00:00We've got a situation where unemployment has gone up for 10 months in a row. It's getting harder for
00:06people to get into work and hand in hand with that we're seeing more people sign on to benefits
00:11where there are a million more people going on to benefits since Labour came into office. To me this
00:17is a clear result of Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves' mismanagement of the economy. The taxes
00:23they've put on businesses, the jobs tax which has made businesses find it much harder to afford to
00:29recruit people and indeed making people redundant. Coupled with that we've got Labour's total failure
00:34to get a grip on the welfare bill despite their attempts to do so before the parliament break for
00:41the summer recess. Actually their attempt to make savings ended up in them actually spending more
00:45because they caved into their backbench rebels. So this is Labour not managing the economy, not
00:50managing welfare properly. As a result I think we're almost certainly going to see taxes go up
00:55in a very painful autumn budget.
