Lapu-Lapu City mayor marks first 100 days in office with progress report
Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindi Chan marks her first 100 days in office on Oct. 22, 2025, highlighting progress in healthcare, education, social services, tourism, and public safety, based on her report to the public. Chan said the city hospital expanded services with a new Eye Center and mental health programs in local schools. Educational support that included school supplies, financial aid for teachers, and a scholarship fair that benefited over 3,500 students were also cited among her accomplishments.

02:00From day one, I made a promise that healthcare in Lago-Lago City would not only be accessible, but humane, and compassionate.
02:20And we made that happen.
02:24We hired more medical professionals for our Lago-Lago City Hospital.
02:30An orthopedic and oncologist surgeon, two general surgeons, and a physiologist.
02:40We also added an OB-GYN, bringing a total of six OB-GYN doctors.
02:49Because of these additions, we expanded our services to include complex biopsies, orthopedic care, and surgeries.
03:08Ultrasound-guided procedures.
03:12Ang Atong Hospital is now better equipped to handle these cases, reducing referrals to Vicente Soto Hospital.
