00:00It also speaks about threats to the people of the Lord.

00:04Chapter 2, verse 10, it says,

00:06This they shall have for their pride,

00:09because they have reproached and made arrogant threats

00:11against the people of the Lord of hosts.

00:14So if these people are against God,

00:16they're also going to be against the people who belong to God.

00:19So are the people of the Lord of hosts.

00:22Do you count yourself amongst the people of the Lord of hosts?

00:25If you believe in Jesus, then you certainly are.

00:28And you're going to see there's going to be a spirit in the world

00:30which is going to be against you,

00:31an Antichrist spirit, which will get more and more strong

00:33as we get to the second coming of Jesus the Messiah.

00:38The Lord also has a covenant with the people of Israel,

00:40which hasn't been annulled because of the coming of Jesus.

00:44Some changes made to it, but God still has a covenant with Israel,

00:47and there's going to be a hostility to the Jewish people

00:50in the world at the end of days.

00:53And you can see that that is growing.

00:54You see some of the major forces which are both against Christians

00:57but also against Jews.

00:59Whether it's Islam, whether it's radical leftism,

01:02all these forces have a common root in their opposition to God

01:06and therefore also their opposition to the people of God.

01:12And it also goes on to speak about corrupt rulers and judges.

01:19Chapter 3, verse 3.

01:21Her princes in her midst of roaring lions,

01:23her judges are evening wolves

01:24that leave not a bone until morning.

01:27Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people.

01:29Her priests have polluted the sanctuary.

01:31They've done violence to the law.

01:34So he's saying that one of the features of this time

01:36is also going to be there's going to be a lot of corruption

01:37in the area of government.

01:41The princes are going to be like roaring lions,

01:46going to be corrupt.

01:47The judges are going to be like evening wolves.

01:49So you're going to see corruption in the area of government

01:52and of the expression of the law.

01:55Do you see that taking place in the world today?

01:58Increasingly so.

02:00And you see the prophets are going to be insolent.

02:02There's going to be people who are going to be speaking things

02:03in the name of the Lord which are against the Lord.

02:06And you're going to be priests who've polluted the sanctuary.

02:10Do you see any of that happening in the world today?

02:13Do you see churches which have been defiled

02:15with bringing in the gay pride and rainbow flag,

02:19bringing in Islam and other religions into the church,

02:21polluting the sanctuary, polluting things which are of God

02:24by bringing in unholy things which are unrighteous

02:28in the eyes of the Lord.

02:30And so you have this general spirit which leads to violence

02:34and leads to immorality, leads to rebellion against the Lord.
