02:41And we will get to those comments, questions, whatever it is, in a future episode.
02:45Tonight, a lot to cover.
02:47We're going to get into all of it.
02:48And hopefully, not take up all of your evening in the process.
02:53Let's get started with some of the simple news of the day.
02:56The big news of the week, I think, more so than the SummerSlam results and whatnot, all of that stuff is fantastic.
03:06But what I think is even more interesting is the conversation around WWE and their new deal that they have made with ESPN.
03:16Many people very frustrated about this.
03:19Now, there's mixed conversation about this.
03:21Some people are of the opinion that everybody in the world pretty much is going to be paying $30 a month to have WWE premium live events.
03:30There's the other report out that if you've got cable of some sort that you will not be paying for, you'll be streaming through ESPN, doing a validation process through, say, DirecTV or whatever you might have, Verizon or whatnot.
03:43Then there's another report that comes out and says that it's going to be very selective.
03:47Not all cable providers will be included in the deal, which would be very problematic.
03:51And, you know, I think what is the most shocking thing is if you are a person who is from somewhere outside of the United States or if you are somebody inside the United States using a VPN, you can use Peacock ongoing, WWE Network in some places still going.
04:06But here in the United States, they just want you to pay 9,000 different ways to get every show that they possibly offer.
04:12I'm of the opinion, me personally, I'm a DirecTV user, not trying to plug DirecTV or anything like that, but they've been good to me over the years.
04:19So hopefully I get it for free.
04:21And I've had the thing where, like, when I want to see the episodes of the biography and whatnot from A&E, I can log in using my DirecTV login.
04:29I can see those shows for free on their website and stream those.
04:33I'm hoping this will be similar, but I also hope that this is extended to everybody who has traditional cable.
04:38I think that's part of the motivation behind this is with all the streaming services out there, ESPN is making a play to give you a reason to retain your regular broadcast television service.
04:51Because there's still huge media rights deals to be made from that.
04:54Now, a lot of people were frustrated saying, you know, how come ESPN was able to do this, Peacock didn't try to re-up and whatnot.
05:01Apparently, Peacock did try to re-up.
05:04They made an offer of $275 million per year to get the rights to retain WWE programming.
05:11And apparently that wasn't good enough for WWE.
05:14So, WWE's deal with ESPN is $325 million a year.
05:20It's a $50 million difference.
05:22It's a five-year deal.
05:23You're talking about $1.6 billion.
05:25Big, big bucks there.
05:26And then when you really fact break it down, they're getting the PLEs.
05:30They're not bringing in all the content.
05:32The content, if you've been noticing, on YouTube, there is a slow migration of classic WWE programming to the WWE Vault channel on YouTube.
05:41So, there is speculation out there that that would be the new home of all of their video library, which, let's be honest, I actually like what Peacock has.
05:50I don't like the search function, but I do like what Peacock has.
05:53But even the Peacock app doesn't have everything.
05:57These guys literally own every library that is of any importance with the exception of Ring of Honor and AEW.
06:03And they could probably license the TNA one if they really tried it with that partnership.
06:07Now that they own AAA, I guess you could say they don't have a CMLL either.
06:11I think Tony Khan at this point better start making some deals with New Japan and CMLL to have their own streaming platform to try to counter all this.
06:18But at the end of the day, all that other programming, the original content, the old Coliseum video stuff, the regional wrestling promotions all throughout the country that they've purchased.
06:31Mid-South, AWA, World Class, all that kind of stuff, Continental, those are going to be housed probably on YouTube because nobody's bid for that yet.
06:41And the NXT premium live events have not been included in this ESPN deal exclusively.
06:46And there was also conversation about some of the PLEs will be put out live on ESPN.
06:52So what is it really?
06:54Is it going to be the only the big ones?
06:56Are we talking about like the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, maybe Money in the Bank?
07:02Are the smaller PLEs like the day one kind of stuff?
07:05Are they going to go to a traditional television broadcast on ESPN?
07:10We'll have to wait and see.
07:11Still a lot to work out here, but it is very interesting.
07:14I know there are a ton of people upset about paying $30 a month.
07:18And there's other people who argue like, wait, back in the day you would pay $30, $45, then $50, then $60, then $70, then $80, and $100 for pay-per-views back in the day.
07:27And we've kind of been spoiled for the last several years, ever since the WWE Network came out to $9.99 a month, that we haven't been paying for pay-per-views anymore.
07:34They're no longer pay-per-views anymore.
