00:00Hour number one rolling along right here on the early line.
00:02It's a Monday here. I love a Monday.
00:04The action is high. Football is on this week.
00:06We cannot wait to get to the regular season in the NFL in week zero in college football.
00:10But there's always some news and notes that come up where it just puts a smile on my face
00:14because I know it's devious sometimes the thoughts that I get saying,
00:18man, you could have seen things coming from a mile away.
00:21It's Joe Renier and Donnie Wright's side.
00:22Let's dip back into the Bengals.
00:24One of my favorite teams to talk about over the past two years,
00:26not in the regular season, Joe, just in the offseason of how poorly this franchise is actually run.
00:32Ian Rappaport with the tweet yesterday.
00:34With contract talks at an impasse,
00:37the Bengals are listening to trade offers for perennial pro bowler Trey Hendrickson,
00:41per me and Tom Polisaro.
00:42It's unclear if the NFL sack leader will be playing elsewhere in 2025.
00:46Any trade will be a real challenge, but time will tell.
00:49You know what's not a real challenge?
00:50In the offseason when he doesn't want to be here and you're trying to make a trade for him.
00:53Most people that say, okay, I have to sell a house or sell a car.
00:56Let me put it out on the market and I'll take the best deal that's available.
00:59Not saying, hey, I think we should sell my car.
01:02Oh, your car's worth $10,000.
01:04Great, let's put it up for $40,000.
01:06Nobody bought it.
01:07That's a shame.
01:07Looks like we'll have to keep it.
01:08That's not how you do business here.
01:10There is a market for a 30-year-old sack artist that could go to an organization
01:14that expects to win a championship that year and will pay you compensation for that.
01:19The way the Bengals have gone about this, Joe, it's disingenuous at every single turn.
01:23He's a great player.
01:24He wants more money.
01:25That's what great players do.
01:27Finally, you have a deal.
01:28They want more money.
01:28If you're not going to give it to them, somebody else will, and you can trade them and get compensation back.
01:33That's how business in the NFL works.
01:35Everything the Bengals are doing is backwards.
01:37Joe, they could have traded him 15 times in the offseason, got compensation back,
01:41hit the draft market here in the draft, and picked up a talented player who's younger and cheaper
01:46and went along with their business.
01:47Now we're led to believe they didn't trade him in the offseason, but you'll get nothing
01:50back for him right now except for draft compensation next year that you can't use this year, and
01:55you lose one of the best sack artists in the NFL.
01:58Joe, make it make sense to me, please.
02:01Two words.
02:02The Bengals.
02:03That's what they do.
02:05That's what the Brown family does.
02:07It's what they've always done.
02:08Listen, we have all known since, what, over three years, the minute they got Joe Burrow, right?
02:15We knew there was going to come a time where they were going to have to pay Joe Burrow,
02:20Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, and Trey Hendrickson.
02:24This was all going to happen within a couple of years, right?
02:28They had no choice but to give Burrow his money and his extension early, although they
02:33probably would have chose to try to drag that out as long as possible, but they dragged their
02:37feet on Jamar Chase.
02:39They dragged their feet on T. Higgins, and shocker, they're dragging their feet on Trey Hendrickson.
02:45Now, Chase and Higgins got their money, right?
02:47They got their extensions, but my goodness, Hendrickson, the guy that anchors the defense,
02:55that he's not worth going above and beyond in a market, Donnie, that was reset in the
03:00offseason.
03:01Guys like Hendrickson are getting paid, period.
03:05The fact that he's, what, going to be 30 years old is neither here nor there.
03:10If you want to have a championship defense, you need an edge rusher.
03:13You need an all-pro.
03:14That's what you have here.
03:16Pay the man.
03:18But no, instead, we're going to pretend to field offers from teams who, at this point,
03:23two weeks away from the season, Donnie, there's only a handful of teams who could even afford
03:27to sign him because he's going to want to go to a place, Donnie, that is going to give
03:32him an extension.
