00:00Previously on America's Next Top Model, the harsh reality of the modeling world overwhelmed Kate and sparked a rivalry between Joanna and Camille.
00:10I'm going to say it to you, I will say it to your face.
00:12While Sarah faced her father's disapproval.
00:14He considered modeling prostitution.
00:16And in the last elimination, Siamara was sent home.
00:19Seven girls remain.
00:21Who will be eliminated tonight?
00:30What do you got to stop?
00:34What do you got to stop?
00:38What do you got to stop?
00:41What do you got to stop?
00:45What do you got to stop?
00:52At last, Jojean, when it was you and Siamara out there, she thinks she was going home or you were going home.
01:00I'm not going, I wasn't going home.
01:01I was just chilling, I wasn't nervous.
01:03Camille, congratulations.
01:06Camille is an incredibly strong woman.
01:08She has no vulnerability and shows no emotions.
01:11Happy nor sad, she's always just medium.
01:14To be honest, what one did you like better, long hair or short hair?
01:17I think with your short hair, you can do some funky things with it.
01:21You just have to play with it.
01:23Well, what my problem is, is I'm trying to change who I am for the judges to like me.
01:28I think it really sucks.
01:34Salud!
01:35Salud!
01:36Mine's way bigger.
01:38Mine's way bigger.
01:39No, mine actually goes over my stomach.
01:44That's my belly.
01:46My belly surpasses yours.
01:49Six-pack.
01:50Gone.
01:50It looks like I'm two pounds.
01:52Ew!
01:52Camille puts ketchup on her pickles.
01:54That's okay.
01:55Don't say ew when people do stuff.
01:56We don't go ew when you're eating your hamburgers.
01:59It's only a chardonnay, right?
01:59We don't mean it in a rude way.
02:01We're just saying, you know.
02:02No, you guys don't treat a lot.
02:04Kate, she's getting too sensitive for me.
02:06It's just like, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up!
02:09It was supposed to be a joke.
02:10Guys, there's Tyromale!
02:18The world's full of color, but sometimes it's seen the best in black and white.
02:22We have to prepare for a black and white photo shoot, which I thought was so great.
02:25Classic.
02:26Get ready.
02:27Run, run, run, run.
02:28I woke up this morning, and I don't know what's going on, but my mouth is like super, super swollen, and it hurts.
02:34It's just getting worse.
02:35Like, it's just getting tighter.
02:38Like, it's harder for me to talk, but it's in the corner.
02:40Is it this whole area, or just everything?
02:42Camila is having fat lips, and she has, like, an allergic reaction to something.
02:47She's probably feeling self-conscious.
02:52But it's just like, I don't have big lips, but it's just bigger.
02:57I feel it.
02:58And you're going to see it in the pictures.
03:05Good morning.
03:06Today is a bit of a challenge, because what we're going to do are beauty shots.
03:11The camera is right in here, and it's all about emoting with your eyes.
03:16Today's photographer is Bill Heiberger, and he is a noted fashion photographer, and he's even shot Tyra Banks.
03:22It's what's inside that's going to make you pretty.
03:24And if we can capture that, then we're doing well.
03:26Now, I know, Camille, you had an issue because you feel like you're having an allergic reaction today.
03:30I don't know what the order is.
03:31If I could just, like, hang out for a minute, maybe the swelling and stuff will go down, you know?
03:36We can have you go last today.
03:38So let's get going.
03:41Technically, a beauty shoot is the most difficult shoot to do.
03:44If you're not confident, you'll definitely read in the final photograph.
03:47So I think the girls today is kind of the biggest challenge for them.
03:56The photographer kept going like this, like when he took the picture.
04:01It kind of threw me off because I started smiling, and it's supposed to be, like, serious and sensual.
04:06See, I want to convey something, like, a tone.
04:12Especially because I need all the opportunities to convey some kind of personality that I can.
04:16You know what I mean?
04:17Like, if they see it in a photograph.
04:19It hurt my feelings so much yesterday.
04:21Oh, it did?
04:22Somehow the judges, like, don't like me, you know?
04:25Lingering that morning was the comment that you had the best picture, but the judges don't like you.
04:29When you talk and how you're moving your hands, so, like this,
04:32it's not a likable, warm person that I really want to get to know better.
04:36And I know that's inside of you, and I want them to see that beautiful part of you.
04:39This thing just didn't particularly go well, but, I mean, they didn't totally mean you either.
04:43I know.
04:44I'm so sensitive.
04:45I know.
04:46Like, you are.
04:47It's what they remember.
04:48You know what I mean?
04:49And they know.
04:50So you have a personality.
04:51It's not like you're a dog.
04:53April, I love her, but she's going to die of a heart attack before she gets 27
04:57because she just puts so much stress on, like, the little things
05:00and doesn't listen to the positive things.
05:03Break your eyes.
05:05My biggest fear is that I will leave this competition and be told,
05:09you know what, April, you gave us flawless photographs,
05:12but you didn't step it up a notch and bring you out.
05:15Because to me, that's almost like implying that I was afraid to do that,
05:18and I'm not afraid.
05:20I'm going to look best when I feel comfortable with who I'm being.
05:24So I'm going to go exactly back to my plain Jane look and be me.
05:27They can criticize me every week if they want to, but at least I'll be comfortable.
05:32My mouth is, like, super, super swollen, and it hurts.
05:36Actually, it's not that bad.
05:37We can take it down.
05:38Sometimes, you know, as models, you have to show up in whatever the conditions.
05:41You just got to go.
05:42You know, that kind of thing.
05:44Jane told me that when I'm in front of the camera,
05:46I have to pretend like I don't have this problem right now.
05:48Give it to me in your eyes.
05:49Give it to me in your energy.
05:51Okay?
05:52All right, good.
05:53Let's go.