07:37They're now premium live events, and we were getting all those included in whatever streaming service was relevant at the time.
07:42This is almost going to a pay-per-view model again in a lot of ways for a lot of people.
07:47You're spending $30 a month and $30.
07:49Most people who are going to be grabbing a hold of this are not the ones who are looking to increase their ESPN consumption.
07:55They just want to get the PLEs.
07:57I, for one, just being honest, if it works for DirecTV, great.
08:01I'll watch your PLEs.
08:02If it falls off the radar and suddenly they don't give it to DirecTV, I'm out.
08:06I'm not dropping $30 a month to watch your PLEs.
08:08I'll watch the highlight shows when the show's over, and I'll read the spoilers if I have to.
08:12But I'm not going to be paying $30 a month for WWE program when a lot of times it's not a program that really thrills me.
08:21Many times it is, but it's not always that situation.
08:24So, again, we'll have to wait and see.
08:26The other conversations of the week have all centered primarily on SummerSlam fallout, obviously the return of Brock Lesnar.
08:34It even bled into SmackDown.
08:36SmackDown, we opened the show this week with John Cena calling out Brock Lesnar, which, of course, Lesnar did not come out.
08:42I do love the fact that WWE jumped right into a, gosh, let me think how to say this.
08:48Brock Lesnar's never been the guy who shows up on every week's television where Logan Paul will pretty much show up whenever you want him.
08:54And as much as people may love or hate Logan Paul, and you're free to feel however you want,
08:58I am gaining immense respect for Logan Paul because of, one, the work ethic he's displaying, the quality of his matches,
09:06the high spots he's willing to put on, the stuff he's willing to risk and do with his body.
09:10And I get it. There are a lot of heinous things that took place early in his career, a lot of stupid scams with money and all that kind of stuff.
09:16And we all know about the forest issue when he was overseas.
09:20I get it. I understand holding that for the guy.
09:23But putting all things in perspective, there comes a time when the guy's trying to give back and do better.
09:30And I'm hoping that he continues to do that.
09:32And at some point, he does become the character, the man.
09:36You know, we talked recently about Hulk Hogan's passing and how different the character from the human being was.
09:40I'm hoping that the human being of Logan Paul has matured enough that fans will eventually get behind him,
09:46maybe even turn in babyface at some point.
09:48But I love going into SmackDown, seeing him get mixed up with John Cena.
09:51I love that coming out, really trying to solidify the full Cena babyface turn.
09:56He's already teaming up with Cody Rhodes to take on Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
10:00I thought that was solid. I had no problem with any of it.
10:03I can't wait to see all of it at Clash at the Castle. I think it's going to be fantastic.
10:08That show is going to be stacked.
10:11Let's look at the rest of what's happened at SmackDown real quick.
10:14JC Matteo and Talatanga taking on the Motor City Machine Guns.
10:17Hate this for the Machine Guns because I think they belong in the championship picture.
10:21I think they should have held the belts longer.
10:23But gotta say, I don't have a problem seeing Matteo and Talatanga going out there and challenging for the Tag Team Championship.
10:30Here's the only problem I have.
10:31I would have loved to have seen Tama Tanga and Tanga Loa win those belts at some point
10:35and to face off against the Usos for the Tag Team Championship.
10:38We've never gotten a chance to see that.
10:40And with Tama Tanga being out for such an extended period of time, who knows if we ever will.
10:43And Tanga Loa has his own timing issues and whatnot.
10:47So who knows when we'll ever see that.
10:49But the match here was actually pretty solid.
10:51And the whole MFT clan is just, it's over like we're over right now.
10:55It's good stuff.
10:57Sola Sokoa got involved in this situation.
11:00It was obvious that there was going to be something going on with him.
11:02And it led to the match with Sami Zayn.
11:05I think a lot of people were surprised to see Sami Zayn pick up a win so cleanly.
11:10You know, the quick roll up, but it's still a clean win.
11:13Coming off of Sokoa beating Jacob Fatu in the cage.
11:17What I didn't like, not that much, but what I didn't like is where was Jacob Fatu?
11:23You lose a cage match.
11:24If he was laid out in the cage, it makes sense.
11:26But he wasn't.
11:27He beat the living snot out of the rest of the faction.
11:30So he left the pay-per-view relatively strong.
11:33And he should have been at SmackDown and he wasn't.
11:35So I don't understand that.
11:36I don't understand the booking.
11:38They went on to the Charlotte Flair Alexa Bliss birthday presentation thing that Chelsea
11:43Green and her click interrupted.
