00:00The Public Relations Practitioner Society of Malaysia will host its inaugural Global Public Relations Conference and Festival at the World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur from November 13 to November 15, with 1,000 expected participants, including more than 200 foreign delegates.
00:19PRPSM Chairman and Conference Organizer P. Kamalanathan said the three-day event aimed to elevate the role of public relations and communications in Malaysia and the region.
00:30Public relations and communication plays an important role, not only when there's a crisis, not only to build a brand and images, but also to help the organisation to look better, to be responsible to the community, to be involved in many CSR activities and whatnot.
00:55Themed Humanity Amplified, Redefining Public Relations in the Age of Intelligence, the conference will cover communication strategies, the internationalisation of public relations, and the impact of technologies such as artificial intelligence.
01:09There are three areas, three areas we are focusing. One, we are focusing on the strategies in communication. Number two, we are going to focus about how public relations has gone international, how public relations and communication is important in an international arena.
01:25And number three, as communication person, how are we going to adapt to new technologies?
01:32Participants will also gain access to four masterclasses on verbal and non-verbal communication, with confirmed speakers including PERAC's Sultan Nazrin Shah, who will officiate the conference and deliver the keynote address,
01:44former Ministers Idris Jala and Khairi Jamaluddin, and former UK Chartered Institute of Public Relations President Jason McKenzie.