05:53Just write a camera, nice and relaxed.
05:58Just always give me, you know, kind of pretty eye, soft expression.
06:02You know what I mean?
06:03Otherwise, it looks a little hard.
06:05You have to know how to turn it on and off, no matter how tired you are,
06:08no matter how much pain you're in.
06:10You just have to do it.
06:11I think Camille gave it a good shot.
06:13Did Camille give 100%?
06:15I don't think so.
06:17Bingo.
06:17Thank you very much.
06:18I want to see that thing.
06:19I'll give you away.
06:21I wonder what we have to do first of the day,
06:23because I'm going to be stuck after.
06:24Hey, girls.
06:26This is Kyle Hagler, a manager over at IMG.
06:29You know, Tyra's with IMG.
06:31This is huge, because he's going to be managing the winner.
06:34In this field that is ever so changing,
06:37you're seeing a lot more actresses on the covers of magazines
06:39as opposed to models.
06:40The model actress, she's like a double threat,
06:43because she's able to project a feeling.
06:46So today, you guys are going off to an acting class.
06:49I'm nervous about the acting class.
06:53A lot of us have never gone on stage before.
06:55It's important that you guys all understand
06:57that the two worlds work side by side.
07:01I love acting classes.
07:03I love it now.
07:05It's not that bad, actually.
07:07I just can't remember how big your lips were to begin with.
07:11Camille was like drama, drama, drama, drama.
07:14Her lips were tossed up, so she needed some medicine, I guess,
07:18to bring down the swelling.
07:19I don't want to miss out on activity for the day,
07:23but my health comes first.
07:30Hello, everybody.
07:32Camille, is she coming?
07:33Well, no, this one, and, like, it's moving back.
07:36Oh, she's at the doctor?
07:37Yeah.
07:37Oh, okay.
07:38I have a very special person here.
07:41She's one of my very best friends.
07:42Her name is Tasha Smith-Arkis.
07:44She is an amazing actress.
07:47The top models in the world know how to act.
07:50You need something going on on the inside
07:53in order to look in that camera
07:54and make people want you to sell their product.
07:57I've done exercises with Tasha
07:58where I'm crying and screaming
08:00and don't know how she got that out of me.
08:02That only makes me a better model,
08:04and it makes me a better actress.
08:05So, Tyra, bye, y'all.
08:08Bye, Miss Tasha.
08:09Thank you, sister.
08:10Bye, you guys.
08:12And now you're all in my hands.
08:15When Tyra leaves the whole other ballgame,
08:17she's like, okay, we're going to get dirty.
08:19What makes us really good actors
08:21is that we're able to locate
08:23each individual emotional thing
08:25and utilize it as a tool.
08:28So today what I want to really try to work on
08:30is being open and being honest.
08:33I'm just going to give you guys this piece of paper, okay?
08:38And let's just talk about rejection
08:39because that's what some of you
08:40are going to have to deal with, rejection.
08:42You know how it feels.
08:43How many of you have ever had a boyfriend
08:44that broke up with you?
08:47A daddy that left you.
08:49Imagine.
08:49That is a dear John letter
08:52from whoever that person is
08:55that you felt rejected you and left you.
08:58Look at it.
08:59You see the emotions that's coming up?
09:02It's like weird because you're looking
09:04at a blank piece of paper,
09:05but it has so much on it.
09:10Emotions to me are uncontrollable.
09:12When I open myself up to them,
09:14there are tears immediately,
09:15and it's like...
09:16Look at it.
09:21Now I want you to rip that piece of paper up
09:23in little teeny pieces.
09:25Rip it up.
09:26Rip it up.
09:27Rip it up.
09:27Stop.
09:28Now all of you right now are hurting.
09:31All of you right now may be feeling anger,
09:34hurt, pain.
09:35Don't forget what you're feeling right now
09:38because you're going to have opportunities
09:39to use this
09:41if you're working to try to accomplish
09:43a career as an actor.
09:44Hello.
09:45Hi, how are you?
09:46So we have a new person coming in.
09:48What's your name?
09:48Camille.
09:49Hi, Camille.
09:50I'm slowly looking at everyone's faces,
09:52realizing that people are kind of sad
09:55and crying and quiet.
09:56So I'm just like,
09:57oh my God.
10:01What is it that you're feeling right now?
10:02Like, what's the thing that made you
10:03break down and cry?
10:04I'm hearing it like that.
10:06My father just has this mindset
10:08that modeling is not the job for a daughter.
10:11I need you to look at her
10:13and say to your father
10:14everything that you've wanted to say
10:16about how he's hurt you.
10:17I want you to repeat
10:18everything that she says quietly, okay?
10:21Begin to talk.
10:23I'm doing this because if you would just owe me,
10:25I'm going to be a model.
10:26You can hate me.
10:28Whatever you want, you can just owe me.
10:29I don't care.
10:30It's kind of like an out-of-body experience
10:32and I'm feeling just this energy around us.
10:35You know, without anyone in my family,
10:36because of you, I hate you.
10:38And there are times
10:39that you're not willing to
10:40not want to make up your face.
10:43I didn't think we were going to get this heavy
10:45the first day,
10:46but this whole lesson was to
10:48teach you to be honest and vulnerable.
10:50I'm so tired.
10:51I'm so tired of being brave.
10:54Be brave.
10:54We're letting just all these emotions
11:04and our personal lives out.
11:09And Camille's the only one
11:10that's not affected by any of this.
11:12Mom, you're my strength.
11:13Mom, you're my strength.
11:14I love you.
11:15I love you.
11:16Scott, I want you to deal with the things
11:17that are not so easy.
11:19Let's change it.
11:19Okay, because I don't angry at anybody.
11:23No?
11:24I don't.
11:27You?
11:28That's interesting.
11:29Look in her eyes.