11:47I was fine with all of it.
11:48I just want to see Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, Alba Fire presented in a more prominent
11:54way as being legitimate competitors.
11:57Legitimately having a chance to do something of importance in the tag team division.
12:02And why Chelsea has just given up her quest for the United States Women's Championship,
12:07I don't understand.
12:08I think she is such an underappreciated.
12:11And look, I watched Unreal and I love that they emphasized her a little bit in that show.
12:16But emphasizing doesn't mean anything if you don't follow it up with pushing the girl.
12:20Great.
12:21She got in a U.S. championship run for a very short period of time, comparatively speaking
12:25to many of these championship runs lately.
12:27And they've really done a whole lot of nothing with her ever since.
12:30I get it.
12:31Maybe she's the comedic, take the clean pin every week girl, but I hate that for her
12:34because she is so much better than that.
12:36But leads to a match.
12:38Charlotte Flair, Chelsea, Charlotte wins.
12:40I don't think any surprises took place there.
12:42And then we get into the John Cena, Cody Rhodes versus McIntyre, Logan Paul thing.
12:45This was fun.
12:47Shocked to see Cena in a match that fast after SummerSlam, but this was fun.
12:51It was a good match.
12:53Some good spots.
12:55There was a disqualification finish, which is great because it keeps everybody strong.
12:59The brawling after the fact made a lot of sense and really sets up Clash of the Castle
13:06to be just a fantastic pay-per-view.
13:09There's a lot going to be going on in that show and I am looking forward to a lot of it.
13:13Speaking of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, also in the news this week, a lot of people
13:18confused over the Jelly Roll tag team match at SummerSlam.
13:22Apparently, Jelly Roll was the one who pitched the idea of him losing.
13:25Apparently, he was originally supposed to win, which is kind of what everybody expected
13:29because the celebrity, not that Logan Paul is not one, but he's obviously the more frequent performer.
13:34The one-off celebrity is usually the one who gets the win.
13:37It was actually his idea that he would be the one to take the pin and lose.
13:42What a quality human being for the wrestling business.
13:46In all seriousness, the effort he put in to get ready for this show, everything else, this is great.
13:52It's great to see how selfless he is in terms of his fandom for the sport, for wanting to get involved,
13:59and really wanting to be the one to put over the heel tag team, according to Fightful Select, that is.
14:05But the original plan apparently was for him to win his first ever contest with Randy Orton, but that was not the way they did it.
14:12And I love it.
14:13You love that he had some creative input into what was going on, and we'll have to see where that goes from there.
14:19But at this point, nothing but mad respect.
14:23I think he far exceeded any expectations anybody had.
14:26More WWE news.
14:27We're still waiting to figure out what the heck is going on with Karrion Kross and Starlet.
14:32Everybody's been waiting to find out.
14:34The Wrestling Observer Radio has their conversation piece was they said there was an offer that was made that people internally confirmed that,
14:45that this is just how WWE handles contracts now.
14:49But we don't know if the offer was accepted, if they're coming back.
14:56He did post online that he was hoping to still be on the Raw brand and whatnot, but they'd have to wait and see.
15:02He said that he doesn't believe anything he sees.
15:04He hasn't seen anything.
15:05Nobody's telling the truth about things.
15:06He put out a TikTok video, not the app TikTok, but a video with a time thing for TikTok,
15:13talking about his free agency coming up.
15:16So still a lot of confusion about what's going on with him.
15:20And hopefully they get this, you know, squared away.
15:23Because it's one of those things where at this point he is so over that I think it's really a bad idea to let them walk.
15:31I think he has done enough that he deserves an opportunity to really just, you know, move forward with this.
15:40And let's face it, I think the last guy that got over to the level that he is independent of WWE's push was like Zack Ryder, Matt Cardona.
15:50And that's years ago.
15:51So great for him.
15:53I wish him nothing but the best.
15:55Him and Scarlett.
15:56I actually hope they let Scarlett do something physical if they did re-up.
15:59But we'll have to wait and see.
16:01Somebody who is still under contract, contrary to the popular belief, is Austin Theory.
16:08He, there was some, some confusing reports.
16:11Some people claiming that he had been released by WWE.
16:13Not the case.
16:14According to Fightful Select, he is currently listed along with all the other talents in WWE that are currently injured.
16:20Ilya Dragunov, Zoe Stark, people like that.
16:23That he is still with the company.
16:24It's a legitimate injury.
16:25And that he will be back at some point.
