00:00If you're stepping up to face the Killer B, then expect to be stunned.
00:04Here's a look at the Jada Toys, the Ultimate Street Fighter 2, the Final Challengers, Kami.
00:22Step into the ring and experience the thrill of battle with the Street Fighter 2 Kami 6-inch action figure by Jada Toys.
00:27It's meticulously crafted in 1-12 scale, this collectible figure brings one of the most iconic characters from the Street Fighter series to life.
00:34Kami, known for her fierce fighting style and determined spirit, is ready to join your collection with unmatched detail and articulation.
00:40All I may feel bad that Kami was made into one of Bison's dolls, it feels still pretty good though that Jada Toys made her into one of their figures.
00:47Before we get a closer look at Kami, all the accessories that she comes included with, let's back it up just a bit.
00:52Boop, boop, boop, boop.
00:54And let's take a tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
00:56Now, she's actually one of the shortest of the Street Fighter figures.
00:59She's actually even shorter than Chung Lee.
01:01She's standing, though, only about 5 1⁄4 inches, 5 3⁄4, excuse me, 5 3⁄4 of an inch in height,
01:07translating to a figure that's about 14 centimeters tall.
01:10Yeah, compared with Chung Lee, Kami is in fact shorter.
01:13When you put them even back to back, you'll see that she is.
01:16Isn't even just the fact that the buns on the sides of Chung Lee head give her a little more extra height.
01:21Her head is in fact actually shorter than Chung Lee's.
01:23Bringing in some of the other figures as well that we've already had a look at.
01:26Here's what she looks like with Ryu.
01:28A red version of Ryu, or Ken Masters if you prefer.
01:32Here's also what the figure looks like with Guile.
01:35Bringing in Blanca off to the far side.
01:37I don't even know if he's still even going to be able to fit in the back here.
01:40Let's see if we can do this.
01:42And here's also what the figure looks like with Sakat.
01:44Kami, if you could believe, is one of the few figures that actually don't come in clue with the display stand.
01:48In the times we've looked at before, the display stands usually are the things that attach onto the effect pieces.
01:53Just so that they can actually levitate.
01:56These don't necessarily leave Kami's body.
01:58They more so attach actually onto the end of her boots.
02:01So you're going to take the figure and you're just going to bend her foot like this.
02:04With the reach at least that the legs give you, you can easily give her a high kick.
02:09And then you're basically just going to take the piece and wedge it onto the end of her boots.
02:13Something somewhat similar like this.
02:15I believe this is the cannon strike.
02:17You can let me know down below in the comment section if that's not correct.
02:20The only thing unfortunately about that though is that she doesn't really then have the means to stand on her own.
02:26I'm sure you probably could still then make use of a display stand.
02:29So if you have yourself, let's just grab one off to the side here.
02:31A McFarland Toys.
02:33Always the go-to.
02:33Always the go-to.
02:34We just attach that onto the bottom of her feet.
02:37Just like that.
02:38And that might be just the thing that we need in order to get the figure to stand properly.
02:42Yeah, because just without that, there's no real way that she's going to be able to do a high kick like that.
02:47In fact, most of the time when she's doing the cannon strike, she's leaping down in the air.
02:51You wouldn't obviously be able to pull that off with the figure that way.
02:54Removing the stand for right now and the effect piece actually just before we actually remove that.
02:58I wanted to show you though, I love the way they've transitioned the color.
03:01It sort of, first of all, starts as a spiral.
03:04Kind of a drill bit.
03:05And it starts in clear and it makes its way then into yellow.
03:09Really nice coloring transitioning there.
03:11This is, by the way, all a very gummy kind of soft plastic.
03:14So you really have no worries about these individual flame bits breaking off.
03:18No, the plastic that they use is very forgiving.
03:21Put that off to the side.
03:22The figure does also come include some swappable hands.
03:25Already on the ends of her forearms, Cammy, you can see, does have closed fists.
03:29We can do away with those closed fists in favor of posed hands like these.
03:33Basically, all you're just going to do is hold on to the forearm.
03:35Easily yank the hands off their forearms.
03:38Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
03:39You don't have to wiggle.
03:40And we're just going to pop those hands off.
03:42Cammy, actually, this has been several times I've done this.
03:45And each time, the hands always seem to be stubborn.
03:47We're going to remove the hands.
03:49Find, of course, the rule of thumb is that the thumbs always go in.
03:52That's the rule of thumb.
03:54And we're going to wiggle this back in post.
03:56And we'll do the exact same on this side as well.
03:58Again, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
03:59This hand's not as bad as the other.