03:33So, I mean, what are we doing here?
03:35You talk about messing it up from the start.
03:39The Bengals are acting like they woke up yesterday and were like, oh, wait a minute.
03:41You mean we got to pay him?
03:43Oh, I didn't see this coming.
03:44Wait a minute.
03:44We got to figure some things out.
03:46Ridiculous.
03:47You are right in your window where you feel you can have a championship because the offense
03:51is championship right at the defense is bad.
03:53So, the last thing you want to do is say, I'm going to get rid of one of the best sack
03:56artists in the NFL.
03:57But it's also a way of doing business and doing it the complete wrong way.
04:00If you say, look, we're not getting the trade offers back that we think that you are going
04:04to demand.
04:05We're not going to give you a super long-term deal.
04:07Trey, what's it going to take to get you on the football field this year?
04:09And I promise you, play this year.
04:11We'll give you a little bit more money.
04:13At the end of the year, we will just cut you loose.
04:14And we'll see if, you know, bygones be bygones and away you go.
04:18We're not going to get compensation.
04:19We want to try to win this year.
04:20But instead, you're going to try to trade and make him angry and not pay him here and
04:23see how that goes on a defense that needs all the help it can absolutely get.
04:28Jordan Schultz had a NFL report coming out too.
04:30It's like the Panthers, the Browns, and the Colts are among teams that have shown interest
04:34in trading for the Bengals All-Pro.
04:35And to me, I even laughed at that.
04:37The Panthers are like five years away from competing.
04:40The Colts have no idea who their quarterback is going to be.
04:42They're not competing for anything at this point here.
04:44And the Browns, their win total is four and a half.
04:47I wanted to see like the Niners, the Eagles, the Cowboys.
04:49Give me somebody who has expectations of at least eight and a half wins or higher that's
04:54going to want to trade for a player like Trey Hendrickson.
04:56So I don't know where he's going at this point, but we could see this coming such a long time
05:01ago.
05:02You had them at like draft night, Joe.
05:03If they moved them, I'm not saying they got a first round pick and they probably wouldn't.
05:07But you know they probably got a two and a three, which you could have drafted a defensive
05:11back, a linebacker, another edge rusher and said, okay, we lost Trey.
05:14We don't have to pay him that contract.
05:16We have rookie salaries here.
05:17Let's move on.
05:18We think this will be better.
05:18But they botched it every turn.
05:20Like, simple question.
05:21Are they a better football team without Trey Hendrickson?
05:25No, they're not.
05:26No.
05:27No.
05:27And you can't, again, he's due $18 million this year.
05:31So any trade means, again, the team that's taking him on has got to be willing not only
05:36to confirm the $18 million to make sure they have enough cap space, but then they got to
05:40be willing to invest in him long term.
05:43I get the Colts because Lou Anarumo is former DC and Cincinnati is now the DC at the Colts.
05:50But there's two teams, Donnie, that actually have the cap space that could really use them
05:55that are exactly what you're talking about, contenders.
05:58One of them is Green Bay, who has $31 million remaining in cap space for this year.
06:05That would be an unbelievable get.
06:07And the other one is the Lions.
06:09The Lions have $40 million in available cap space still on the books.
06:14Wouldn't you like Aiden Hutchinson on one side and Trey Hendrickson on the other side if
06:19you're Detroit?
06:21Yeah, there are a handful of teams that could win a Super Bowl that would be more than happy
06:26to write the check.
06:27And the Bengals have missed the boat as usual.
06:31They always miss the boat.
06:32And it's crazy.
06:32Like, you could have saved on those two wide receivers.
06:34You paid them a ton of money.
06:35Quarterbacks are quarterbacks.
06:36You're like, they're always going to reset the market immediately when they come up,
06:39regardless if they wait a year or two to sign their contract.
06:42But when you just look at the Hendrickson situation, it was so easy the way it could work out.
