00:00Hello there, good morning. It's set to be another hot one today, more sunshine around
00:05too, though the day might not start off as such this morning. We've had some thundery
00:09showers overnight and these will still move their way north-eastwards into parts of Northern
00:12Ireland, northern parts of England, so still a chance of showers here, mostly isolated
00:17but they could be heavy if not quite thundery. But in particular, in the afternoon, there
00:21are going to be a return of the blue skies and plenty of sunshine to go around. Once
00:26again, it is set to be a very hot day, this time not just across the south-east, across
00:30parts of central England too. Likely, we'll see temperatures moving into the mid-thirties
00:35but even across Scotland, northern parts of England, Northern Ireland, still widely in
00:39the mid to high-twenties. Not much wind around either, so it is going to feel quite intense
00:43in that sunshine, so take care if you are out and about. And then through into the evening,
00:48we'll see a repeat of conditions, another warm, muggy night to come, particularly across
00:53parts of this south. We'll also see some low cloud drag in across parts of Wales and some
00:58southern counties, so it could be quite a gloomy start but it is going to feel quite warm and
01:02muggy still. And still, once again, a chance of some showers just trying to push in to parts
01:06of Scotland by the morning. Once again, fairly isolated but a chance we could hear some rumbles
01:10of thunder. And towns and cities across this south and south-east, once again, not really
01:15dropping much past 17 to 18 degrees and even across the north, widely in the mid-teens. So
01:21it's going to be another warm start to the day. Any cloud across Wales, parts of the south,
01:26it may linger for a time before eventually the heat will allow that cloud to lift and
01:30break, allowing plenty of blue skies. The risk of showers is still on the cards. Northern
01:34parts of Scotland could see some heavy, if not thundery, showers. Northern Ireland and
01:38even later into the afternoon, parts of the south-east too could see a risk of showers,
01:43which may turn heavy and thundery. Keep an eye on the forecast to find out exactly where
01:47the showers could be closer to the time. But otherwise, most of England and Wales are going
01:51to see another very hot day and plenty of sunshine. Now, temperatures slightly lower,
01:56but nevertheless, it is still going to be feeling hot, starting to push into the low 30s across
02:01central parts of England, eastern and north-eastern parts of England too. Many areas are going to see
02:05those warm temperatures. But as the week goes on, we'll see a slight dip in the temperatures,
02:10but it is still going to be remaining fairly warm. And it's still due to low pressure out to the west,
02:15eventually drifting its way north-eastwards towards the UK. But high pressure, mostly dominating.
02:20So still lots of dry, settled conditions. Still with that warm, humid air, there's a chance of
02:25some heavy showers at times. But mostly warm, settled as the week goes on. But if you want more details,
02:32you can catch Alex Burkhill with more details on the week ahead weather on YouTube.
