Cebu Normal University (CNU) unveils on Aug. 26, 2025, its prototype smart classroom as part of a P2-billion modernization program to transform the campus into a 'smart hub.' Dr. Daniel A. Ariaso Sr., CNU President, led the ribbon-cutting at the ASAB Building, explaining that ongoing retrofitting works have hindered the full return of physical classes. The university plans to open 35 smart classrooms by Oct. 15, each equipped with air-conditioning, high-definition televisions, digital whiteboards, and multimedia tools. The initiative supports CNU’s planned shift to blended learning—75 percent onsite and 25 percent online.