06:46And I always just get back to how the Bengals are approaching this.
06:48We want multiple first round draft picks.
06:50That sounds like a guy that's worth $100 million in guarantees.
06:53Bengals does.
06:54Like, you're sending the wrong smoke signals up right now.
06:56If you're telling me you want multiple ones, but he's not worth more than $18 million a
07:01year, how do you even negotiate other deals at this point?
07:05It makes no sense.
07:06Say he's over the hill.
07:07We don't want to pay him, which means he's a third round pick that you're getting back.
07:10But don't tell everybody you want multiple ones when he's not worth $20 million a year.
07:15It makes no sense.
07:16I'll tell you what does make sense.
07:18Chicago Bears.
07:19Ooh, that offense.
07:21Talk about it next.
07:23Let's get down to brass tacks right here on the early line on a Monday morning edition
07:26right here on the Sports Grid Network.
07:2738 to nothing.
07:29That was the Chicago Bears over the Buffalo Bills.
07:31The Buffalo Bills are 0-2.
07:32Should we be panicking right now that maybe the season where they expect to win a Super Bowl
07:36or being priced like Super Bowl contenders not going to be there?
07:3928 to nothing at the break here.
07:41The Chicago Bears storm the field at Soldier Field and win this game easily.
07:46I know it's preseason and I look at Mitchell Trubisky, Mike White, and Shane Bushell and
07:51say, where's Josh Allen?
07:52I look at the backfield and it's Frank Gore Jr., not Frank Gore himself in the backfield.
07:56And you don't know the expectations of the Bills because they completely didn't show up
07:59nor care about that football game.
08:01I just wanted to get a take a look or should I say take a look at the Chicago Bears.
08:05Liked what I saw on offense.
08:06Liked what I saw to Caleb Williams.
08:07But it is tempered and it is measured because you're not going against starters.
08:10Nobody's game planning here.
08:11But it was a good look for the Chicago Bears who last time they sort of tried to unveil
08:15Caleb.
08:16Didn't work out so well.
08:17You can go back to the summer.
08:18It's like, hey, let's have a family practice at night at Soldier Field.
08:20Didn't work out so well.
08:22This one worked out pretty well right here, Joe.
08:25Yeah.
08:26I mean, listen, if I'm a Bears fan, right?
08:30Hey, listen, this is maybe the best that you have seen Caleb Williams look.
08:35And, of course, your hope was that Ben Johnson would be able to come in and point and get
08:41him back on track, right?
08:44So, all good.
08:45I mean, it's all good.
08:46But the reality is you did it against the third stringers of the Buffalo Bills.
08:53Not one projected starter was on the field at any point for the Bills last night.
08:59And that's why they also finished with no first down conversions, 0 of 8 on third down,
09:05and 0 of 2 on fourth down.
09:07It was not a great showing by anybody on the Bills except one person.
09:12The Bills did have one MVP yesterday.
09:15And that had to be their punter.
09:18Because, my goodness, Donnie, he was on the field the entire damn game against the Bears.
09:25So, great job by the Bears.
09:27But, again, you won 33 to 8 a year ago.
09:30That didn't really make a difference in the preseason.
09:33I doubt very much in three weeks anybody will remember this game even happened.
09:39The Buffalo Bills had 12 first downs in that game.
09:41The Bears had 31.
09:42But you're right about this.
09:43Third down efficiency, Joe.
09:450 of 8 for the Buffalo Bills.
09:48Fourth down efficiency.
09:490 of 2.
09:50They ran 43 plays to the Bears, 83.
09:52They had 180 total yards.
09:54And, by the way, the Bears had 528 total yards.
09:58This is where, like, sometimes the NFL and the fans, like, you just get kicked in the head.
10:02Now, the Bears were home yesterday, which rightfully so.
10:04They won 38 to nothing.
10:05And, hey, it looks great.
10:06And we'll see how that projects into the regular season.
