:03So, you can see there it's positioning the car so that it's perfectly where it needs to be.
06:07And you can see the battery now coming up.
06:10I mean, this stuff is incredible to see.
06:14Okay.
06:14So, actually, it's pulling out the old battery.
06:16So, here it comes now.
06:18Oh, this is so cool.
06:21You can actually see some rams just there lifting the car up.
06:24It must be basically undoing the battery as we speak.
06:27Quite interesting because they must have to have a second battery source in there while
06:32this one's getting taken out.
06:33Look at that.
06:36So, these batteries can weigh 500 or more kilos.
06:39So, there's a lot of work there involved.
06:41You can actually see the underside of the vehicle and where that battery's exposed.
06:44So, that's taking the old battery away now.
06:48And it's able to do a health check while the battery's gone.
06:50Swaps in a new charged battery for you.
06:52And the whole process takes just minutes.
06:54It means you don't need to sit there waiting for the vehicle to charge.
06:57And away you go.
06:58So, pretty unreal.
07:04Now, the other thing I'll mention just quietly about the cars.
07:06Well, not about the cars, actually.
07:07Is everyone watching us?
07:09It's like a cast of thousands there.
07:13Anyway.
07:17Okay.
07:18So, this is probably the thing I'm most excited about, being a dual-cab man.
07:21This is basically an update.
07:23It's the Frontier Pro.
07:25And what this is basically signaling from Nissan is a move to plug-in hybrid.
07:29So, this has a prototype plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
07:32I'll show you the sort of rolling model over there in just a second.
07:35But let's have a look at this first.
07:36Nissan has also said that they're basically planning on moving Frontier and Navara to a separate platform that they will share.
07:42And it means that you can put internal combustion engines like this that have plug-in hybrid capabilities
07:48or some of the bigger V6 engines that they get out of the States in a vehicle like this that could wear a Navara badge one day.
07:55Love the design of this.
07:56It really has that rugged look to it.
07:57Full LED light bar across the front there.
07:59Big all-terrain tyres.
08:00Keeping in mind that this is obviously a concept car.
08:03But, Sean, co-runs the passenger side.
08:04I'll crack this open.
08:06Sidesteps that fold down.
08:08And then have a look at this interior.
08:09This is really cool.
08:10So, basically, with this interior, they've gone to town on, I guess, giving this a luxury vibe to it.
08:15If you have a look at what the Frontier looks like at the moment in the States, this is a bit basic inside.
08:19Same story with Navara.
08:20So, this will hopefully signal a direction for these guys, moving to a bit more premium interior setups.
08:26We understand that the next Navara is going to share components with the Triton.
08:30So, we're not really sure yet how that's going to work in terms of this new platform they're talking about.
08:35Is it the Triton platform that will have Frontier and Navara?
08:38We don't know.
08:39So, it's all still TBC, but I'd definitely like a look at this.
08:43Yeah, the other interesting thing as well is that the infotainment screens, now that we've got them on, look like a BYD infotainment system.
08:50It's really interesting.
08:51So, obviously, the screen doesn't rotate, but it's really familiar to what I've seen in BYD products, including this screen ahead of the driver.
08:58On a positive note, though, it does have front and rear diff locks, so it is a pretty decent setup for off-road driving.
09:04Look at the back as well.
09:06They've got a cool setup with the tray.
09:07I understand this is obviously a concept car, but around the back here, that LED light bar stretches along the rear with Nissan logo there and then LED taillights.
09:17But have a look at this.
09:19So, this folds down and then a step pops out of here so that you can get stuff out.
09:23And then you have a separate button on the side here that then pulls it all up with spray-in bed liner there as well.
09:29So, pretty cool looking setup.
09:30So, this is the Frontier Pro, effectively the concept plug-in hybrid car.
09:35Let's have a look at the rolling chassis and we'll just see what this will look like in practice.
09:39Now, having a look at what this looks like.
09:41So, four-cylinder engine up the front there.
09:43Traditional driveline, so very different to BYD Shark where you basically have internal combustion engine and then two electric motors.
09:50This has a traditional driveline, as we've seen with the Canon Alpha plug-in hybrid.
09:54That gives you the ability to retain stuff like low-range transfer case, front rear diff locks.
09:59Gives you far more capability off-road.
10:01So, independent front suspension with sway bar down there.
10:04And then as you move further toward the back, this is where they've located the battery.
10:08This is probably a little superior to the Canon plug-in hybrid because the Canon plug-in hybrid have kind of lumped the battery at the rear.
10:16So, it gives you an extra moment of momentum, effectively, when this is at the back and you're doing things like higher-speed cornering.
10:23Probably not an issue for a dual-cab ute, but having it more central will help.
10:27This is higher, though.
10:28So, you do have a higher center of gravity, which is going to affect the way the car performs.
10:32It probably won't be the end of the world.
10:33Coil sprung rear end, so similar to what you already see on the Navara.
10:37It is interesting that they've retained the dampers inboard of the chassis rails.
10:41We've seen Ford-Toyota move to shifting those out for performance benefits, but it doesn't seem like there's enough clearance there to make that happen.
10:49And live axle at the rear, which is sort of pretty straightforward.
10:52Fuel tank nestled in over here as well.
10:53So, let's talk about the internal combustion engine.
10:55Four-cylinder gasoline, so petrol engine, one and a half litre.
10:58So, it matches the BYD Shark in terms of the internal combustion component.
11:02But they're talking about a combined power and torque output of over 220 kilowatts and around 800 newton metres.
11:08So, that is going to be an absolute whopper of a setup, and it will probably mean that they wedge the electric motor up the front here between the engine and the transmission.
11:16At the back, the battery capacity, around 33 kilowatt hours.