04:01And then take, of course, the opposite hand to that.
04:04And we're going to wiggle it back in place.
04:06There's a lot of wiggling going on so far in this review.
04:08Hopefully, that's the last of it.
04:10And you get basically like a couple of posing hands.
04:13I mean, they're okay.
04:14I mean, I'd much rather, I think, display the figure, I think, with closed fists instead.
04:18But at least it gives you an opportunity then to give a little bit of fingers.
04:22Whereas the figures also are more closed up like this.
04:25It's entirely up to you really how you want to have the figure displayed.
04:29Lastly, Cammie does come in clear with an alternate head sculpt.
04:33Now, I don't know if I ever have plans to change out the head with the head being as good as it is out of the packaging as already.
04:39She sort of kind of comes across with more of a, I want to say like a pouty face.
04:44If you don't really like the look of Cammie's face the way it is right now, she does also have a screaming face.
04:48One worry that I really did have getting Cammie's alternate head out of the packaging was that immediately looking at this, I thought the eyes were crossed.
04:57Actually, though, it's not crossed.
04:59But it's pretty close, though.
05:00It almost does look like if they were just a little bit closer to the middle, those eyes would be crossed.
05:06I do actually like that they've given her a screaming face.
05:09Entirely up to you whether you want to have the figure displayed with this head sculpt.
05:12I would, again, much rather, I think, still stick with the head that we have.
05:16The one that she does actually have has this little strand of bang.
05:20This is a very thin, soft bit of plastic.
05:23My only one real concern, though, is with what little this is attaching underneath her beret.
05:28Is there a risk, potentially a risk, that that plastic could start to fracture over time?
05:32And that little strand of hair, not so little, in fact, could that maybe break off?
05:37It would probably be also helpful if I wasn't just doing this back and forth with her hair, because I'm only adding insult to injury.
05:43One thing that's also kind of cool, though, about her hair, and that's whether you want to go with this head sculpt or this one here,
05:48which actually you'll notice, too, that the bang is actually blown to the side.
05:52So it's a little bit different there.
05:53But that both of them also do have poseable bangs.
05:57You can actually, or bangs, pigtails on the back of her hair.
06:00These are actually poseable.
06:02Wasn't expecting that at all.
06:03So depending on how you really would like to have Kami's hair displayed, you kind of turn them off to the side and kind of make it look like they're blowing in the wind.
06:11That's really cool.
06:13Chung Lee never really had that, although Chung Lee really doesn't have long hair like this.
06:17Whether you want to go with this head sculpt or you want to go with this one, both of them do actually have poseable pigtails.
06:23Changing out the head, by the way, is just a case of holding onto the torso.
06:26Careful, careful, careful.
06:27Holding onto the torso, wiggling the head from the post, popping that off, replacing it then with the head,
06:32the alternate head sculpt.
06:35And I find, though, there we go.
06:37Getting the head in place, you really do have to apply a fair bit of pressure to get Kami's head to stay on top of that ball joint.
06:43But that's the alternate head sculpt.
06:45Really good in both the cases.
06:47I don't think it's really as good as the first one, but I could certainly understand why somebody would probably decide to go with this look instead.
06:53For the rest of Kami's look, though, of course she does have the red beret in the top,
06:56matching, somewhat matching gloves there in the red as well.
06:59And then she has whatever you would describe this as being.
07:02Is it a unitard?
07:04Is it a onesie?
07:05Whatever it is, there's not a whole lot of fabric here.
07:09One of the reasons why I think a lot of people like to cosplay as Kami is probably more so the fact that the figure just doesn't have really much in the way of an outfit.
07:17The outfit really is very little on the back of the body, as you can see there.
07:21And they have, for the most part, obviously captured that well enough here on the plastic.
07:25Kami does also have the camo there on her legs.
07:27I don't really ever know if this is supposed to be, like, a tattoo that she has on her legs, or she just...
07:32Because, again, like, if she's in the military, they're putting on camo, and this just decides...
07:37I guess this is where she decides to put the camo paint is all over her legs.
07:41It is different from one another, so, like, one leg isn't matching the other.
07:44Little splotches, splotches there of green.
07:47And she has some nicely sculpted boots with a little bit of red on the top for her socks.
07:51Yeah, it's a really nice-looking Kami.
07:53No issues with it whatsoever.
07:55However, also being that this is also a Jada Toys release, you've probably made me...
07:59Heard mention of me mentioning this in the past, where I really think, like, the plastic for these pieces is super good.
08:05The plastic for Kami really is no different.
08:06Even though, like, her frame is a lot thinner than most of the other Street Fighter figures that we've already had a look at.