11:30And obviously,
11:31you did something to her, too.
11:32So we may as well get it all out right now.
11:34Okay, let's go.
11:35Okay, so you have to repeat her.
11:37In the house,
11:37I felt like you were punishing my character.
11:40It hurt because...
11:41Be honest, Camille.
11:43This is your opportunity
11:44to just be honest.
11:45It hurt because...
11:46Because...
11:46I'm in a new environment
11:47with new people,
11:48and I really like for everyone
11:50to get along.
11:51Come on!
11:52You're sucking right now!
11:53I was almost wishing
11:54that she would have it out with me
11:55and just say whatever
11:56she felt repressed,
11:57and that way we can just kind of
11:58patch it and get on
11:59and be adults.
12:00I just feel like
12:00you're still on the surface.
12:02There's stuff inside your heart
12:03that's going on
12:04that you just refuse to let out.
12:06I'm trying here.
12:07I'm trying.
12:07I just...
12:07I just...
12:08I do.
12:08I feel like you just want to have
12:09this perfect mask on.
12:11It has to be like me
12:12inside of me.
12:13But God bless you
12:15in your career.
12:15But you're just boring.
12:16I'm staying up there
12:17with Joanna,
12:18so I'm coming into
12:18this new situation now.
12:20Missed the first half
12:21of the acting exercise.
12:22My mouth is the size
12:23of a freaking watermelon.
12:25I was just like...
12:26Okay.
12:28Tomorrow,
12:28you're going to have a test.
12:30You are going to have
12:32to figure out this scene.
12:34Make it real
12:35and make it effective
12:36the way you affected
12:37each other.
12:38The only one you probably
12:39wasn't affected by
12:40was Camille.
12:40I know it's a competition
12:42and we have to do this
12:43in order to win
12:44and so we have to get
12:45into this acting world,
12:46which is going to be
12:47very difficult.
12:47That just might be
12:48my downfall.
12:52The acting day wraps up
12:54with everybody just
12:55really emotionally drained.
12:57I didn't seem emotional.
12:59Not really.
13:00Mm-mm.
13:00Really?
13:01Like, I've never seen
13:01my grandmother cry.
13:02I've never seen my mother cry.
13:03I've never seen my father cry.
13:05Mm-mm.
13:05I think you have a wall
13:06within yourself
13:06that you're not letting yourself feel.
13:08There's a reason you're not
13:08tapping into your own emotions
13:09because you don't want to go there.
13:10So how are you going to go there
13:11with somebody else?
13:12It's just,
13:13it's not happening for you.
13:14You want to memorize?
13:15I just keep saying, like,
13:16a certain part over and over
13:17and over and over and over.
13:18Tasha, our acting coach,
13:20gives us a script
13:21that we have to learn
13:22and memorize.
13:23It says,
13:23in a script, ladies,
13:25they embrace and engage
13:25in a passionate kiss.
13:27So that's not.
13:27I hope I go first
13:28so I don't have to taste
13:29any of you other hosts.
13:30Ew.
13:31Gosh.
13:33This makes no sense.
13:34The script was kind of cheesy,
13:36but I guess a lot of
13:37the acting scenes are.
13:38Why would you say that?
13:39No person would say that.
13:41You'd say,
13:42I remember your funeral
13:43like it was yesterday.
13:44You don't say,
13:44I remember the military funeral
13:46like it was yesterday.
13:47The script seems very
13:49soap opera.
13:50Like,
13:51oh, Colin.
13:53I want to play Colin
13:55for some people.
13:57Do you love him?
13:58It seems like 10 weeks
13:58in County.
13:59I don't know.
13:59I haven't even read that yet.
14:00Is it difficult for you?
14:01April,
14:02she's the only one in the house
14:03that got that script
14:04and was, like,
14:05studying forever.
14:05When she sees something,
14:06she does it perfectly.
14:08She's like a machine.
14:09I really understand now
14:11how we are supposed
14:12to use today
14:13to work through this script.
14:15I need to just come in
14:16through the door swinging
14:17with personality
14:18and emotion.
14:19Here,
14:20I'll practice with you.
14:21I'm not practicing,
14:22like,
14:22lines.
14:23I'm trying to practice
14:23the emotions.
14:24That's not something.
14:25I just need to, like,
14:25take myself there,
14:26you know?
14:27I pretty much memorized
14:28already.
14:28Really?
14:29Yeah.
14:29Even that whole spiel
14:30about what I remember
14:31in the military funeral?
14:32Mm-hmm.
14:32Oh, good gravy.
14:33I have it.
14:36Hi, gorgeous ladies.
14:38So today is test date.
14:40I get to pick and choose
14:42who's going to win
14:43a fabulous shopping spree today
14:45at one of New York's
14:47finest jewelers.
14:48You're going to read
14:49this material
14:50with one of the stars
14:51of As the World Turns,
14:52Mr. Mark Collier.
14:55Hi, Mark.
15:00When Mark had walked out,
15:02you could see, like,
15:02this little giddy grin
15:03on Shandy's face
15:04and she was excited
15:05to, like,
15:06proceed with the scene.
15:07Anything you want
15:08to say to the girls?
15:09Just react
15:10and be as honest
15:11in the scene as you can.
15:12The scene is about
15:13a woman named Laura
15:14whose husband
15:14was in the military.
15:16She thinks he's dead,
15:16so she moves on
15:17and he comes back.
15:19Action.
15:20I didn't believe it
15:20when they told me,
15:22but it's true.
15:24I didn't believe it
15:25when they told me,
15:26but it's true.
15:26But it's true,
15:27you're alive.
15:28You know,
15:28when they told me
15:29that your plane
15:29went down in the jungle
15:30and that there were
15:31no survivors?