11:19So, pretty big battery, and that's going to mean decent driving range of over 100 k's and vehicle-to-load capability as well.
11:25Really interesting platform choice they've gone with here, and I think this will signal where the brand's going to head with stuff like Triton as well.
11:32So, it's still a bit unclear to us what Mitsubishi's going to do, because they have some pretty decent plug-in hybrid technology that is different to this.
11:39So, whether these guys are forging their own path and will share it with Mitsubishi, or whether they'll retain this for Frontier and Navara, we don't know.
11:46But pretty cool to see that they are working on this and making a go at a system that is actually going to work off-road as well.
11:53Okay, from Nissan to BYD.
11:55This is a brand that is doing really well in Australia, and this is something that I'm excited for.
11:59It's called the C-Line 5.
12:01So, it's basically an Atto 3 SUV, priced from here in China.
12:06So, obviously, different pricing to Australia, from $25,000.
12:09It is so cheap.
12:11They're going to launch with two rear-wheel drive options, 50 and 60 kilowatt-hour batteries.
12:15Looks bloody good as well.
12:16So, jump around here, Sean.
12:18We'll have a little sticky inside.
12:20Ah, that looks nice.
12:21So, basically, this just looks like a slightly more premium sort of interior to Atto 3 dial there for temperature.
12:30Oh, that's interesting.
12:30So, temperature dial does plus or minus.
12:33So, you can go, I want it to be warmer by three degrees or colder by a couple of degrees, and then you can actually set individual temperatures as well.
12:41There you go.
12:42That's interesting, but pretty decent-looking car.
12:44Let's have a look at the second row.
12:45So, yeah, look, I mean, it's not huge, but this is going to be targeted to people who want a sort of smaller-sized SUV.
12:53Let's have a look at the boot as well.
12:56Let's see what that looks like.
13:01Oh, that's pretty reasonable.
13:02So, rear-wheel drive.
13:04Yeah, they still have storage under there as well.
13:07I'll show you what the back looks like too.
13:09So, they've got an LED light panel that kind of just runs from the side all the way around here.
13:14This will feature BYD's God's Eye autonomous driving system.
13:18So, that will be part of the package, and it appears here.
13:20They've got, yeah, a reverse camera down there and a digital rear-view camera as well.
13:24So, pretty decent setup.
13:26I'll show you around some of the other cars here on the BYD stand.
13:28Now, in terms of other stuff here at the BYD stand, it's all sort of stuff we've seen before in Australia.
13:34The cheaper Dolphin over there as well, but I thought this was fascinating.
13:36It's a roof pod that has a drone in it.
13:39So, you can basically deploy a drone from here, and it can follow you around, which I think is just such fascinating stuff.
13:46So, neatly integrated there.
13:48There is something absolutely wacky over here, though.
13:51So, it's basically, there's a game, and they created a limited edition version of a car here based on the game.
13:59And when I saw it, I thought, holy moly, surely no one's going to buy that.
14:02But have a look at this.
14:05It is insane.
14:06It is insane, isn't it?
14:07So, the Black Myth Wukong, who Cheng, our developer, is here with us today, has told me is a game.
14:16And this is basically a limited edition version of a car for the game.
14:20I don't know how you'd go driving this on the road, but this comes fitted with LiDAR up the top there.
14:25And pretty standard-looking interior, but just with all these dragon elements all over the car.
14:31So, it's pretty cool.
14:32What we're going to do now, though, is go to Yang Wang, where they've just released what can only be described as the Chinese Rolls-Royce Culloden.
14:40So, let's go have a look at it.
14:42Okay, so we're on our way to Yang Wang, but then we found this.
14:44So, this is the Leopard 5 and the Leopard 8.
14:47Now, these are important because whenever we post stuff about the BYD Shark and its sort of deficiencies off-road, people talk about these cars.
14:54And that's because these have a similar drivetrain setup where you have an internal combustion engine and two electric motors.
15:00But, come around here, Sean, you jump in the driver's side.
15:03I'll jump in this side.
15:04Have a look at this interior.
15:06So, big infotainment screen, passenger display here as well.
15:09But, importantly, front and rear diff locks.
15:12So, this is going to get you where you need to go, plus low range.
15:15And I don't know how the low range works here, but you've got really a number of options here to go proper off-roading.
15:21So, hopefully, they can fit stuff like this to Shark because this will completely fix the issues that that has when it comes to off-road driving.
15:28Because this has no driveline that runs down the centre.
15:30So, this is all operated through a similar sort of DMO setup there that the Shark is running.
15:35So, very cool to see these and super luxury inside.
15:39Like, it is proper sort of workhorse material.
15:43391km an hour is what this thing can do.
15:46So, this is the Yangwang U9.
15:48So, Yangwang is like a luxury supercar arm of BYD.
15:52Look at the size of that wing, all made out of carbon fibre.
15:54I saw one of these on the street yesterday.
15:55It looks so cool.
15:57Independent wheel control as well.
15:58So, it can basically jump over potholes.
16:00It is a ridiculous car.
16:02But what I want to show you is this thing over here.
16:04This is basically the Chinese Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
16:07This is the U8.
16:08But then they've got the U8L, which they've just announced.
16:12Look at this.
16:13This is ultimate luxury.
16:15It's capable of being submersed as well.
16:17So, it's basically watertight for a set period.
16:20LiDAR up the top.
16:20This weighs over 3,000 kilos.
16:23But it is monstrously quick.
16:25Have a look at this interior.
16:26I mean, this is on another planet altogether.
16:30You've got these soft headrests, beautiful seats.
16:33There's sort of wood grain down the centre.
16:35It is a pretty impressive place to be set.
16:37It's four electric motors you've got on the go here.
16:40To zero to 100 in just over three seconds.