08:11Like, even...
08:12Just part of my arm here.
08:13Even just to bring in, like, Chung Lee, for example.
08:16You can actually see that she has a thinner frame than even Chung Lee herself.
08:19One thing I also really want to say, too, is that not only is the plastic a good quality that Jada is using for these figures,
08:25but I also really like the subtlety that they add when it comes to the painting.
08:29I mean, obviously, you have the skin-colored plastic here, but in addition to that, very faintly added.
08:34You can see there's these lines just to add some definition to her body, as if she didn't already have enough definition.
08:39The only one thing I will say, though, is while she does have a little more of that than the top of the torso,
08:45she doesn't seem to have nearly enough of that.
08:47Just a little bit of subtlety in the paint would have gone a long way,
08:50that I feel like the legs look a little too pale.
08:54Other than that, though, I mean, all in all, though, just really like the look of Kami.
08:57Always been one of my favorite characters from Street Fighter.
09:00I generally would like to play as Kami.
09:03Usually it would be in Kami.
09:04I know I said in the other reviews it was usually like Ken or it was Guile.
09:07Well, I think if I was to really generally pick a female, it was always really Kami.
09:11And I was just really, again, like the look of Kami.
09:13For the figure's articulation, yeah, let's go through that together.
09:16Head's going to be in a ball joint.
09:17So it does, of course, move all the way around.
09:20Not that on a real human being you'd be able to do this.
09:22This would kill them instantly.
09:23But yeah, at least on a figure, you can rotate the head all the way around.
09:26The head can look up and you can bring it down, down low.
09:29You can also rock your head back and forth as well.
09:32I know we've already kind of established the fact that in both the cases of the heads,
09:35there is actually a peg on both the pigtails.
09:38So you can actually rotate them back and forth.
09:40These are, again, a very soft plastic.
09:42So you really have no worries whatsoever that the plastic is going to break on them.
09:46Kami's upper torso is going to be on a ball joint.
09:49It's kind of really hard to kind of get access to the ball joint.
09:51Stop that.
09:53Because it is, well, it's really tight right around here.
09:56But you can actually move her torso up and down.
09:58You can slightly turn it back and forth.
10:01She does also have a secondary ball joint right where her waist would be.
10:05For her arms, they rotate all the way around.
10:08You can take those arms, yes, and easily pull off a 90 degree angle bend.
10:12This one arm is a little on the tighter side, but still can be pulled off.
10:16You can also as well take those arms.
10:18I probably already said you can rotate them all the way around.
10:20There's a swivel there at the bicep.
10:22The figure does, in fact, also have a double hinge on the elbow.
10:24I mean, to look at a figure this size and realize that Jada Toys,
10:28for the price of what they're selling these figures for,
10:30not only do you use good plastic,
10:32but still manage to pull off double hinges in elbows,
10:35double hinges in knees.
10:37Think of a figure line for this price of what they're selling these figures for.
10:40Can even do those.
10:42Can even do that.
10:43So, yeah, again, she does have the double hinge on the elbow.
10:46There's no articulation here for the glove.
10:48That looks to be just one sculpting for the rest of the forearm.
10:51Hands rotate all the way around.
10:52You can also hinge them back and forth.
10:54Again, if you want to use these hands,
10:56which, again, kind of looks like she's miming.
10:58She's miming.
10:59I'm stuck in a box.
11:00I'm stuck in a box.
11:01The legs, as for the legs themselves,
11:03they do have a split.
11:04As you can see, there's ball joints working behind the scenes.
11:07Cammie, in fact, if you walk your way up her legs about three quarters the way,
11:10there's a swivel cut.
11:11So you can rotate the legs all the way around that way.
11:13She does also have a double hinge on the knee.
11:15She has articulation in the boot.
11:17So that is a separate piece from the rest of the calf.
11:19And then she has a good amount of articulation here for the feet,
11:22where you can move them up and down this way.
11:24You can also give her a nice ankle rocker as well.
11:27You know what?
11:28I would say, I probably would say,
11:29Cammie's my favorite figure that we've gotten so far from the Street Fighter figures.
11:32Like, if I was to kind of look at all the lay of the land
11:34and what we have gotten so far,
11:37probably top three favorite figures would be,
11:38let's just reach off and grab them now.
11:40I would probably say Ken.
11:43And I would probably even go Blanca.
11:46And I would say, I would say Cammie.
11:48Yeah, these three figures are probably my favorite figures
11:50that we've looked at so far.
11:52And again, we're still getting a lot more Jada Toy Street Fighter figures.