15:31When they gave me
15:32that flag
15:33that draped over
15:34your coffin,
15:35I put it under my pillow
15:36and I cried myself
15:38to sleep
15:39every night
15:40for six months.
15:43April's doing
15:43a great job.
15:44I believed in her eyes.
15:46She was being truthful
15:46to the situation.
15:48And I cried myself
15:50to sleep
15:50every night
15:51for six months.
15:53Shandy is
15:54showing an openness.
15:56I saw it in her eyes.
15:57There was this connection
15:58that she had
15:58that a lot of other people
15:59didn't have.
16:00When they told me
16:01your plane went down
16:01in the jungle
16:02and there were no survivors,
16:05I didn't shed a tear.
16:06Katie,
16:07she's showing you
16:08everything but not
16:09feeling anything,
16:10which makes it
16:11not very believable.
16:13And then I met a man.
16:15I'm half-assing it.
16:17How crap can I
16:17take this seriously?
16:18I'm not feeling this guy.
16:20And he made me realize
16:21I could live again.
16:22And I cried myself
16:23to sleep
16:23for six months.
16:25Cried myself to sleep
16:26for six months.
16:27I cried, Colin.
16:29Not for one,
16:30not for two,
16:31but I cried
16:32for six months.
16:34Camille has taken
16:35upon herself
16:35to change
16:37a lot of the lines,
16:38which just really
16:39shouldn't happen.
16:40You know me,
16:41Laura.
16:42The strong,
16:43the proud,
16:44the one that you love
16:45and respected.
16:46I'm approaching
16:47the scene with
16:48the fact that
16:49I'm going to be me,
16:50which is unique.
16:52I didn't believe it.
16:53It's true.
16:54You are alive.
16:54I focused my energy
16:56into sculpting.
16:58I even gave
16:59some away to charity.
17:01At the end,
17:02there's supposed
17:02to be a passionate kiss.
17:03I love you.
17:05I always have
17:06and I always will.
17:14This is the end
17:15of the scene.
17:16Passionately kissed.
17:17To me,
17:18passionate is tongue,
17:18so there you go.
17:21What do you expect?
17:22We've been stuck
17:22with 12 girls.
17:23It was time
17:24for some testosterone.
17:25We have to kiss
17:26this person.
17:35You could have kissed
17:36him better than that.
17:37I can't.
17:38So what?
17:39This is about winning.
17:40You have to stay
17:41committed in the scene.
17:42If you're thinking
17:43about your boyfriend,
17:43only half of your heart
17:45is going to be
17:45in the scene.
17:46Okay.
17:47I miss my wife.
17:49But why did you
17:50have to leave me?
17:50Why did you have to
17:53leave me, baby?
18:03Before I say anything,
18:05Mark, I'll give you
18:06the honors to
18:07say something first.
18:09You do something
18:09for David Mamet
18:10or somebody like that,
18:11you change their words,
18:13you won't have that job
18:14anymore.
18:14I promise you that.
18:15I don't know if you
18:16feel like you've
18:17learned something
18:18between today and
18:19yesterday.
18:20I didn't believe
18:21anything you did
18:22up there.
18:22Nothing.
18:23I thought it was
18:24horrible.
18:24I thought I did
18:25well.
18:25I respect her,
18:27but she has to
18:28understand that
18:29different people
18:29are different.
18:31Poor Camille.
18:32She's clueless.
18:42For all their faults.
18:43All the things
18:44that I can do
18:44and this tiny white
18:45pill, it's got me.
18:46I'm not drinking.
18:47I'm in a perpetual
18:47toast.
18:48Their first duty.
18:49Are you breathing?
18:50I gave him out
18:50the mouth.
18:51I thought he felt
18:52the pulse, you know?
18:52Will always be to
18:54those they do not
18:54know.
18:55You want the kid
18:55to live?
18:56If I do this,
18:57I get the kid
18:57to live.
18:58Will that make
18:58you believe in me?
18:59Hot new Fox 8
19:00drama that's edgy
19:01and confronting.
19:02Gotta spend time
19:02with them, Tommy.
19:03Enjoy them while
19:04you can.
19:04Dennis Leary,
19:05Rescue Me.
19:06Tonight, 930.
19:07Exclusive to Fox 8.
19:12Can we have all
19:13of our ladies come
19:14out onto the stage,
19:16please?
19:17Did you see how
19:17important yesterday
19:18was to really
19:19accomplish the goal
19:21of today?
19:22It was really
19:23interesting.
19:23Did you learn
19:24something?
19:24Camille, you
19:26were not affected
19:27and you refused
19:28to be affected.
19:29I say get
19:30affected.
19:31Get affected.
19:32Katie, you know
19:33how hard you worked
19:34and how hard you
19:35didn't.
19:35Sometimes you may
19:36give up before
19:37it's over.
19:39And if you do
19:40that, you
19:40automatically lose.
19:42April and
19:43Shandy, to me,
19:44were the best.
19:44You guys were the best.
19:46You guys were the best.
19:46The top of the line.
19:48But unfortunately,
19:49there can only be
19:49one winner.
19:51And the winner is...
19:54April.
19:55You allowed all your
19:56inner emotions to come
19:57out.
19:58You didn't try to hold
19:59back.
19:59The positive feedback
20:00felt really good to me
20:01because one of the
20:03problems I think I've
20:04been having is letting
20:04the real me come
20:05through.
20:05The prize is a
20:09fabulous shopping spree
20:11at one of the top
20:12jewelry stores in New
20:14York City.
20:15You get to pick
20:15somebody to go with.
20:17Katie.
20:18Katie is 18 years
20:19old.
20:20She's still a teenager.
20:23And honestly, when I'm
20:24with her, I feel like
20:25I'm 18, too.
20:26So I wanted to bring
20:27her with me.
20:28I'm so excited.
20:29We're going to get her
20:29some good jewelry.