16:43For a car that weighs like over three and a half tonnes.
16:45That is some serious mumbo.
16:47Have a look at the second row, Sean.
16:49Look at that.
16:49Reclining seats.
16:51So, you can kick those back if you want to.
16:53Yeah, pretty cool.
16:54So, let's go have a look at the U8L.
16:56We can only see it on the outside.
16:57But this grows even bigger than this thing.
17:00So, here is the U8L.
17:01So, this grows in size.
17:02The wheelbase is an extra 200 mil.
17:04So, we've got even more room inside.
17:07The badges made out of 24 karat gold.
17:10So, come around to the back with me, Sean.
17:12Look at the size of it.
17:13It is absolutely enormous.
17:16And, like, I mean, yeah.
17:18I'm kind of lost for words because it is huge.
17:20So, these badges here made of real 24 karat gold, which is crazy.
17:25In terms of pricing, we don't know how much this costs.
17:28It probably isn't going to come to Australia.
17:29But the standard version of this, the non-L, is priced at over $150,000 US dollars.
17:34So, if you convert that, that's, like, well over 200 grand.
17:37The L version is going to be even more expensive.
17:39So, if it does come to Australia, it's going to be, like, a $300,000 car.
17:43But, given Rolls-Royce is charging, like, a million dollars for a Cullinan before options,
17:47kind of seems like a pretty good deal to me.
17:50Now, kind of CATL outclassed BYD because BYD announced this first.
17:55But, this is still quite impressive.
17:57So, 400 kilometres of range in five minutes.
18:00And this is out of a megawatt charger.
18:02And, again, I just can't emphasise enough.
18:04A megawatt charger, 1,000 kilowatts.
18:07It is so much power.
18:08But they're basically about to put that into production,
18:10which means that it will just be accessible to regular people,
18:13which I think is pretty incredible stuff.
18:15And it's this type of thing here that's going to really remove a lot of the negatives
18:19to an electric vehicle in terms of accessibility and being able to drive it.
18:23But, you know, getting a megawatt charger in a city is going to be hard work
18:27if you want to try and roll it out on a big scale in Australia.
18:30So, Toyota time.
18:32We kind of, if you have a look at these shows in general,
18:35Mercedes-Benz, not really a huge stand.
18:38Toyota.
18:39Look at the size of Toyota as a global company.
18:40Not really a huge stand either.
18:42So, it's kind of interesting to see when you go to a European motor show,
18:45like a company like Toyota or Mercedes-Benz would have an enormous stand.
18:48But here, kind of less relevant.
18:49But I thought this was pretty cool.
18:50So, it's a Land Cruiser Prado.
18:52This is the Active Concept.
18:54So, basically, this is a hybrid here in China.
18:57So, we don't get the hybrid in Australia.
18:59But look at that roof pod with the big driving lights.
19:01It has a massive set of all-terrains on it with these pretty cool-looking wheels.
19:05Sean, if you jump over to the inside, I'll show you what that looks like.
19:08They've made some design changes.
19:10So, you've basically got this blue interior with orange highlights.
19:14Really sort of nice-looking setup.
19:16Alcantara sort of center there with Active Concept on the headrest.
19:20So, perhaps this is like a luxury off-road sort of thing they're looking to launch.
19:24But I like the look of it.
19:25I think it'll do well in Australia.
19:26I'll take you to the back so you can have a look at this ladder.
19:29So, around the rear, this ladder takes you onto the roof.
19:31But it's interesting because the ladder actually moves with the tailgate.
19:35So, it won't open for me.
19:36But yesterday, this tailgate was up and the ladder basically moves with it on that hinge up the top.
19:41So, it can stay down the entire time.
19:44So, yeah, pretty cool setup.
19:45So, let me know what you reckon about that.
19:46We're going to go over and see an electric car they revealed for the Chinese market.
19:51So, this is the BZ7.
19:52So, I'm going to have to talk loud here because everyone else is talking loud.
19:54So, this is an all-electric car.
19:57It's a joint venture between Toyota and GAC Toyota here in China.
20:01And it's basically running a new version of Huawei's operating system.
20:04It's interesting because Toyota has been kind of led kicking and screaming into electric cars.
20:08We're about to see the new ES, which is basically fully electric along with hybrid.
20:13But this looks great.
20:15They had a concept version of this at the Shanghai Show last year.
20:18Whereas, this is basically a production version.
20:21Super high-end and luxury.
20:22Looks fantastic inside.
20:24But funnily enough, looks nothing like a Toyota.
20:27So, yeah, really cool design.
20:30It looks absolutely stunning.
20:31I'd love to see this in Australia.
20:32But just out of interest, they've got other stuff here at the show that we don't see in Australia.
20:37There's even this really cool version of the BZ5, which is like an off-road adventuring concept with massive all-terrain tires.
20:43We've got the BZ3.
20:45This one has LiDAR fitted to it, though.
20:47So, it is just interesting to see that they have so many cars that we don't get and probably never will get in Australia.
20:53These are just Chinese market cars.
20:55Lexus has revealed a new version of the ES.
20:59If we come around to the front of it.
21:00This guy's making sure it's very clean.
21:03Even though no one's allowed to touch it.
21:04This basically has styling cues from new Camry.
21:07And the fascinating thing here is they've launched a full electric version of this with either a single motor or dual electric motor setup.
21:14In addition to that, a hybrid setup.
21:16So, similar to what we already have in Australia.
21:17This has moved into even bigger territory.
21:20So, it's now a bigger vehicle than the Camry itself.
21:22So, it's so fascinating to see that Toyota just moves through all these different platforms and creates new variants for countries like China.
21:30But this will eventually be coming to Australia.
21:32So, I'm excited to have a drive of this because I'm a big fan of the current ES.