10:09Like, if you're the Bills, like, clear, like, we don't care about the preseason.
10:11Like, there was a time, Joe, where it was a little bit before my time,
10:14six and eight preseason games, I believe, in the NFL just to get started
10:17because they wanted to sell extra tickets before the season got underway.
10:20But it's clear, like, hey, we have a game.
10:22And the Bills were like, do we really?
10:23Can we just get on the plane and get out of here?
10:25Because they got smoked last night, man.
10:27They really did.
10:29I mean, again, not good in any way, shape, or form.
10:33They did not show up.
10:35But, again, the reality is there was not one.
10:38We weren't even really talking backups last night.
10:41We were talking to the majority of the dudes trying to make the scout team, right,
10:46the practice squad, trying not to head back to the USFL.
10:50Those are the quality of players we were talking about on the Buffalo Bills on the field last night.
10:56So, hey, listen, but if you're Caleb Williams and you're the starters, you've got a job to do, right?
11:01No matter who's on the other side.
11:03Yep.
11:03They went out.
11:03They executed.
11:05Great job.
11:06We got to see Colston Loveland, right?
11:09We got to see the new tight end there.
11:10And the offense looks good, but they've always looked good on paper, Donny.
11:15They looked great last year on paper.
11:18But, again, doing it against starters of other NFL teams remains to be seen.
11:24Come on now.
11:25It was Trubisky back there.
11:26Don't you remember one time Trubisky was a favorite to win possible an NDP for the Chicago Bears?
11:31Boy, oh, boy.
11:32Sharp, sharp, sharps all over that one.
11:35I'll tell you who was sharp yesterday.
11:36Spencer Rattler, 18-24 for $1.99 and a touchdown.
11:39Also threw an interception, but a 17-17 tie between the Saints and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
11:44Shuck versus Rattler.
11:47Sometimes you have, like, a quarterback competition.
11:49Like, okay, I wonder who's going to win this.
11:50Like, you know, Justin Fields last year, Russell Wilson.
11:53Like, hey, maybe we can get the playoffs with this guy.
11:56Does anybody care about Rattler versus Shuck?
11:57And, by the way, if you are Tyler Shuck and you get beat up by Spencer Rattler,
12:00just admit, New Orleans, you made the wrong move right off the bat.
12:03I'm sorry.
12:05Yeah, well, I mean, listen, I'll say this.
12:07I was very curious because, you know, week two, we saw the starters, Trevor Lawrence and company,
12:12play last week in week one.
12:15I thought it was interesting that they were also coming out there
12:18and all the starters were playing again for Liam Cohn.
12:21So, listen, new offense, new mind, new everything.
12:24And they are working the starters a lot here.
12:27And, actually, they looked pretty darn good in that game yesterday.
12:32I mean, cigarette sales got to be at an all-time high in Louisiana.
12:34Just people walking out their back like, I mean, my goodness, man, I need a break from this team.
12:39Let's talk more bad football quarterback situations right here on the early line.
12:44Talking football here, NFL football, preseason edition here.
12:47And I got to tell you, Joe Renier, like, I hate the preseason.
12:50But I do get a kick out of sometimes when you see who the starters are
12:52and the battles for the starting quarterback jobs.
12:54Like, just yesterday, the Indianapolis Colts, excuse me, over the weekend, the Colts,
12:58Daniel Jones versus Anthony Richardson.
12:59We'll get to that in a second.
13:00But I love to see, like, the names sometimes that pop up in these games.
13:04Like, the Green Bay Packers.
13:05Taylor L. Guzma, who's wearing, it looks like, number 190, but it's 19 on offense
13:11because clearly he probably is going to make the football team.
13:13But also, some of these names pop up.
13:15They have to love it.
13:16Running back for the Indianapolis Colts.
13:18Ulysses Bentley IV.
13:20Sounds like he was serving in the Confederate Army back in the Civil War, Joe.
13:24I mean, that's a great name.
