00:00Welcome back everybody. Today we'll be seeing the first ever on-screen family member of Koop.
00:06I think the most we ever got before was just hearing his mom.
00:09But let's find out if he's as cool as Koop is.
00:22We open up on Koop in another fight, which Kiva tells him to be careful,
00:26or his opponent's core will basically explode, taking the whole planet with it.
00:31But of course, Koop still does what he always does and ends up damaging its core,
00:36so he quickly flies away from Earth's orbit and tosses it into space,
00:41where it makes a huge explosion.
00:43Which disrupts the dimension the Glorf'd are in, allowing them to escape and to get revenge on Koop.
00:50We also get this cool 3D shot of the Glorf'd ship,
00:54which looks pretty nice for the times.
00:57Once they get back to the house, we meet Koop's cousin, Skippy.
01:01Which I do see the family resemblance a bit, but man does this kid get on everybody's nerves.
01:07He keeps complaining that he's bored, so Koop takes him on a ride in Magus to the moon.
01:13While trying to impress Skippy, they stumble across the Glorf'd constructing a base.
01:18So Koop stealthily takes out a few of them so he can get farther into the base.
01:23Which will always impress me that he can stealth that well in a mech of all things.
01:29They then realize that they have built a gigantic engine.
01:33Seeing this, Koop makes his presence known, telling them to basically screw off.
01:39But Gorath tells him that they managed to rebuild their ship while they were gone,
01:45and now plan to use this engine to knock the moon out of its orbit and crash it into the earth.
01:51Koop tries to bash into the area to stop the launch, but the doors are too thick,
01:57so Kiva suggests one of them squeeze through an air vent to get inside.
02:01Skippy said he would do it, but Koop actually tells him no, because he thinks it's too dangerous.
02:07But he accidentally hits the ejector seat button, launching Skippy out and into the facility.
02:13Then Koop has to deal with the army of Gorath coming to stop him.
02:18And I wanted to say, with him using the arcade gun to shoot at them, and having to shoot off screen to reload,
02:25brings back so many memories of me playing House of the Dead.
02:29While fighting, he finds Skippy, who has the main switch that the Gorath needs to fire the engine.
02:35So not trusting Skippy with it, Koop grabs it from him and gloats to the Gorath.
02:41But while doing so, he drops it and manages to press the button.
02:46Not seeing a way out of this, Koop just randomly fires and stumbles into stopping the engine,
02:52and blowing up the Gorath base, stopping them once again.
02:56Once they get back to Earth, Skippy wants to come back again to hang out with the crew,
03:00but they do not want that.
03:03They also turn on the TV and see that blowing up part of the moon has made the weather patterns go insane,
03:09all across the Earth.
03:11So in the ending credits, we see Kiva making Koop gather all the smashed pieces of the moon,
03:17to at least try putting the Earth's ecosystem back on track.
03:21Alright, so first let's get Skippy out of the way.
03:24He is voiced by Frankie Ryan Manricuse.
03:27He was a child actor who was in a few things, but seemed to be mainly a live action actor who quit when he was 14.
03:35But moving on to Skippy's character, it seems the heroic genes run in the family.
03:41Because he was down to go on a solo mission, and when he was alone, he managed to stall the Gorath,
03:48and it was Koop who messed everything up.
03:50I honestly would've liked to see him in other episodes.
03:54And I'm sure the way he was acting is just his teenage phase, and he would've eventually grew out of it.
04:00And Jaime didn't really do much this episode, he was mainly just complaining about Skippy.
04:06But it was interesting that Kiva mentioned in her timeline the moon had a chunk blown off of it,
04:12but by the end of this episode, she made Koop repair the damage.
04:16So either Koop fails to do so, and she at least tried to make it better,
04:21or he succeeded, but something else in the future damages it again.
04:26For Koop, we get two main character moments for him this episode.
04:31First is that he does care about his cousin, even though he was a major annoyance.
04:37He does at least want to be a responsible adult, even though he usually has an immature, laid-back personality most of the time.
04:45And the second one was that he confirms that he is not afraid to kill his enemies,
04:50since he said he thought he killed the Glorft in their last battle.
04:54So Koop does not have a no-kill rule.
04:58It was also nice to see the Glorft again, and it seems that we will see more of them throughout the season.
05:04This was a surprisingly enjoyable episode.
05:07I would like to know what you guys thought of it, and Skippy.