16:27Obviously he'll pick up where he left off and have a feud with Grayson Waller.
16:30Makes a lot of sense.
16:31And probably flip him baby face.
16:33Wonderful.
16:34I think this is the guy who only a short time ago was having great matches and a feud with Bobby Lashley.
16:39Doing the pose off with him.
16:41And I thought he really had everything you needed to be a great star in WWE for whatever reason.
16:48Maybe because he was a Vince guy and Vince went away.
16:51Just dropped the ball on him.
16:52But hopefully they find something really meeting his talent level when he returns.
16:59Another tidbit for WWE fans.
17:02Former WWE Champion Dave Bautista is joining Amazon's Roadhouse sequel.
17:07Which, if you didn't watch the first one, I don't mean the original from the 80s with Patrick Swayze, but the more recent Roadhouse.
17:14He's apparently appearing in this, and this is for me and people who are like me.
17:19He's also going to be playing the role of Kurgan in the Highlander remake.
17:23For those who don't know what Highlander is, it's the fantasy movie series.
17:27People walking around immortals with swords lopping off each other's head.
17:30Trying to gain the other person's knowledge and experience and power.
17:34In the end, there can be only one.
17:36Kurgan was a huge character in the original film way back in the early 80s.
17:41And I'm really looking forward to that being released and seeing how he does playing the role of Kurgan.
17:48So great for him.
17:49Still pushing all the tickets in Hollywood.
17:54Would I have loved to have seen him stay in wrestling?
17:56Of course.
17:57But at his age now, and let's face it, he started relatively later in the game.
18:00I think this is great that he's able to find such a great opportunity in Hollywood and still be doing it for his fans.
18:06Got to touch on some of the, how do we say it, some of the less comfortable stuff of the week.
18:13Hulk Hogan in the news again, which is a shame to say when someone has recently passed.
18:18But Brooke Hogan confirming why her father refused to walk her down the aisle.
18:23He was just done with weddings.
18:24He didn't want anything to do with it.
18:25He said he had been in enough of them, which I think really bothered her.
18:28Again, she called into the Bubba Love Sponge, his, the Bubba Army podcast.
18:33She said, she said that he said, Nope, I don't, I don't do weddings.
18:38I don't do funerals anymore.
18:40And she was like, you know what?
18:41Hey dad, even for me.
18:42And he goes, Nope, you guys have fun.
18:44You got my blessing.
18:45But like, you know, I, you can't get me to leave the beach, which is shocking to me.
18:49I really would have thought that he would have been more there for his daughter.
18:53And then he talked about never getting married again, but then he, he ended up getting married
18:57again.
18:58So very strange stuff there.
19:00Um, the other bit this week, Eric Bischoff talking about how he was completely unaware
19:04of any reported leukemia battle Hogan may have been having as is Brooke.
19:08Brooke thinks it's a complete work, um, that it's not true.
19:12Bischoff lending his, um, suspicions that it may not be accurate out there.
19:18I mean, when you think about how many times Hulk Hogan had surgery, you would have thought
19:21somebody would have picked up on this stuff, but apparently not so much.
19:25Uh, another former WWE superstar, Jake Hager, um, formerly Jack Swagger has announced that
19:30he's essentially, he's retired from wrestling.
19:33He says, I'm getting out of wrestling.
19:34Uh, the quote here is I'm pretty much, I could say I'm retired from it.
19:38I started a trucking company running routes through Tampa and Florida.
19:42I'm not driving.
19:43Not me.
19:44He said I got people driving.
19:45I'm excited.
19:46It's something to sink my teeth into, you know, it's hard work and it pays off.
19:49So, you know, Jake Hager for all the opportunity, the time that people who thought he was such
19:53a horrible person to put the world heavyweight championship on back in the day when he cashed
19:57you money in the bank over Chris Jericho.
19:59Um, glad to see he's doing something of substance post wrestling.
20:02Um, wish him all the best.
20:04And it's great to know that he was able to parlay his wrestling success and the money
20:07he made from that into a very successful business, which is wonderful.
20:10I'm actually really confident that a lot of that money Tony Khan paid him in AEW probably
20:15helped fund all this.
20:16Speaking of AEW, let's jump into some AEW conversation.
20:19Tony Khan gave us an update this week on Jay White.
20:22Switchblade has been out for a significant period of time.
20:25Um, he is unfortunately, apparently going to be out for the foreseeable future.
20:30The quote from Tony Khan, um, was, uh, Jay White's one of the best wrestlers in the world.