11:55We've seen from at least images posted online
11:57that from Comic-Con at least standpoint,
12:00there's going to be a whole bunch of other figures like T-Hawk.
12:02Is it T-Hawk from Street Fighter?
12:04We're going to be getting him as well.
12:05And E-Honda.
12:06Looking forward to definitely getting him.
12:08Chung Lee.
12:08One thing I will say, though, about Chung Lee
12:11is that she did have an alternate outfit, Chung Lee.
12:14I think, in fact, there's actually been two releases of her.
12:16Cammie, I think as far as I know,
12:17we've only got just the one release of her.
12:19She also was one of the harder figures to find,
12:22even though like online listings, she's still available.
12:24And she generally sells online for around $35.
12:27I ended up paying a little bit more
12:29and I bought her through the Facebook selling group
12:30because, at least from a Canadian collector,
12:33she was next to impossible to find.
12:35Though I would not be displaying Cammie
12:37the way that you're currently seeing right now.
12:38The Screaming Face is okay.
12:39I don't know if I like it really as much
12:42as just the regular defaulted head.
12:44She seems to, again, follow the same pattern and formula
12:46that the defaulted heads are the ones
12:48I generally like a little bit more.
12:50Swappable hands, again, are still fine and good.
12:52But I think, again, like,
12:53out of the way she came out of the packaging,
12:54with a close fist and a defaulted head,
12:57is likely going to be the way
12:58I'm going to be displaying Cammie on my shelf.
13:00I gotta feel bad for Cammie.
13:02Not just because the temperature's dropped
13:03real low in this room,
13:04but also just because she's the only
13:06Street Fighter figure so far from Jada
13:07where she has had an effect piece,
13:10but not a display stand to give her the means to use it.
13:12I mean, in the case, at least, of Cammie,
13:14it's an effect piece that isn't technically separate,
13:17but because it has to attach onto the end of her body,
13:20she doesn't have a means to really stand on her own.
13:23Had she included, like, for example,
13:24a clear post stand that could maybe be attached
13:26onto the bottom of the effect piece,
13:28yes, I know it would have looked
13:29a little more like an eyesore,
13:31but at least she'd be able to stand on her own.
13:33In this case, obviously,
13:34with her rotating on the rotisserie,
13:36I had to really cheat
13:37and use a DC Multiverse display stand.
13:39The rotating turntable is black,
13:41the display stand is black,
13:42so at least it leaves the illusion
13:44that Cammie's standing on her own.
13:46This might be something as well
13:47that's going to have to carry its way onto my shelf,
13:49because, again, I would really like
13:50to have displayed Cammie with the effect piece
13:52that just really can't do it
13:54without the use of a display stand.
13:56For the look, though, of the character,
13:57Cammie's, again, really been
13:58one of my all-time favorite designs
14:00for the character of the Street Fighter games.
14:02She does have two distinct head portraits,
14:04which is one thing, really,
14:05that Jada Toys has done well
14:07for the Street Fighter line,
14:08giving look-distinct head sculpts,
14:10so it doesn't really look like
14:12when you're having the two head sculpts
14:13in front of you
14:13that they're so close with one another
14:15that you kind of really ask yourself the question,
14:17why did they waste the budget
14:19to give us two heads
14:20that look identical to one another?
14:22So far, up to this point,
14:24every head sculpt has had
14:25either a grimaced face,
14:27a screaming face,
14:27or in the case of Cammie,
14:29she does have a little more
14:30of a cross-eyed face,
14:31but it is definitely different
14:33from the head sculpt
14:33that we start with
14:34when we first get her
14:35out of our plastic prison.
14:37What do you guys think
14:37of Street Fighter's Cammie?
14:38Let me know down below
14:39in the comments section.
14:39Have you guys had the chance
14:40to pick this one up,
14:41or is this one still
14:42that's on your list?
14:44Out of so far, by the way,
14:45the Jaded Toy Street Fighter figures
14:46that we've looked at,
14:47what would you say
14:48is your top three favorites?
14:50Let me know.
14:50If you guys also, by the way,
14:51did enjoy this video,
14:52you can do it a solid
14:53and throw it a like.
14:54You guys want to stick around
14:54for more so?
14:55I hope so.
14:56This, by the way,
14:57my friends, colleagues, and viewers,
14:58this isn't the end
14:59of our Street Fighter reviews.
15:00Oh no.
15:01There's a couple more
15:01still coming your way,
15:02so I'm hoping that you guys
15:03are going to be coming back
15:04for those.
15:04As always,
15:05thanks for watching.
15:06See you guys next time.
15:13See you guys next time.