21:34In terms of other stuff at the stand, they've got an old version of the LS.
21:38My brother actually used to have one of these and they're such a cool car.
21:41They actually had, when they launched this, it was like the, I don't remember what it was called, like a coin challenge or something.
21:46But you could basically balance a coin on the engine while it was revving up to a certain RPM just to sort of demonstrate how smooth it was.
21:53So, good to see they've got a version of that car here.
21:56This is the first concept of it.
21:57So, it's not actually a real car.
21:59It's got the whole sort of interior blacked out.
22:01It's probably a clay model or something like that.
22:03Have a look at this over here.
22:05So, this is the Crown SUV.
22:07This is a GRMN version of it.
22:09So, like a sporty version.
22:11Crown, we don't get in Australia.
22:12But again, I think this would do really well.
22:14High-end, luxury, exclusive, you know, all that sort of good stuff.
22:18And it looks so cool, especially in that green colour there.
22:21So, yeah, some cool stuff here at the Lexus stand.
22:23But let's move on.
22:24I think she's instructing him on how to behave.
22:31Freeze.
22:41It's creepy.
22:42So, Lincoln Co.
22:43It's a brand you've probably never heard of.
22:45But it is coming to Australia.
22:46It will be branded Zika when it gets to Australia.
22:48It's basically hybrid, plug-in hybrid cars.
22:51It's one of the ones that's coming, the 9.
22:53Have a look at the technology inside.
22:55So, you know how normally I sort of complain a bit about passenger displays being a bit useless?
23:00Have a look at where this one is.
23:01It's located up the top there in the visor.
23:05Which is crazy stuff.
23:06But this interior might look familiar to you with Zika.
23:09Basically, the parent company, Geely, has Volvo, Polestar, Zika, Lincoln Co., and a stack of other brands.
23:16It's just the influx of cars we have coming.
23:18Have a look at this big one over here, though.
23:20So, this is another plug-in hybrid.
23:22This is called the 900.
23:24The size of the screen in the second row is crazy, too.
23:26Plus, there's a little cat on the display just down here.
23:30So, that's all like a pixel LED display.
23:32And if we sneak into the second row here.
23:36Actually, we can look through the boot if you want, Sean.
23:39So, this is a seven or six-seater.
23:41But have a look through the boot there at the giant screen.
23:45And then the infotainment screen as well, once you've got a shot of that.
23:49The infotainment screen is unbelievable.
23:51Come over and look at this.
23:52Look at that.
23:53That is absolutely enormous.
23:56I'll open this.
23:57Cher, Cher.
23:58Look at that.
23:59That is...
24:00And it's all one display as well.
24:02It's not like it's joined in the center.
24:03That is all one display.
24:07I'm genuinely shocked at that.
24:09That looks so cool.
24:11That is enormous.
24:12Wow.
24:13And this technology is out of this world.
24:15You just do not see anything like this in, like, European cars.
24:20I mean, that is unheard of.
24:22All right.
24:22We're going to go away from Lincoln Co. now.
24:24We'll go see what else is in this hall that I can show you.
24:26So, I don't exactly know what's going to happen here.
24:29But do we just pick anything?
24:30Yes.
24:31Okay.
24:31So, pick, like, this one.
24:33Okay.
24:35Okay.
24:36Accept the terms and conditions.
24:38Oh, that's so cool.
24:39Have a look at that.
24:40That is unreal.
24:41That is so cool.
24:51And then another box has dropped in from behind it.
24:56That is unreal.
24:58That's actually simulating how the link of manufacturing work.
25:02Ah, okay.
25:03Ah, okay.
25:03Okay, so I can reach this?
25:06Yes.
25:06Yep.
25:06Oh, god damn.
25:09Okay.
25:09This is the biggest prize.
25:11Oh.
25:12You can go to our platform and talk to our prize.
25:16Okay.
25:17You can give us a prize.
25:19Congratulations.
25:20There you go.
25:20It's a new videographer.
25:23Amazing.
25:24Fantastic.
25:24Thank you so much.
25:26Amazing.
25:27That is so cool.
25:30Fantastic.
25:32Okay.
25:36Okay.
25:39Unreal.
25:44Look at that.
25:47I'm going to go do some more gambling.
25:50So Hongqi is up next.
25:52It is the oldest car brand in China.
25:54And I've seen some of these cars on the road and I was like, what the hell are they?
25:58Some of these are sold in Europe as well.
26:00Earlier on in their history, they actually had like a brand partnership with Audi as well.
26:04So there is some sort of shared technology, mixture of internal combustion and electric as well.
26:08Have a look at this sort of super luxury thing over here as well.
26:12So this is plug-in hybrid.
26:13It's got that sort of closed off front end that you traditionally see with electric cars.
26:17But have a look at the interior.
26:19It's like proper luxury.
26:21It's like S-Class style.
26:24Beautiful sort of leather and quite sort of spacious as well on a longer wheelbase.
26:28But there is something that really flies in the background here.
26:33So they just announced this.
26:35It's basically a flying car.
26:37And flying cars seem to be, I don't know, all the rage at the moment.
26:41But this thing has, strangely, about 200 kilometres of range, which I don't know whether that's going to get you very far.
26:47But have a look at that.
26:50That is something different.
26:52So propellers up the top.
26:54It can be driven on the road as a normal road car.
26:56It has autonomy.
26:57And then the pod where the passengers sit up there.
27:00It's crazy.
27:01Can you actually imagine anyone actually flying around in a car?
27:05I don't know.
27:05Maybe one back.
27:06But yeah, pretty cool to see China's oldest car brand.
27:09So this one's a little fresh.
27:11This is the new Mazda EZ60.
27:13I'm going to be referring to my phone here for some of the notes.
27:15But this looks fantastic.