20:35Unfortunately, he's going to be out a long time.
20:38Um, this was on the, my mom's basement with Robbie Fox.
20:40Um, he said, I think Jay White's a great example of that.
20:43He's a player.
20:44You figure into your plans.
20:45If some star like that in any sports gets injured, you're going to have to change your
20:50plans because guess what?
20:51He definitely is in your plans.
20:52But unfortunately at this point, he is going to be out for the foreseeable future,
20:56which is a shame.
20:57I mean, every time it seems like every time he comes back or somebody in his group comes
21:01back, they get some momentum and then it's just out from under him, which is really a shame
21:04because he's, he's a phenomenal star.
21:06It's one of those people who I thought WWE should have jumped on when he was a free agent
21:10from new Japan.
21:11They didn't.
21:12Um, Tony Khan did and he, it's almost like he's been snake bitten ever since he's had
21:15a few decent programs, but certainly not on the level that I thought he was going to
21:19be because that guy, I mean, wow, incredibly talented.
21:22Other AEW news backstage reports indicate there could have been some heat with the hurt syndicate,
21:27specifically MVP, um, having some opinions about speedball, Mike Bailey.
21:32Um, and, and basically him not wanting to put jet speed over for the tag team championship.
21:38People debating like who the heck's going to win the tag team championship.
21:41If it's not them, you know, who do you go to next?
21:43Who is the next tag team that could potentially, um, take the belts off of the hurt syndicate?
21:49There was some conversation about, you know, FTR being that team, but you really want to
21:54see FTR and the whole like cope and, and Christian reunion reunion thing.
21:58Um, who else is left?
22:00You know what I mean?
22:01Like you've got the gates of agony, private party, the outrunners.
22:04There's a lot of teams there, but they've kind of blown through all those guys in, in
22:09short order.
22:10So there's not a lot of reason to put one of those guys over.
22:13So there's not a lot left unless they're going to craft a new team out of, out of some
22:18points, but at some point you got to move Lashley out of the tag team and get them into
22:21the main scene because when they dropped MVP or I'm sorry, not MVP, uh, when they dropped
22:27MJF from the group this past week, um, which to me was shocking and too fast.
22:32The other thing about that was he was, you know, MVP told MJF, I'm hoping you don't win
22:37your triple B because if you do Bobby Lashley will be targeting you and he likes him.
22:42You know, um, clearly Bobby Lashley has world championship aspirations in the future.
22:47I hope he gets them to be perfectly honest with you.
22:49Um, but, uh, we'll have to wait and see.
22:51Let's move into some, some of the independent conversation, uh, Portland area independent
22:56show.
22:57It was supposedly booked this past week canceled, uh, because they booked somebody.
23:02They never had any business booking.
23:04Um, currently blackballed from the industry, former superstar, Joey Ryan, who at this point
23:09is about 45 years old.
23:11If you don't remember who Joey Ryan is, he's been out of wrestling for about five years.
23:15When the speaking out movement took place, there were, you know, I mean, I want to say
23:20something like 17, 18, 20, some obnoxious number of, uh, accusations from several women
23:27about misconduct, um, and whatnot.
23:30And in all transparency and full, and to be fair, he's never been charged with anything.
23:36I we've, there's never been any reports.
23:38PW insider, uh, was the one who broke this news, but even they have never really said
23:42that there was ever, um, let me think of a way to phrases any accountability for any
23:46of his past indiscretions.
23:48Doesn't mean they didn't happen, but there's basically an unspoken agreement across the
23:53independent wrestling scene that you don't book Joey Ryan.
23:55Uh, the promoter for the show was claiming that the reason that he was booking him is
24:00because all this other talent were unavailable.
24:02He was reasonably priced.
24:04Um, other local guys wanted to work with him.
24:07Um, and he hadn't been in that location since 2014.
24:10Um, he put out a statement that he had soberingly repented from the man he was in the past.
24:16Like this booker was trying so hard to justify booking him.
24:21Um, and it was not getting over and a lot of backlash.
24:26The entire show ended up being canceled, which then it almost seemed like he was giving people
24:30attitude because the show was supposed to be, um, a nonprofit event and they were going
24:34to send the proceeds to a different cause.
24:37And now the show has been canceled, so they won't be able to donate that money.
24:40It's almost like he was being bitter about it, but you know, despite the fact that the
24:44Joey Ryan never faced criminal charges, um, the promotions just, they've parted ways with
24:49them.