20:31Get her some bling.
20:32Today was a bad day
20:36according to, you
20:37know, the people I'm
20:39getting critiqued by
20:40because they say that
20:41I'm kind of like
20:42unattached, like I'm
20:44not like emotional.
20:46Should I say hi,
20:46honey?
20:47How come you've never
20:47cried in front of
20:48Camille?
20:49She's very emotionally
20:49detached.
20:51I just want to see
20:52that this girl's human.
20:53Okay.
20:54Because us girls are
20:55emotional.
20:57Show me some emotion.
20:59When you get all this
21:03criticism from the
21:03judges and stuff, how
21:05do you handle that?
21:06I think of it as being
21:08positive.
21:09Like, I don't think of
21:09it.
21:10It's not always
21:10positive information.
21:11The only way for her
21:12to handle criticism is
21:13to be hard, tough, and
21:15dominate the situation.
21:16Supposedly I'm the
21:17worst out of, like,
21:17everyone else.
21:18It's okay, because if I
21:19want to do the acting
21:19thing, I will do the
21:21acting thing.
21:21So please vote for
21:22Camille.
21:22She's running for office.
21:24She wants that
21:24control 24-7, and she
21:26just feels like if she
21:27loses that control, she
21:29won't be able to win.
21:30I'm good, so...
21:31Come on, darling!
21:36They picked the
21:37surprise for this day.
21:38I'm so excited.
21:42I feel like a little
21:48girl in a candy store
21:49who just gets to pick
21:50what she wants.
21:51I like those earrings,
21:52that necklace.
21:53What a fabulous night
21:54from start to finish.
21:55To be able to perform
21:56on stage for the first
21:57time, and then to have
21:57it topped off with
21:58this.
21:59Pinch me, pinch me.
22:00It's incredible.
22:01These are perfect for me.
22:02Yeah.
22:02Yeah, okay.
22:03Yay!
22:04Thank you so much.
22:05Okay, take care.
22:06Bye.
22:06Have a good night.
22:07Take care.
22:10Hi, Rimeo!
22:12Tomorrow we'll see
22:12who'll fight the best
22:13fight to be America's
22:14next top model.
22:15Be ready to leave at
22:15six in the morning.
22:17She's gonna fight us.
22:18We're gonna fight
22:18Tara, right?
22:19Are we gonna box?
22:20I don't want to
22:20kick Tara's butt.
22:21We'll see tomorrow.
22:22We'll fight that.
22:23Yeah, this is a healthy
22:37oatmeal.
22:40Is that bad?
22:41Disgusting.
22:43Mmm, it's good.
22:44The tire meal is
22:49pretty vague, so we
22:51just are ready for
22:52anything.
22:53Yeah.
22:54Good morning.
22:57Good morning.
22:57Today, you're doing
22:58a television commercial
22:59for Rolito's Chips.
23:02Oh, my God.
23:03You girls have the
23:04privilege to work
23:04with a talented director
23:06and owner of
23:07most remarkable films,
23:08James Gay.
23:09James, come out,
23:09say hey.
23:10We have a script
23:10to get through,
23:11which is a little
23:11different for you guys.
23:12We have a lot to do,
23:13so there's no time
23:14to be nervous.
23:15Actually, today,
23:16we're at the
23:16Daryl Roth Theater,
23:17home of the show
23:18De La Guarda.
23:19So we're gonna do
23:19something a little
23:20different.
23:24Oh, my God.
23:25Oh, my God.
23:27We're doing that?
23:31Essentially, the idea
23:32is you girls are
23:34in a rough-and-tumble
23:34aerial cat fight
23:35fighting to become
23:37America's next top
23:38model, but you're
23:39fighting like there's
23:40only one bag of
23:41chips left.
23:43I'm really, I'm just
23:43focusing on how
23:45angry I am that I'm
23:46put in this situation
23:47again.
23:48Before we did the
23:48suspending shoot,
23:49I had a nervous
23:50breakdown.
23:51My ultimate fear
23:51in life is falling
23:52to my death.
23:54I'm shaking.
23:56Take me on fire,
23:56that's cool.
23:57Just don't put me
23:57off the air.
23:58Kate, you have to
23:59shut up about this
24:00stuff because I'm
24:01afraid of heights.
24:02Oh, my God, I have
24:02three knee operations
24:03and I'm scared to
24:04fall on my knee.
24:05But, hey, I'm not
24:06thinking about it
24:07and starting breaking
24:07out and crying.
24:09Shooting film takes
24:11so much more time
24:12than shooting just
24:13a photograph.
24:14Yeah.
24:14And I was thinking, oh, my
24:16God, if Katie starts
24:18dying, I just need you
24:19to do this.
24:20So, so frustrating.
24:22It's just so much
24:22pressure.
24:25The future is now.
24:27We're doing a commercial
24:35today.
24:35This is a two-fold
24:36concept.
24:37These girls have to
24:38have the ability to do
24:39lines and do stunts.
24:41We have a lot to do.
24:43Oh!
24:43That's what I want.
24:47This is an important
24:47day for me because
24:48yesterday a comment was
24:50made towards me that I
24:51wouldn't win, you know,
24:52to be America's next
24:52top model because I
24:53can't act and I'm not
24:54showing my emotions.
24:55Well, here, I don't
24:56have to cry.
24:57So, I think that I'll
24:59be very well in this.
25:00Go, girl.
25:01You're going to be
25:01like flying shepies,
25:02girl.
25:03Mm-hmm.
25:03Mm-hmm.
25:06And action.
25:11It really looks like
25:12a movie.
25:13Just a surreal
25:13kind of world that
25:14we're in.
25:15It's just awesome.
25:20April.
25:20That's perfect.
25:21April's great.
25:22She's great.
25:23April is really
25:24game.