27:17Mazda definitely is known for its styling.
27:19And soon I'm going to show you the EZ6 sedan as well.
27:22It's basically Chinese made.
27:24And it's a joint development with Chang'an.
27:27And that may sound familiar.
27:28We get D-PAL in Australia.
27:30So they haven't announced yet what the full electric version of this is going to be like.
27:34But I think the D-PAL that we get in Australia will be a good indication of where they're going to be heading with the drivetrains here.
27:39But we do know that inside the cabinet, it's got an enormous, like, 27-inch display.
27:44There's nothing ahead of the driver.
27:46It's all this huge display in the center there that spans across to the passenger side.
27:50There's lots of 5K display, 23-speaker sound system with the Dolby Atmos surround sound.
27:56The other interesting thing as well is there's a range extender version of this.
28:00So 72-kilowatt, 1.5-litre engine that acts as a power generator.
28:04And that uses a 31.7-kilowatt-hour LFP battery.
28:08So 160Ks of driving range on the battery alone.
28:12Then in addition to that, we know cargo capacity.
28:15So 350 litres of boot space expanding to over 2,000 litres when the seats are dropped down.
28:20So even though it's got that coupe shape, it'll actually hold a decent amount of cargo.
28:24And if you look at that rear three-quarter panel as well, there's, like, a spoiler in the back there too, which is pretty cool.
28:29So, look, this is an interesting one because, you know, Mazda has been resisting electric cars for quite some time.
28:36The fact that they've had to team up with a Chinese company to come up with this is fascinating.
28:40But hopefully it does well for them.
28:42Okay, so we'll look inside.
28:43You've got digital mirrors.
28:44So if you come around here, you can see the digital mirror there.
28:48You've got footrest that comes out.
28:50But this is probably the most impressive part.
28:5226-and-a-bit-inch display there.
28:55Crazy.
28:56In front of the driver, you don't have anything.
28:57You've just got a head-up display, which I think is the perfect way to do it.
29:00Big infotainment system with a passenger display and then a head-up display.
29:03Then digital rear-view mirror as well.
29:05So really nice place to be set and feels very nice and premium in here too.
29:09Behind you there, Sean, the Mazda EZ6.
29:12Have a look at this.
29:13Good-looking thing.
29:14A little spoiler there that pops out.
29:16Same story here.
29:17This is China only at this stage.
29:19But have a look at this interior.
29:21Old mate's pumping some tunes in there.
29:23That is a pretty flash-looking setup.
29:25So Mazda has some unique products here for the Chinese market.
29:29And I think they're going to have to adopt some of this for Australia pretty soon.
29:32Because, you know, you look at the sales of their six-cylinder cars.
29:35People aren't really loving the fact that they're so expensive and they don't have kind of an electrified option outside of the plug-in hybrid stuff.
29:41So hopefully we'll see some of this stuff coming to Australia.
29:44And when we do get more details on the EZ6, we'll figure in on those as well.
29:47Okay, time for Dong Feng.
29:49This is a brand we don't get in Australia.
29:50But we were walking past here and I saw this.
29:53It looks ridiculous.
29:55So it's basically, well, I was going to say an off-roader.
29:57But look at these wheels.
29:5824-inch wheels.
29:59You've got massive air suspension under there.
30:02Carbon fibres.
30:03So here along the trim and then on the front.
30:06I mean, the second you tap anything with that, it's probably going to be permanently destroyed.
30:10Carbon fibre on the bonnet here.
30:11So this one is a plug-in hybrid.
30:14You've got to see the interior though.
30:15So this is highly customisable in terms of what you can make this interior look like.
30:19So this leather here you can customise.
30:22But have a look at these carpets.
30:23It's like an animal skin that's been optioned in this vehicle.
30:28It's honestly ridiculous.
30:29There's another one over there I'm going to show you in a sec.
30:31That is like a luxury customised spec as well.
30:34Have a look at the back of it.
30:34So funnily enough, while you've got road tyres on the car, the spare is an enormous all-terrain.
30:40More carbon fibre around here.
30:41It's got soft clothes.
30:43Come over and look at the boot as well.
30:44Come around here, Sean.
30:45Even the boot's got the fancy sort of animal material in it as well.
30:50Interior's really nice too.
30:51A couple of big displays there.
30:52It just seems to be the thing with these Chinese cars.
30:54They just jam as much luxury stuff into it as they can.
30:58So this is the M-Hero from Dongfeng.
31:01Come around here, Sean.
31:02I'm going to show you this other car.
31:04So this is a rolling chassis.
31:06So similar set up to what BYD is doing with Shark.
31:10I've mentioned this a few times.
31:11But basically having the battery in the centre of the vehicle.
31:14Two electric motors.
31:15This one's got air suspension.
31:16So it's quite a sort of technical set up.
31:19It lacks the ability to do proper off-roading because it doesn't have low-range transfer case.
31:23And I guess the items that you would typically have.
31:26But I'd be keen to drive one of those to see how each different manufacturer actually handles this technology.
31:31So this is the luxury one I was telling you about.
31:34Have a look at it.
31:35So similar design.
31:36Look at the wheels.
31:38They look fantastic.
31:40I love that design.
31:41So Brembo brakes underneath there as well.
31:42And also on that sort of off-road version.
31:45Have a look at this interior.
31:47That is honestly one of the nicest interiors I've ever seen.
31:50It's so cool.
31:51Look at even the sparkly things here on the huge screens in the second row as well.
31:57Okay.
31:57So this is a limited edition Lorenzer.
32:00Never heard of it.
32:01But there you go.
32:02Have a look at that.
32:03So the rest of the cars at the Dong Feng stand are sort of pretty standard sort of cars.
32:07But this stuff here just stands out so much.