13:26That is a great name.
13:28Especially for a running back, right?
13:30You know what I mean?
13:31Hand the ball off and just follow Ulysses Bentley III.
13:36Just keep going, man.
13:37Follow him in the battle.
13:39You're going to be good to go.
13:40I love that name.
13:42By the way, if we do get down to business, though,
13:44with Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson.
13:46Listen, 7 of 11 for Daniel Jones.
13:48Anthony Richardson, 6 of 11.
13:49No touchdown passes between them.
13:52This just seems like a fight to the finish that's going to have no winners whatsoever,
13:57Joe, in Indy.
13:58Get excited, Colts fans!
14:00Oh, boy.
14:01Yeah, I mean, and listen, they are going to continue to battle it
14:06because I'm not quite sure they have any clue who is to give them the best chance
14:10of actually winning the game.
14:11And I think the reality is, Donnie, they're both going to play
14:14and probably play a lot this season in different spots here.
14:19But, hey, listen, the reality is, you know,
14:23they both looked competent, at least, in this game here with Danny Dimes starting it
14:29and then Richardson coming in.
14:31So I think it's going to take one more game for these guys to be able to separate themselves.
14:37It should be interesting to see, though.
14:39Are you really not starting Anthony Richardson after you invested all that capital to go get him?
14:45You have to, right?
14:47If he's healthy and the competition is somewhat even,
14:51and I'm not even like they're probably slanting it towards Anthony Richardson,
14:54like behind the scenes, Steichen's like, look, give Daniel Jones all the really bad football plays.
14:57Give, you know, Anthony Richardson the really good plays that we have schemed up.
15:01Let you see if he can convert and do some things.
15:03He has to start.
15:04You have to get finality on the guy.
15:06Either he can't play, he's too injured, or he's fantastic.
15:10You're going to know that.
15:11You know how you know it, Joe?
15:11By playing the guy.
15:12You don't know that by going, hey, man, he went up to the whiteboard in that meeting on Monday,
15:16really picked out that blitz.
15:17He's ready.
15:18It's like, no, he has to do it on the football field and can't tap his helmet after a 32-yard run
15:22saying, coach, I need a couple plays off.
15:24I need a breather here.
15:25Put him out there for better or for worse at this point here.
15:29Now, let's keep moving.
15:29Battle, New York City.
15:31You excited for that one?
15:31Did you watch the Gotham Challenge this weekend between the Giants and the New York Jets?
15:3631-12, the New York Giants get that victory.
15:392-0 now in the preseason.
15:40We did see Russell Wilson, 4-7 out there, 108 yards, but he did throw an interception.
15:45We saw DJ Tommy DeVito also play.
15:47Jameis Winston chimed in, 6-11 with 110 yards, but there was Jackson Dart, efficient and with
15:53a touchdown, 14-16, buck 37, one touchdown, pass rating of 123.2.
15:59I look at this in the lens of Joe.
16:01I have a team total from ESPN bet to go over three and a half for the New York Giants.
16:06The thing I was most worried about this season was, oh no, Russell Wilson struggles.
16:11We go to a rookie in week number eight.
16:13He looks terrible and away we go.
16:15I'm not saying Jackson Dart is going to be the best player in the NFL this year if he
16:19becomes quarterback, but I'm seeing competency and that is a big deal for a rookie quarterback.
16:24Yeah, you know what, the other thing that I noticed watching that game, Donnie, unfortunately
16:30I did watch it and it was quite clear from the start, by the way, the Jets wanted to
16:34work on their running game because all they did for the first couple of series was run
16:39the ball, Brees Hall left, Braylon Allen right, and they just kept working the running game
16:44the entire time, right?
16:45But I'll say this, it's great for the Giants for the standpoint of, yes, Russell Wilson
16:53was clearly named the starter before anything, right, heading into training camp, but Jackson
17:00Dart's play is pushing Russell Wilson to be better because Russ has looked the part much
17:07better than we've seen him over the last couple of years, certainly better than what we saw
17:10him at in Denver for certain here.