25:24She's way on top of
25:26it.
25:26She stays focused and
25:27sharp the entire
25:28time.
25:29Camille, look at the
25:30intent on April's
25:31face.
25:31Camille was a lot of
25:32fun to work with.
25:33She's athletic.
25:34She took direction
25:35very well.
25:36Brent, your teeth,
25:37Camille.
25:38Camille was very
25:38good.
25:39Okay, Katie.
25:40Are we ready?
25:40I pretty much
25:44assume I'm going to
25:44fall to my death,
25:45which is a very
25:47scary thought.
25:48We're okay.
25:49We're okay.
25:50Katie gets nervous
25:51and everything.
25:52I really don't even
25:53have a great shot on
25:54Katie.
25:54I've got a so-so shot.
25:55She can come down.
25:58Katie is still so young
26:00and she's really
26:01emotional about things.
26:02Y'all are trying to
26:02give me a nervous
26:03breakdown.
26:04Her behavior towards
26:05everything right now,
26:06people are going to
26:06get fed up with it.
26:07She's going to catch
26:07up with you in the
26:08end.
26:10Getting ready to do
26:11dialogue.
26:11This is like combining
26:12modeling with acting
26:13and the kind of
26:15character that I'd love
26:15to play.
26:16Three, two, one.
26:20In the end, there'll
26:21only be one choice for
26:22America's next top
26:23model.
26:26It's very good.
26:29You're rolling?
26:29Yep.
26:30And three, two, one.
26:32In the end, they'll
26:33only be one choice for
26:35America's next top
26:36model.
26:37Okay.
26:38Let's break it up.
26:39For America's next
26:40top model.
26:41Camille needs to work
26:43on her diction.
26:44Accent was a little
26:45bit of an issue.
26:46You got to fight like
26:47there's only one bag
26:48of bolitos left.
26:50I thought she was
26:51amazing.
26:52Where the hell did
26:52the Cuban come from?
26:53I mean, I'm more
26:54Cuban than her, honey.
26:55I'm not even Latin.
26:57I think I did pretty
26:58well considering
26:59someone told me
27:00that I couldn't
27:00ask, you know,
27:01hey, I think I did
27:03very well today.
27:04In the end, there
27:05will only be one
27:06choice for America's
27:07next top model.
27:09Katie was a little
27:10bit flat in her
27:11delivery.
27:11So you got to be
27:12tough.
27:13She was a little
27:13bit monotone.
27:15In the end, there
27:16will only be one
27:17choice.
27:18Oh, baby.
27:19For America's next
27:20top model.
27:21So you got to be
27:22tough.
27:23Hey, a girl's got to
27:24do what a girl's got
27:25to do.
27:25Tough superhero,
27:26not tough Bronx.
27:28Yeah.
27:29I'm from Jersey.
27:30Gotta watch your
27:31guy.
27:34Good.
27:35Great, Joanna.
27:40Tomorrow you'll be
27:41the judges.
27:42Only six of you
27:43will continue.
27:43One of us is
27:44going home.
27:45Wait, more room
27:45in the refrigerator.
27:46I have no idea
27:47who's going home.
27:48Is it Joanna?
27:49Is it Camille because
27:50of her attitude?
27:51It could be Katie
27:51because she seems
27:52like very immature.
27:54I hate my hair.
27:56I know it's not
27:56April.
27:57April's got it in the
27:58bag.
27:58Right now, honestly,
27:59I am confident in
28:00the recent stuff.
28:01I also know the judges,
28:02they consider everything.
28:04The competition is
28:05tight.
28:06None of us can
28:06really be really
28:07confident about being
28:08here anymore.
28:19Hello, everybody.
28:20So now it's time to
28:22make our sixth cut
28:23for determining who
28:24will become America's
28:25next top model.
28:27The winner will receive
28:28a contract with IMG
28:29Models, a photo spread
28:30in Jane Magazine, and
28:31a cosmetics campaign
28:32with Sephora.
28:34All right, here's our
28:35crazy, opinionated
28:36judges.
28:36Miss Janice Dickinson,
28:38one of the first
28:38supermodels of the
28:39world.
28:39And next we have
28:40Eric Nicholson, senior
28:41fashion editor at
28:42Jane Magazine.
28:43We have Nigel Barker,
28:44who is a noted
28:45fashion photographer.
28:46And this week's guest
28:47judge is Mr. Kyle
28:49Hagler, who happens
28:49to be one of my
28:50managers at IMG
28:52Models.
28:52Now this week, you'll
28:53be evaluated on what
28:54you learned about
28:55acting, as well as
28:56your black and white
28:57photo.
28:57And then the judges
28:58will deliberate, and
28:59will determine which
29:00one of you should be
29:00eliminated.
29:02So now let's see the
29:03final edit of the
29:04commercial that you
29:05guys shot.
29:09In the end, in the
29:11end, there'll only be
29:12one choice.
29:13The only choice.
29:14Oh, baby.
29:15Be just one.
29:15For America's next
29:16top line.
29:19So you've got to be
29:20top.
29:22You've got to watch
29:23your back.
29:24And you've got to
29:25fight.
29:26Like there's just one
29:27bag of Rolitos left.
29:31The only one choice.
29:33Just one.
29:34But don't worry.
29:35There's plenty of Rolitos
29:36left to go around.
29:37All right, now it's
29:44time for your
29:44individual evaluations,
29:46and then the judges
29:46will deliberate, and
29:48we'll determine which
29:48one of you should be
29:49eliminated.
29:50We randomly draw names,
29:52and April, you're
29:54first.
29:55So this week, the
29:57actress, Ms. Tasha
29:58Smith-Arkees, is
29:59going to be administering
30:00your test.
30:01Today, you're going to
30:02be tested on how well
30:03you can take direction,
30:04April.