32:09Because can you imagine driving down the road in something that looks like a tank.
32:13That is sort of customizable as much as this is.
32:16It is seriously cool.
32:17So as you're watching this, let me also know in the comments section below whether you think
32:21we should be getting this sort of stuff in Australia.
32:23Because it is pretty unreal.
32:26All right.
32:26Let's move on.
32:30So I know this is a Chinese motor show.
32:32But I want to talk to you about this for a second.
32:34This is the Ford Ranger as you know it very well.
32:37But this one is made in China.
32:38And really different to what we get in Australia.
32:41So have a look at the integrated winch at the front there.
32:43You've got headlights that look slightly different to what we get in Australia.
32:45But come around to the side with me.
32:47So this is a Ranger Wildtrak.
32:49But it's got beadlock rims.
32:52All terrains.
32:53A camera integrated into the side here.
32:55Which is confusing.
32:56Another camera integrated to the side here.
32:59One more over here.
33:00I'm not entirely sure what all of those cameras actually do.
33:03But different side steps too.
33:05It's not quite Raptor side steps.
33:06But it's different to the plastic ones that we get.
33:09Sean you jump over here.
33:10I'll let you have the driver's seat for a change.
33:12I'm going to go to the passenger side.
33:14So this has an FX4 badge on the back as well.
33:16So it's part of an off-road package they fit to the vehicle.
33:19And then Fox shocks as well.
33:22But look at all this.
33:23So instead of having a 10-speed auto like we have in Australia.
33:26This actually has a ZF transmission.
33:292.3 liter gasoline engine.
33:31This is all different too.
33:32So where we have our drive modes and stuff here in the centre.
33:35This is drive modes and a 4 low indicator.
33:374 high over here.
33:38Front and rear diff locks.
33:40Trail turn assist.
33:41You've got your park brake integrated here.
33:45Different gear shifter as well.
33:46So that looks totally different.
33:47Different infotainment system too.
33:49And from what I can tell the cameras are kind of just doing the same thing.
33:52So I don't really understand what all of the additional cameras are on this car.
33:56But the infotainment system is different to what we have in Australia.
33:59Much faster as well.
34:01So I think that there's some improvements there.
34:04This is all different too.
34:05Location of the wireless charger.
34:06There's just so much stuff here that is totally different to what we have.
34:09So yeah, really fascinating.
34:12What we'll do now, I'm going to take you over to see something pretty exciting, which is the Ford Mustang GTD.
34:17So we'll go over to see the GTD.
34:19But this is China only Ford Explorer.
34:22Explorer is actually China for Explorer rather is the second biggest market for it in the world.
34:28And it's a pretty cool looking interior.
34:30Big old screen there that stretches all the way across to the passenger side.
34:34So this appears to just be the standard car.
34:36But have a look at this one over here, the orange one.
34:37That looks seriously cool.
34:40So very impressive setup with some recovery points down the bottom there.
34:44All-terrain tyres.
34:45Big old grille there as well.
34:47But anyway, let's go see the GTD.
34:50Because I've wanted to see one of these in person.
34:53Now that is just around here.
34:55Okay, have a look at this.
35:01The GTD.
35:02I know that this is not really sort of brand new, but that looks unreal.
35:06So 5.2 litre supercharged V8.
35:10Dual clutch transmission on a transaxle.
35:13It looks unreal here in person.
35:17Carbon exposed on the bonnet there.
35:19Oh, it looks so cool.
35:23It genuinely looks absolutely unreal.
35:26An invite only in terms of who can actually buy one, unfortunately.
35:30And I'm not on the list.
35:32Boo hiss.
35:34So we're at the CATL stand.
35:36And this is probably one of two big battery stories out of the Shanghai Motor Show.
35:40These guys have spoken about a battery they've developed.
35:43It's about to go into production.
35:441,500 kilometres worth of driving range one of these batteries is capable of.
35:47And charging over 500 kilometres of range in five minutes.
35:51That is kind of where it's at for people in terms of how long they're willing to wait.
35:55There's a flying car here as well, which is entirely interesting and random.
36:00This company, for those who don't know, supplies batteries to a huge number of electric cars around the world.
36:05It isn't just one brand like BYD, for example, that makes batteries.
36:09They just go into their cars.
36:10These guys do batteries for a number of different brands.
36:12It kind of gives you the principle that these guys are talking about getting this done as fast as they can.
36:17The other big thing here is being able to charge in sub-zero temperatures.
36:21Typically, that is unheard of for fast charging a battery.
36:25And it can damage the battery as well.
36:26Whereas these guys think they've mastered it.
36:27So until we get to test it in production and see how it works, there are some sort of big challenges to this.
36:32The BYD system, for example, requires a megawatt of charging.
36:36A thousand kilowatts.
36:37It is a huge amount of power.
36:39So it's not exactly like you can throw that up in some of the small cities we have around Australia.
36:43It is a lot of effort to do it.
36:44But it is good that someone's thinking about it.
36:46They are getting somewhere with it.
36:47And we are going to start seeing it in production pretty soon.
36:51Hello.
36:51Well, we're not at the Motor Show, obviously.
36:53We just found out we had a stack of sound issues when we were recording at the MG stand.
36:56So we're now just doing this bit here.
36:58We're going to overlay the footage from the stand that was actually working.
37:01The Cyber X.
37:02How good does this look?
37:03So it's basically the next version of the Cyber range.
37:06First one was the Cyberster, the convertible electric go-fast car we included in a stack of drag races as well.
37:13I'll leave a link to those in the description below.
37:15But this is basically a boxy SUV.
37:17And it's not huge.
37:18It's kind of like the size of a little smaller, actually, than a Defender 90.
37:21So it's about that sort of dimension.