17:13So Jackson Dart continues to make Russell Wilson continue to push and also Jameis Winston behind
17:20him also looked actually pretty good, but it's the reaction from the teammates, like when
17:27Jackson Dart is on that field, I mean, he was 14 of 16, a buck 37 and a touchdown, you
17:32can clearly see the players love this kid, Jackson Dart, and that's going to mean something at
17:38some point in the season, there is a very short leash on Russell Wilson.
17:43The team likes Dart, and if they respect him, even as a rookie, then the Giants might have
17:50gotten the steal of the draft in a couple of years, Donnie.
17:54You know, it's going to be interesting the way that this plays out because I think you
17:58just hit the nail on the head.
18:00The Giants' expectations, again, opened up an ESPN bet, Joe, a three and a half as a team
18:04total, which is unbelievable.
18:05It actually got bet up to five and a half, which it basically stands.
18:08It's not that the Giants have a bad football team.
18:10Their schedule is so outlandish.
18:12It's incredibly challenging.
18:14But also, like Russell Wilson entering into the season, what's the best part about the
18:18Giants this year?
18:19Can they get to, let's just say, six wins?
18:21That doesn't buy you time with the veteran quarterback and Russell Wilson.
18:24Like if Russell Wilson, again, the Giants shock the world, right?
18:26Hey, we open up five and one on the season and Russ is the quarterback.
18:29Well, then that changes things.
18:30But the Giants are probably going to open up one and five on the season.
18:33So then you start to say, the fans are getting angry.
18:36They just want to see Dart.
18:38The ownership's like, hey, you know what?
18:39Maybe we'd make the right move with Russ here.
18:41But then you have self-preservation mode with the general manager and the head coach, where
18:44it almost seems like it's inevitable.
18:46Midway through the season, it's going to have to be Jackson Dart.
18:49Otherwise, what are we doing, Giants?
18:52Yeah.
18:52And listen, it's apparently this kid is very coachable because Dable loves him.
18:58They all love him.
18:59And the numbers are bearing out.
19:02I mean, you're talking about a guy, he averaged less than 2.3 seconds a throw.
19:08Rookies are always holding onto the ball too damn long, right?
19:11I mean, and he was one of them to start.
19:14But where he started and where he is now, it's clicking for him, Donnie.
19:20I mean, you can see.
19:21The game is slowed down for this kid.
19:24And he's picking apart defenses and making the right reads.
19:28I don't think you get to week five or six before you see him.
19:32I think if the Giants start 0-2 and you don't get the kind of performance you want from Russell
19:37Wilson, this kid's playing sooner rather than later this season.
19:42Come on.
19:43Give me the four wins.
19:44New York Giants.
19:45Other notable statistical matchups here from this past weekend.
19:48Cam Ward.
19:48Uh-oh.
19:492 of 7, 42 yards.
19:51Things not looking great in that Atlanta Falcons game.
19:53The one thing I did watch a little bit was Dylan Gabriel.
19:55He did throw a pick six, which not necessarily his fault.
19:58A little maybe the guy ran the wrong route.
20:00Jumped a nice play by Makuba for the Philadelphia Eagles.
20:02But he looked sharp.
20:03He was 13 of 18.
20:04He was throwing on the outs.
20:06He wasn't just, you know, Joe, sometimes you see rookies hang out in the pocket and the
20:09guy's wide open.
20:10So you hit him.
20:10He was throwing guys open.
20:11I liked what I saw in Dylan Gabriel.
20:13And then there's, hey, Quinn Ewers, 11 of 17 with two tutties as well this weekend.
20:17Yeah.
20:18And he opened up.
20:19I mean, he marched the team down the field.
20:21They put some points up on the board.
20:23He had a eight minute touchdown drive that in there.