30:04I'll be giving you a
30:05line.
30:06The line is, I've
30:08never wanted anything
30:09more than this, and if
30:11I don't get it, I'm
30:12going to die.
30:13I need you to make
30:14all of them, once you
30:16sexually, that's your
30:18objective.
30:18Think of your man.
30:19Put your man's face.
30:21That's funny.
30:21On our faces.
30:23I have never wanted
30:25anything more than
30:26this, and if I don't
30:28get it, I'm going to
30:29die.
30:30Ow!
30:31And if I don't get
30:32it, I'm going to die.
30:34I didn't get it.
30:35I've never wanted
30:36anything more than
30:37this, and if I don't
30:39get it, I'm going to
30:40die.
30:43It's like you're
30:44walking a runway.
30:45That's what I was
30:45going to say.
30:46It was like a drag
30:47queen runway in
30:48Hollywood.
30:48I need you to make
30:49the panel laugh.
30:51You have to say that
30:51line with that intended
30:52objective.
30:53I've never wanted
30:54anything more than
30:55this life, and if I
30:56don't get it, I'm
30:58going to die.
30:59You almost made me
31:00cry instead of laugh.
31:01I have never wanted
31:03anything more than
31:04this, and if I don't
31:05get it, I'm going to
31:06die.
31:07Oh, my God!
31:09I've never wanted,
31:11like, anything than
31:12this, and if I don't
31:13get it, I'm going to
31:14die.
31:15It wasn't funny at
31:16all.
31:17Well, I've never wanted
31:18anything more than
31:19this, so if I don't
31:20get it, I'm going to
31:20die.
31:21Convince me that
31:22you're funny.
31:22Just once.
31:23Just, can you, can
31:24I see it?
31:24Ah!
31:25Ah!
31:25All right,
31:30Joanna, you had a
31:31black-and-white photo
31:32shoot produced by
31:33Dayluck Studios.
31:34Here's your best
31:34shot.
31:35Very pretty.
31:35Ah!
31:36Beautiful.
31:36That is absolutely
31:37gorgeous.
31:38You still need to
31:38work on your posture
31:39a little bit, though.
31:40I notice that you
31:40got one shoulder is
31:41higher than the
31:41other.
31:43All righty, Sandy,
31:43you had a black-and-white
31:44photo shoot, and here
31:45is your best shot.
31:48It's very, sort of,
31:49bland for me.
31:50It's, like, kind of
31:51blank.
31:52Watch Tyra do the
31:53blank and then put it
31:54in the eyes.
31:55Watch her.
31:55She can do it.
31:56All right, here's the
31:56blank.
31:57Watch this.
31:57And watch this.
31:58Give it to me, girl.
31:59Give it to me.
32:03Hi, April.
32:04You're smiling today.
32:05Yeah.
32:05It's great to see you
32:06smile.
32:06What happened this
32:07week that made you
32:08so, you know,
32:09unleashed your smile?
32:10Acting and doing
32:11a commercial.
32:12The director of the
32:13commercial said that
32:14you did a good line
32:15reading, that you're
32:16very athletic, beautiful,
32:17and composed.
32:18You had a photo shoot,
32:20and here's your best
32:20shot.
32:22There's a slight
32:22androgyny, which
32:23is nice.
32:24Yeah, take away the
32:25ponytail, and she can be
32:26kind of a guy.
32:27It's kind of cool.
32:27Oh, my God.
32:28And that's a great
32:28thing in modeling, to be
32:29able to go that other
32:30way, because it makes
32:31you so much more
32:31versatile.
32:33All right, Mercedes,
32:33here's your best
32:34shot.
32:34Oh, so pretty.
32:36I just, I'm crazy about
32:38the fullness of your
32:39mouth, dignified length
32:41of your neck.
32:42I feel like you're
32:42looking at me and
32:43only me, which is
32:44great.
32:44Right.
32:45You know what you
32:45look like to me?
32:46You look like Leila
32:46Ali.
32:47You know, like her
32:47boxing pictures, where
32:48she's like, yeah, the
32:49fight's June 27th,
32:50watch out, bitch.
32:51All right, Camille, the
32:54director of the
32:54commercial, said that
32:55you need to work with
32:56your diction, like you
32:57were putting on some
32:58type of English accent,
32:59and you weren't
33:00instructed to do that.
33:01So you had a black and
33:02white photo shoot, and
33:03here was your best shot.
33:04It seems to be like an
33:06actor's head shot.
33:06I wish you had more
33:07neck.
33:08The reason why it's so
33:08important as a model to
33:09really show the length of
33:10your neck is because
33:11that's what separates you
33:12from, say, an actress
33:13in a picture.
33:14Models tend to be
33:15longer and more elegant.
33:17But I was actually
33:17laying down on the
33:19ground.
33:19You have to learn how
33:20to lay down on the
33:21ground and get some
33:21neck.
33:24Sarah, the look in
33:25your eye, it's just
33:26very kind of nice.
33:28You need to have a
33:28little bit more
33:29strength.
33:29You're so much more
33:30beautiful in person than
33:31you are in that
33:31photograph, and you
33:32have to remember that
33:33that photograph is
33:34what's going to sell
33:34you.
33:35The half smile is
33:36making your face a
33:37little crooked.
33:38Like, I have a
33:38wisdom tooth.
33:39I have, like, a bad
33:40wisdom tooth here.
33:42Hi.
33:43Hey, Katie.
33:44Okay, just mess it
33:45up.
33:45Yeah, there's
33:45something that you
33:46did with the hair.
33:47You might love to
33:47see it off your
33:48face.
33:48There you go.
33:50That's so much
33:50better.
33:51I think you just
33:52need to be stronger
33:53or more innocent.
33:55The reaction that he
33:56got from you is
33:56sort of, like,
33:57scared guppy.
