00:00Day 2 of the Global Public Relations Conference and Festival Malaysia 2025

00:05unfolded with the same buzz and excitement as participants gathered here today.

00:10Let's dive into what went down.

00:13The day began with a major milestone, the launch of the practitioner's website

00:17and the Code of Ethics and Integrity in Public Relations,

00:21officiated by Tengku Permaiseri of Selangor, Tengku Permaiseri Noor Ashikin.

00:25The momentum carried into a powerful plenary session led by Idris Jalla,

00:31chairman and president of Permandu Associates,

00:34where he broke down how leaders can build real trust through people-oriented

00:38and results-focused ways to communicate and lead.

00:42His message, real transformation happens when you take bold risks.

00:47And most of us do not set impossible targets for ourselves.

00:51We set realistic targets, targets that we know we can achieve.

00:55Anyone that, in my view, that is consistently setting realistic targets

01:00is constraining himself or herself to walk the path of mediocrity.

01:06You will never achieve your full potential if you keep living a life of setting realistic targets.

01:13Up next was a heavyweight panel discussion on geopolitical diplomacy

01:16and trust building in global communications.

01:19And it brought top-tier expertise.

01:22The panel featured Singapore's High Commissioner to Malaysia,

01:25Vanu Gopala Menen, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia, Edgar D. Kagan,

01:29and the World Bank's lead economist for Malaysia, Apuva Sangi.

01:33Together, the panelists pulled back the curtain on building credibility,

01:37managing geopolitical tensions, and shaping public diplomacy.