24:50They don't want anything to do with it.
24:51At one point he was booked on a show and, uh, say AEW talent was supposed to be on the
24:54show.
24:55Tony Khan let them know right away.
24:56He's like, if he wrestles, I'll pull every AEW star from that show.
24:59Nobody wants anything to do with the guys.
25:01It was really shocking that this Portland wrestling event was booked or that they booked
25:05him.
25:06Um, and if you don't remember who Joey Ryan is, it may not be a bad thing.
25:09This is the guy who his whole gimmick was he was for lack of better terms.
25:14He was kind of like a Chippendale would stick a, a lollipop in his trunks and like pull it
25:19out mid match and shove it in other people's mouths.
25:22He'd wrestle women and men.
25:24Um, he would do a disgusting move where he'd have people put their hand between his legs
25:30and he would like almost hulk up and then do this like flip with his, his, his manhood.
25:36And it was just, it was ludicrous and absolutely ridiculous.
25:39There's videos online if you really care to see it.
25:41Um, but when, when you find out what kind of scumbag he was in terms of the speaking
25:46out movement, it makes it so the move itself becomes even more disgusting.
25:49Um, if you ever get a chance to watch the, uh, Stevie Richards podcast, he was even talking
25:53about his, his one and only interaction with the guy.
25:55He was booking a show and he offered to have Stevie on the show and perform three times.
25:59But he didn't want to pay him.
26:01He wanted Stevie to be thankful that he was going to book him on the show.
26:04What a, what a, what a ridiculous statement.
26:06Stevie Richards done a whole lot more in the industry than Joey Ryan ever has.
26:09And here he thought he was doing him a favor.
26:11So just glad to see that nobody's booking the guy.
26:14And look, I'm not one of those people.
26:15Doesn't think anybody can ever repent, but some things are too much to come back from.
26:18And this is a, it is a privilege to step foot in the ring and entertain the fans.
26:23And if you are that kind of person, I just don't think you have a place.
26:26I really don't go do something else with your life.
26:28Um, then again, I say that and the guy went to work at Disney world until fans let Disney
26:32know that who he was and what he had done in the past and they fired him too.
26:35So maybe he's having a tough time doing anything with his life, but hopefully he gets himself
26:39together.
26:40I had heard he had gone to a lot of therapy and all kinds of stuff.
26:43So I, you know, I wish him well, I just don't want to see him in the ring.
26:46Um, and then we're going to end our last tidbit tonight, former ring of honor world champion,
26:50Jonathan Gresham, um, difficult conversation this week.
26:54He, uh, apparently suffered from two strokes this week.
26:58Uh, we have a quote here from him that he put on X.
27:01It says two days ago, I woke up and couldn't walk or move the left side of my body.
27:05I couldn't see and could barely talk.
27:07I took me 30 minutes to dial 911, but I finally did.
27:10I woke up in the hospital.
27:11Couldn't remember what happened.
27:12They told me they had done an MRI and I had two strokes.
27:16He said, I've had a lot of tests run, but everything's come back clean.
27:19They're not sure what happened.
27:20The only thing they said was it could have been a possible complication from a bad case
27:24of COVID.
27:25He had a couple of weeks ago.
27:26They said, we may never know the exact reason.
27:28Needless to say, this is the part that shocks me.
27:31He says, I will be taking the next two to four weeks off from wrestling to recover
27:35and get cleared fully by my neurologist.
27:38Two to four weeks after suffering two strokes.
27:41That's insane.
27:43Um, if you don't know more about Jonathan Gresham,
27:45his wife is Jordan grace, current NXT superstar.
27:48Um, she was at the hospital with him.
27:50Um, and hopefully, uh, you know, she still was able to fly to the hospital and see him,
27:56uh, when he woke up, which is wonderful.
27:58Um, he's, you know, Gresham himself, 37 years old, former ring of honor, world champion.
28:03Um, he left TNA wrestling in 2025.
28:06He's now a free agent.
28:07Um, he's makes, you know, regular appearances on the indie scene.
28:10Um, incredible talent, a little on the shorter side of things, but incredible talents.
28:14One of those guys I think would do great on NXT if they'd ever give him an opportunity.
28:17Um, maybe not so easy with his age, but cause you know, WWE is like on this youth kick,
28:22but definitely somebody should check out his videos.
28:24If you can find them online, he is an incredibly talented young man.
28:26His mask that he wears to the ring is one of my favorite entry gear pieces ever.
28:31Uh, you gotta check that out.