20:27Listen, he made some stupid rookie mistakes, but it is what it is, right?
20:31I mean, the bottom line is Dylan Gabriel has got a lot of football under him here.
20:37He was, you know, one of the older guys coming out, played a ton of college football.
20:41So I don't think the moment was too big for him.
20:44There's obviously a learning curve here, but Dylan, is there a lot separating Shador and
20:49Dylan Gabriel right now outside of their draft position?
20:52No, that's it.
20:53Donnie, that's it.
20:54There's nothing else separating them.
20:56Nope.
20:57Other interesting ones.
20:58Hey, Ashton Jinty, seven carries for 33 yards, gets back into positive for his rushing
21:02yards in the preseason.
21:03Also scored a touchdown.
21:04Justin Fields, quick cameo there.
21:06One of five for four yards.
21:07Stetson Bennett.
21:08And that's how you love yourself some Stetson Bennett out there.
21:11I do.
21:1228 of 43, 24 and three tutties.
21:14Are we having a quarterback controversy, huh?
21:16I think he's your backup regardless there with the Rams.
21:21So, you know, Jimmy G is not going to get it done there, but this kid is fearless and
21:26you got to love what you're seeing from him.
21:29And he came back winning touchdown drive after throwing a costly interception.
21:34I like what we're getting from Stetson Bennett and the Rams backups here.
21:39And Brock Purdy there, five of seven for 66 yards.
21:43CJ Stroud, six of eight for 44 yards and a passing touchdown.
21:47And also Zach Wilson, 15 of 23 for a buck, 51 and a tutty out there.
21:52Backups trying to be backups to make teams as backup quarterbacks here.
21:56Some fun still left to be desired in week three of the preseason coming up.
22:00All right.
22:00How about this, Tom?
22:01We got you for a couple more seconds here.
22:02If we're taking a look at Cincinnati and Washington tonight, any feels on that game with a favorite
22:07towards Cincinnati?
22:07And Joe Burrell is going to play about a quarter.
22:10Yeah.
22:10If we could get a first quarter and or first half total, I'm not sure if the books have
22:15those listed specifically for the preseason, but the starters are going to be out there.
22:19You know, we got some juice at least early in the game and considering where the commanders
22:24have been in the preseason, get absolutely smoked by the Pats a couple of weeks ago.
22:29I think there's just a level of positive momentum that they want to build.
22:33You know, Terry McLaurin is still not there.
22:34There's trade rumors surrounding Brian Robinson.
22:36It's like, hey, we got to at least have something, some silver lining that we can grasp to going
22:40into the regular season.
22:42We go out there, even if we lose the game, if we can put up 14 points as starters, that's
22:46at least good to see.
22:48Yeah.
22:48One more week here, Tom, of the preseason in the NFL before final cuts come in and away
22:53we go into the regular season.
22:55By the way, did you take anything out of the preseason of football?
22:57Because Joe and I were talking, like for me, it's like, it's nice to see some of the
23:00younger rookies, but there is no correlation of how you play in the preseason to what week
23:05one is going to be.
23:07It's like, it's like preseason baseball.
23:08Like there were players that are actually crushing the ball and then they start the
23:11regular season.
23:12They're terrible.
23:12There are players in the preseason that can't hit a beach ball and they come out and they're
23:16hitting five home runs in the first 10 games.
23:18I take more away from the preseason when it comes to like dynasty football, dynasty fantasy
23:22football, which I'll be talking about tonight a little bit more on game time decisions, but
23:26nothing too much from a betting perspective.
23:28Tom Vecchio residency on game time decisions continues.
23:32By the way, like you, Joe Ranieri's over here.
23:34He's supposed to GTD.
23:35Tom Vecchio's supposed to GTD.
23:37Your boy hasn't, because you know why?
23:38They might make me permanent on that.
23:40Just how good I am.
23:41I hate the way it is.
23:42Thanks, Tom.
23:43We'll catch you later, man.
