Rat infestations are reported to be on the rise. We asked people in Birmingham whether they’ve noticed more pests in their area, and what they think might be causing the problem.

00:23that I just think it's people's general inclinations put things in the bin which

00:28seems to be disappearing and people are just quite happy to throw things on the

00:31floor and I think the messier that things get the more comfortable people are to do

00:34that now which is a shame really because it just adds to the problem um I have

00:40personally but I think the area where I work is Hockley in Birmingham and they've

00:46had the bin strike so I think there's a lot more rubbish on the streets for sure

00:50so that's not gonna help is it what I noticed someone we were coming in on the

00:53boss there's quite a lot of litter yeah lots of lots of litter there's quite

00:57yeah noticeable as well isn't it