33:58It looks like
33:58Peter Pan.
33:59It's amazing how
34:00young.
34:00You really see it
34:00when you're 18
34:01years old.
34:0113, really, really
34:03young, like child
34:05prostitute.
34:08April.
34:09Damn, that bitch
34:10is pretty.
34:10Yeah, I think on
34:11that TV commercial
34:12that she shot, she
34:13was astounding.
34:14Sarah.
34:14She blew me away in
34:16the acting bit.
34:17Her photograph this
34:18week, though, was not
34:19my favorite.
34:20Shandy.
34:21I think she's only
34:21going to go in the
34:22competition that can
34:22do real high fashion.
34:24Evil Shandai tonight.
34:25She looks kind of like
34:26a Paris Hilton wannabe.
34:28That's what I think.
34:31Ioana.
34:32My biggest problem
34:33is her body shape,
34:34I think.
34:34You know, I wouldn't
34:35want to see her in a
34:36swimsuit.
34:36Isn't it weird, like,
34:37with models, it's like
34:38a house?
34:38Yeah.
34:39Like, you're like,
34:40damn, it's gorgeous,
34:41but the kitchen sucks.
34:43Right?
34:43Everybody got something.
34:44I got something.
34:45Mercedes has that
34:45personality that she's
34:47fun, she's vivacious,
34:48she has a really nice
34:50energy.
34:50You know, she's not
34:51having meltdowns,
34:52you know, like someone
34:53else we know.
34:54Katie?
34:54She doesn't have
34:55enough, um, she
34:55doesn't have that
34:56extra something that
34:57really pulls me into
34:58wanting to know more
34:59about Katie.
35:00I want so much more
35:01out of her.
35:01I'd like her to see,
35:02like, to put maybe
35:02car grease in her hair
35:04or streak it with
35:05some pink.
35:05She's kind of the
35:06girl next door,
35:07but I think America's
35:08next top model has
35:09to be, like, the
35:09girl, like, way over
35:11there.
35:12Down the street,
35:12around the corner.
35:13Exactly.
35:14Camille, she knows
35:15everything, and I
35:17don't want to work
35:18with someone who
35:18knows everything.
35:20I think the fashion
35:20industry loves the
35:21sweet, sweet girls,
35:22and they love the
35:23diva bitches, and
35:24they don't like
35:24anything in between.
35:25I'm sorry, she
35:26really is rude and
35:28aggressive.
35:29But I have to say
35:30that she's beautiful,
35:31and I think her
35:32drive could take her
35:33far.
35:34I just want to go.
35:35Camille, just go.
35:36Let go, this whole
35:38control thing.
35:39Relax, girl.
35:40Hello, everybody.
35:49There are seven of you
35:50standing in front of
35:50me, but I only have
35:52six photos in my
35:53hands.
35:55And these six photos
35:56represent the six of
35:58you that will still be
35:59in the running towards
36:00becoming America's
36:01next top model.
36:04April.
36:04Keep on doing what
36:09you are doing.
36:10You really opened up
36:11today.
36:12Congratulations.
36:13You're still in the
36:13running towards becoming
36:14America's next top
36:15model.
36:17Hey, Lana.
36:21Congratulations.
36:24Mercedes.
36:26Congratulations.
36:29Sandy.
36:29Congratulations.
36:34You're still in the
36:34running towards becoming
36:35America's next top
36:35model.
36:41Sarah.
36:43One thing that's
36:43fighting against you is
36:44those bedroom sleepy
36:45eyes.
36:46Sometimes they don't
36:46really photograph that
36:47strongly, but in the
36:49acting challenge today,
36:50you rocked.
36:51Congratulations.
36:52You're still in the
36:53running towards becoming
36:53America's next top
36:54model.
36:58Will Katie and Camille
36:59please step forward?
37:01I only have one photo
37:02in my hands.
37:05And this photo
37:05represents the woman
37:07that will still be in
37:08the running towards
37:08becoming America's
37:09next top model.
37:12Katie.
37:13Sometimes the judges
37:14feel like you are a
37:16little bit too
37:16commercial, a little
37:18bit too safe.
37:20I gave you a haircut
37:21that I thought could
37:22edge you out, make you
37:23a little bit more
37:24high fashion, but you
37:25may not be emotionally
37:26ready to handle the
37:27dog-eat-dog world
37:29model.
37:31Camille, this week
37:33with the whole acting
37:34experience, you didn't
37:35open up.
37:37But being in the
37:37entertainment industry
37:38is about vulnerability
37:39and nobody wants a cold
37:41ass model on the set.
37:43Even right now, Camille,
37:45hard as nails.
37:46I'm not going to let
37:46anybody see me sweat
37:47because if I have to
37:48pack my bags, they'll
37:49know I didn't shed any
37:50tears for them.
37:50I didn't show any
37:51vulnerability.
38:00Camille, congratulations.
38:03You're still in the
38:04running towards becoming
38:05America's next top
38:06model.
38:09Thanks, Camille.
38:09I've been rejected.
38:17I've been disappointed
38:18in myself.
38:23I got my ass kicked out
38:33of the show.
38:38I've been cut off
38:38all my hair
38:39with this s**t.
38:41I'm a great
38:41chillin' deal.
38:45Go back to L.A.,
38:46work my ass off.
38:48Get to the top
38:49on my own.
38:50Stay tuned for scenes
39:07from our next episode.
39:10Here's what's coming up
39:11on America's next
39:12top model.
39:13I miss my boyfriend.
39:14I do.
39:14Shandy's long-distance
39:15relationship is testy.
39:17I'm really pissed.
39:18And the girls
39:20try to work it
39:21like pros
39:21when they take
39:22the stage
39:22in the world
39:23premiere music video
39:24of my first single,
39:25Shake Your Body.