37:23It's slightly bigger than a ZS.
37:25So it gives you an idea of what it's all about.
37:27It'll be electric.
37:27And just as a fun fact, MG's designer actually came from Volkswagen, Rolls-Royce, BMW.
37:34So this has been in the works for a little while now.
37:36And what MG's saying is that with a combination of AI and the pace they're able to deliver cars,
37:41I reckon they could turn this around from a concept to a production car pretty quickly.
37:44So we could see this come out, like, next year, potentially.
37:47So very exciting to see.
37:48I love the concept's pop-up headlights.
37:51Pop-up headlights were kind of dead with stuff like MX-5.
37:54And I don't know that it'll make it to the production version with all the pedestrian impact stuff they have to comply with.
37:59But really cool-looking design.
38:00And hopefully it does make it into production looking very much like it does,
38:04because it would look unreal on the road.
38:05We're working our way systematically through the halls.
38:07And we've just arrived here at this hall, which has X-Peng, which is a Chinese brand,
38:12but Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche down the back there.
38:14They run a lot of joint ventures, which means that these companies are half-owned by Chinese companies.
38:19And it is interesting to see when you look at this as a...
38:22Compared to a traditional motor show where these would be the flagship brands,
38:26there's not as many people here, not as many people checking out these cars.
38:29They're all really drawn towards the Chinese brands and some of the stuff they're innovating.
38:33And if you look at it more broadly as well,
38:35it seems that they just don't keep up with the pace for innovation that Chinese brands do.
38:39They're willing to launch like an offshoot of a brand that will test some new technology.
38:44And then if that works, I'll just roll it out into their more established brands.
38:46It's just a really fascinating look at how the car industry is changing.
38:51So we're going to work our way through to the other Chinese brands
38:53because, you know, it is the Shanghai Motor Show.
38:55We can see all this stuff another time.
38:57XC, it is a sub-brand of cherry.
38:59And I spotted this thing, which looks pretty cool.
39:02So this is the X-Lantix Sport.
39:06It's got an enormous spoiler, which we'll have a look at in a second.
39:09But bonnet scoops that don't do anything.
39:11They're all closed off.
39:12So we go from the fake bonnet scoops to a carbon wing, which actually looks pretty cool.
39:17This thing looks great in this green colour.
39:19Carbon down the bottom there as well.
39:20Giant brakes.
39:21So pretty cool setup.
39:22But they do love their autonomy.
39:24This is level four autonomous.
39:26Look at this LiDAR setup.
39:28So front and rear.
39:29It does look a little bit silly, if you ask me.
39:32It's not a tumour.
39:33And that guy's watching us, which is why I'm having to whisper.
39:36But yeah, it is just a strange setup.
39:38But this basically allows the car to be level four, which is eyes off, hands off.
39:42And this is where they're hoping the future will go.
39:44But based on the sort of murmurs we hear around the show here, autonomy is kind of a thing
39:49that is starting to be pulled back a little bit.
39:51People are talking about wanting to be able to drive, wanting to take control.
39:54This is kind of that middle ground.
39:56You still have a steering wheel.
39:57Level five is no steering wheel.
39:58And you don't have any control.
39:59Whereas this still gives you that middle ground.
40:01But you have to have these obscene LiDARs set up to really give you the definition that you need.
40:05You can see it's at the back here as well.
40:08It just looks kind of strange.
40:09I'm sure this technology will get better over time.
40:11It will get smaller.
40:12But at the moment it just looks, I don't know, a little bit odd.
40:16Not a tumour at all.
40:20Oh my God.
40:21So Cherry, you kind of think of it as an affordable brand in Australia.
40:28But Cherry has so many sub-brands.
40:30We're at the main Cherry stand here.
40:32I'm going to show you a flying car in a second.
40:35Look at the dogs.
40:36There's dogs all over the place.
40:38They've sort of been walking around, performing tricks and stuff.
40:40And then you see them all sitting here in this dystopian future of dogs.
40:46Which is pretty cool.
40:47But Cherry, I mean, you look at some of the cars they have here.
40:51None of this stuff feels cheap and cheerful.
40:53You've got electric fast cars.
40:56Very fast cars, in fact.
40:57But over here you have a flying car concept.
41:01And this one's weird because they reckon 200 kilometres of range.
41:05Which doesn't seem all that good to me if you're going to be flying somewhere.
41:08But basically it's a fully autonomous vehicle that can fly.
41:12It can then drive on the road.
41:14I don't know where the wings fold away.
41:15But, you know, they all seem to be trumpeting all these flying cars.
41:18And I don't know whether it's genuinely a future they think is going to happen.
41:21Or whether they're all doing it because the other guys are doing it.
41:24But it's definitely interesting to sort of see where it's all going to go.
41:28Have a look at this though.
41:30This is the Luxeed brand.
41:33And it is.
41:34It is pretty schmick.
41:36Giant Brembo brakes there with what looks like carbon ceramic rotors.
41:41Nice red interior there.
41:42Beautifully presented with a clock in the centre there.
41:45Similar to a Porsche Sport Chrono.
41:49LiDAR up the top there as well.
41:51Very impressed.
41:52Oh, there's a thing of flowers coming out of the back of that car.
41:58Here's a brand you've never seen before.
42:00Chang'an.
42:01And this is the Hunter dual cab ute.
42:03Look at this.
42:04That's like an off-road version.
42:06And it looks absolutely unreal.
42:08But I'm going to focus on this because it's a plug-in hybrid.
42:11So 2 litre turbocharged petrol engine in the front there.
42:14Inside the cabin here.
42:16Looks bloody unreal.
42:17So this one has like optional driving lights and stuff fitted to it.
42:20Meaty sort of side steps here.
42:21But similar setup to BYD Shark with electric motor at the front, electric motor at the rear, battery located in the centre of the vehicle.
42:28And then inside the cabin there.
42:29This thing is fitted with front and rear diff locks.
42:32So this is going to give it the ability to kind of just go wherever it wants.
42:35Also, it's got a four-wheel drive low range.
42:37And I'm really curious to see how that works with a system here where there's a separate drivetrain at the front and no driveline that goes down the centre of the car.
42:46So I don't know whether that's low range just for the internal combustion engine and whether it has direct drive on the front axle.
42:51Not entirely sure.
42:52But very interesting setup.
42:53And you really tend to have a drive with this to see exactly what it's like.
42:58Have a look at the rear step on this off-road version as well.
43:00Come around, Sean.
43:01This is something else.
43:02So basically, you've got a rear step that's integrated into the tailgate here.
43:06And you actually see that I've been doing a lot of testing with this car because it's actually got dust through the side there.
43:11So what a fascinating setup.
43:14I don't know how durable or how much longevity you'd get out of that given that it's got a lot of joins through here.
43:21And then this whole mechanism looks quite complex as well.
43:24But just a different take on the step you see on some dual-cab utes at the moment.
43:29And having a look at this, that's on a serious set of all-terrains with beadlocks.
43:33But I don't know if the beadlocks are real.
43:36They look like they might just be a dress kit.
43:39They actually do a version of this with a 2-litre turbocharged diesel.
43:43Now, this is interesting.
43:45This car is seriously covered in dust under here.
43:47So they've been doing a lot of development testing with this.
43:51So pretty cool setup.
43:53So you can see the exhaust just here, the battery in the centre there, 32-kilowatt-hour battery, driving range of about 100 kilometres.
44:01Very nice.
44:03I'm going to have a drive with this.
44:05It looks really cool.
44:06So anyway, this is the Chang'an stand.
44:08There's other stuff here as well, but I thought let's focus on this.
44:10How cute is this?
44:13This is iCar.
44:14It's a division of cherry.
44:16This is the V23.
44:18Little electric car.
44:19We're going to go have a little look inside as well.
44:23This is like a dual-cab ute version.
44:25Have a look at it.
44:27It is so funny.
44:29It's got recovery points at the back.
44:30So fully electric.
44:32I think this is like a concept car, but look at those little fuel tanks, even though it is fully electric.
44:41It is so cute.
44:43And the very plastic-feeling recovery points.
44:48But have a look at this.
44:49Colour and the wheels.
44:51Looks so cool.
44:52It's actually a bit like a Jimny, but not, you know, barren on the inside.
44:57It's got a decent screen there in the centre.
45:00Really nice fit and finish.
45:02Cool controls there as well.
45:06That is cool.
45:08Tell you what, this would sell so well in Australia.
45:11They've just got different versions of these things that you can customise.
45:14This one's orange.
45:15It's got the matte paint.
45:16This one, which Sean has fallen in love with, is a fluffy one.
45:23This is so cool.
45:24Even this one over here with the two-tone, it's like a, you know, a Maybach, basically, with the driving lights on the top of it, too.
45:32Oh, you want to hear something funny as well.
45:34Sean's just going to go in close to the lady over there on her phone.
45:37We've seen her plus a stack of others that are basically doing live streams.
45:42The two of them here, they're dressed in the exact same way.
45:44They're doing live streams to sell these cars.
45:47And at one point, there was like six or seven of these people live streaming the exact same car trying to sell it.
45:52And it is the most fascinating thing I've ever seen because I don't know whether they get commission or how the structure works.
45:59If you do know, let us know in the comments section below.
46:01But it is such a different take on selling cars.
46:04It's no longer this dealership model.
46:06You are basically selling it through people on a live stream where they just talk for ages.
46:10She's got her calculator open.
46:11Come and have a look, Sean.
46:12She must be talking about the price.
46:14And if you look over her shoulder, you can kind of see what she's doing.
46:17So, yeah, really cool model and just a very different way of doing business.
46:21Perhaps we'll see something like this in Australia one day.
46:24Have a look at this.
46:25What would normally be a spare tie holder is like a cable holder.
46:30So cool.
46:31This one's a cabrio as well.
46:32I've just been asked to take a photo with this fluffy iCar over here.
46:48And I think it's time to call it a day.
46:49I was also kissed by a man I don't know.
46:51But anyway, that's a story I won't be repeating.
46:53So, that has been the Shanghai Motor Show.
46:56I've been covering motor shows for like 15 years.
47:00And this is not only the busiest motor show I've ever seen in times when motor shows are declining and you're not really seeing them all that much internationally anywhere.
47:10But this is just a hub of technology, a hub of new features, a hub of flying cars as it seems.
47:16But it just shows you that the Chinese are coming and in a big way.
47:19Based on the experience we've had in Australia, Chinese cars are actually pretty good now.
47:22We don't have the issues that we did with all the Chinese cars.
47:25So, we're just going to see more of them.
47:27So, yeah, I'm really excited to drive some of this stuff to get behind the wheel of some of the plug-in hybrid dual-cab utes because I think they have some benefits if they've done well.
47:34But, yeah, this has been unreal.
47:36So, let me know in the comments section below what has been your favourite.
47:39Maybe it's this fluffy random car up the top here.
47:42I want to know what you guys think of Chinese cars.
47:44Have you driven them?
47:45What do you think of them?
47:46Are you going to stick to more traditional stuff?
47:48I'm keen for your feedback.
47:50Let me know in the comments section below.
47:51If you did enjoy the video, it's been a long one today.
47:53Make sure you like it and you share it with your mates.
47:55But I'm going to go get a beer.
47:56I think Sean deserves one.
47:58Some chicken nuggets as well.
48:00Until next time, take it easy.
